A production duo featuring Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, the Chainsmokers mix indie, dance, and pop into a chart-topping sound that spawned late-2010s multi-platinum hits like "Roses," "Closer," and Coldplay collaboration "Something Just Like This." In 2017, the pair won their first Grammy for the Daya-featuring anthem "Don't Let Me Down." After the release of their debut album, Memories: Do Not Open, they switched up their aggressive EDM approach to include more pop and indie rock touches. Starting in 2018, they released a single each month, later collected on full-length albums Sick Boy (2018) and World War Joy (2019).
