Bestival 2012 to be streamed live on YouTube

New Order, the xx and Azealia Banks are among lineup who will broadcast their sets online

This weekend's Bestival will be streamed live on YouTube. Those who can't make the trek to the Isle of Wight can experience the action from the comfort of their own living room, watching and listening online.

Artists including New Order, the xx, Azealia Banks and Bat for Lashes will broadcast their sets on Bestival's official YouTube channel, accessible in real time via laptop, iPhone or any internet-connected device. Although there's too much at Bestival to show absolutely everything, most acts from the Main Stage and Big Top will be featured in the stream, with a detailed daily programme posted on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.



Always at the forefront of the festival experience and new technology, Bestival is once again pushing the boundaries as it announces that for the first time, the festival will be live streamed to the Bestival YouTube channel for fans around the world to enjoy, in what is a UK festival exclusive.

The live stream will be available on the festival’s official YouTube channel – youtube.com/bestivaltv – across all internet-connected devices and it will cover both the Main Stage and Big Top on September 7th, 8th and 9th.

With what is one of the strongest line-ups in Bestival’s nine year history, music fans will be able to watch performances in real time, from wherever you are, as long as you have an internet connection, including headline performances from Florence + the Machine and New Order, a UK festival exclusive appearance from The xx and live sets from Friendly Fires, Two Door Cinema Club, Emeli Sande, Bat for Lashes, Orbital, Miike Snow, Azealia Banks and many more.

Once Bestival comes to a close, individual songs from acts will be available on-demand for the next 90 days on the Bestival YouTube channel.
