FlashBack! - The Sound Of Philadelphia - Compilation (album stream + documentaries)

Some of you might have thought by now that this blog is just another white girl's infatuation with rock music and that she probably doesn't know much - leave alone like much - black music. Nothing is further from the truth. The problem is finding full albums on grooveshark. It seems like most people that like "black music" only have some selected tracks available, hardly ever a full album. So I'll just take advantage of the problem and post this exquisite sampler of 70s leading label Philadelphia Records that flooded the world with high quality recordings... and the world thoroughly enjoyed it! So did I ;) "For The Love Of Money' and 'Do It Anyway You Wanna" are still in my A++ list. The Philly Sound is what first got me out on the dance floor, and boy, I sure left a lot of sweat out there through the years! :)

Philadelphia International Records is a record label founded by writer-producers, Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff in 1971. It was famous for showcasing the sub-genre of Philadelphia soul music and released a string of worldwide hits during the decade.
