Neon Windbreaker - Untitled (album stream)

The last time Neon Windbreaker released music, they did so as a download via sandwiches and fruit. For the full-length debut, however, the noisy Toronto band are taking a more traditional approach. Their debut album, Untitled, will be released digitally on September 25 ahead of its physical release on October 16 through We Are Busy Bodies. But you can stream the whole thing below thanks to Exclaim.ca.

With 12 songs (plus a bite-sized intro track featuring a certain Human Serviette) in 22 minutes, this is a fast and furious collection that draws on vintage post-punk and hardcore. It was recorded this past March with Josh Korody (Great Bloomers, Elk, Burning Love) at Candle Studios.

Neon Windbreaker features members of Beliefs and Modern Superstitions, and clearly they're not the type of people to procrastinate, since they're already working on new music and plan to release a 7-inch before the year is out.

Neon Windbreaker are an outrageously exciting Jesus Lizard-style Toronto five piece treading the spidery line between noise-rock abandon and melodic structure. They made waves early last year with their “sandwich-EP (“It kind of made sense. People aren’t buying records anymore, but people will always buy food”!!), but since took some time out from playing shows to record their debut album. - NXNE
