Kalya Scintilla - Dance the Spiral Never Ending (album stream)

Kalya Scintilla is Yaegon Lamagier, A benevolent being incarnate from the star system womp - actually he's from Katoomba, Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia. Drawing inspiration from Nature, Love, tribal energy, healing, sacred geometry, and many other of life's wonders. Yaegon's music is quite unique in style and is definitely an interesting cross over between Dubstep/ Glitch Hop, the seductive sound of the Middle East and traditional Gypsy.

From last.fm
Yaegon Lamagier aka Kalya Scintilla is a 29 year old producer from Katoomba in New South Wales, Australia. He’s been producing for 6 years; he grew up in a quiet country town where pretty much all there was to do on the weekends was play sport or smoke weed and make music… Yaegon chose the latter.

After he left school he discovered the bright lights of a super fast city and with that came the club scene and electronic music. Being a drummer he really got into Break Beats and Hip hop, "so i brought some 1200′s and started feeding an ever increasing vinyl addiction."

In 2006 Yaegon got his first studio computer and started a Audio Engineering course. In 2007 he discovered the Psychedelic music scene (or Doof as it’s called over there), "it really opened my mind, ears and heart to an even more infinite and wonderful world of sound. My main focus became progressive psytrance with my Merkaba project."

Yaegon then started the Kalya Scintilla project in 2008, inspired by the seductive world of tribal belly dance and middle eastern sounds, and while at first it was a little creative release during Merkaba 'down-time' it has now become a beast of its own.
