Swinging Soul Machine was a Rotterdam soul band in the sixties with singer Iwan ‘Spooky’ Groeneveld. Spooky, however, took one day off during the recording sessions. The instrumental "Spooky’s Day’s Off", recorded that day, was in the Top 40 for fourteen weeks in 1969 ...It finally reached #2 in the Dutch Top 40 on March 1, 1969
