Rack & Ruin - Staring Daggers (album stream)

Rack&Ruin are a powerpop rock & roll band from Sydney, Australia. Initially formed in London in 2007, brothers Levi and Aaron Kennedy played a swag of shows in London’s most famous musical boozers. Returning to Australia in 2008, an exhaustive search began for like minded musicians to complete the band. The addition of long time amigo Jordan Petersen of The Alohas and percussion whiz kid Jimmy Heydon, meant the band started dealing a string of aurally explosive aces two years after the search began.



Rack&Ruin began to rehearse in earnest in January 2010, honing their music into glass cutting diamonds of exceptional clarity. March 2011 saw the band recording with renowned engineer Jorden Brebach at Megaphon Studios.

In December 2011 the band united forces with legendary mastering engineer William Bowden. The result is Staring Daggers, an album that revolves around life in 21st century urban Australia. A unique concoction of consumerism run wild, danger on the streets, enchantment, love, disillusion and grime are all here.

Staring Daggers and will be released on 3rd March 2012 at Chippendale’s Landsdowne Hotel. Mighty fine bands will be joining them, entry is free and the record is fifteen bucks. Love to all.
