Spot-On: Stickup Kid

San Jose, Calif. punk outfit Stickup Kid have been hard at work writing and demo'ing for a new full-length, yet they still found the time to film a few live performances of tracks off their most current EP, Nothing About Me. We're excited to be premiering one of them—a live video of EP closer "The Weather Outside Is Weather."
Yes, it automatically gets brownie points for taking inspiration from Forgetting Sarah Marshall but there's plenty of legitimate reasons why this performance might just place these guys in "new favorite band" territory. Between their angst-ridden vocals, churning guitar parts, perfect punk hooks and down-to-earth appeal, they exude everything that's right about modern punk music and will have you dancing along in no time at all.
Get to know them by watching the video below and streaming the EP above, catch them touring the West Coast with I Call Fives this fall, and playing at the Very GK! Holiday Festival in Oakland, Calif. with Set Your Goals.
