Melbourne punk rockers, Slowly Slowly bring you hard-hitting honesty, bitter-sweet melancholia and an explosion of sound.

Slowly Slowly’s second album – is a vivid snapshot of the life of Slowly Slowly Ben Stewart and those closest to him.

Lyrically dense yet restrained instrumentally to allow room for striking imagery and vibrant metaphors, Stewart veers between stream-of-consciousness accounts of futile existence in the city to rich narratives about love, life and the family cornerstone at St. Leonards beach.

Balancing raw honesty with engaging hooks, there’s the child-like opener “Dinosaurs” and “Aliens” whose thought-purging social commentary sneers at the world through the glummest lens. Elsewhere he examines complicated family dynamics on “The Cold War”, the Tinder-riddled search for happiness on “Ten Leaf Clover” and finally it all falling into place on “Alchemy”. Throughout St. Leonards, Stewart captures the world around him in full colour.

St. Leonards is out now.

Abnormality - "Curb Stomp" [Metal & X-Core]

Curb Stomp

Abnormality "Curb Stomp" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Order at: https://ift.tt/2T2Tyb7

The album was tracked primarily at The Brick HitHouse in Hyannis, Massachusetts with producers Peter Rutcho (Revocation, Ravage) and Shane Frisby (Becoming The Archetype, Bury Your Dead) with vocals produced by Zdenek Sikyr at Studio Hostivar (Cult of Fire, Master’s Hammer) in Prague. Having worked with Rutcho since 2010, it was a painless, professional process, the band also bringing in Chaney Crabb of Entheos to add a guest vocal to the devastating “Penance”. “‘Sociopathic Constructs‘ is the result of tons of hard work and shows the progress we have made as a band since ‘Mechanisms‘ (2016),” asserts Sundaramurthy. “We feel the time is now for such an album, the brutality perfectly reflects the darkness, violence, and harsh reality of our world.”

"Sociopathic Constructs" serves to further cement Abnormality‘s place at the cutting edge of savage ultra-technical death metal. With this release, the quintet have stepped up their game across the board, making for a record that is as violent, complex and thought provoking as any you will hear in 2019, and the band were not afraid to explore and mix things up. “I think this record we felt free enough to just go where we wanted to within a song,” states guitarist Jeremy Henry. “We had no qualms with switching styles and approaches from riff to riff. To have a whole section grinding away and then just switch gears, hit the brakes and drop a slow, old school Morbid Angel warship groove in there. We felt free to follow our instincts, and just let our influences shine through.”

Cevin Fisher - "(You Got Me) Burning Up" [Dance]

Cevin Fisher (born Kevin Fisher, October 26, 1963) is an American house music record producer. He is best known for songs such as "The Freaks Come Out" (billed as Cevin Fisher's Big Freak) and "(You Got Me) Burning Up," the latter of which featured vocals by Loleatta Holloway. He achieved five entries in the UK Singles Chart between October 1998 and February 2001.

One of the break-out house producers of the late '90s, though he'd already been working for a decade, Cevin Fisher is responsible for a growing number of club favorites including "Freaks Come Out," "(You Got Me) Burnin' Up," "Music Saved My Life," and "House Music." Fisher began DJing while in his teens, first in his father's New Jersey bar and at various college gigs but later in a spot at the mecca for garage music, Club Zanzibar. From there, he moved to New York in the late '80s and began working on production with employees like Motown and Arthur Baker's Shakedown Studios. Convinced by Danny Tenaglia to begin recording on his own, he debuted with several anthemic tunes like "House Is a Feeling" (as Sunday School) and "Hands on Love," songs that carried on the vibes of early house pioneers Tony Humphries and Larry Heard. Early singles "The Way We Used To" and "Shine the Light" earned international clubplay, though it was 1998's "The Freaks Come Out" that pushed him into the mainstream house stratosphere. Released on at least five different labels, the single made Fisher's reputation as a suave producer, with preeminent vocals on his cuts. Two compilations appeared in 1999, the mixed Dangerous Disco and the Nervous compilation Cevin Fisher's Nervous Tracks. One year later, Underground 2000 appeared on Razor & Tie. Fisher has also remixed Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Robert Miles, and Kevin Aviance.

Neon Future III is the fifth studio album by American DJ and producer Steve Aoki. It was released on November 9, 2018 through Ultra Records and Dim Mak Records, serving as the third chapter of Aoki's Neon Future concept albums. A fourth installment of the series entitled Neon Future IV, will be released sometime in 2019.

Prior to the album's release, Aoki revealed the meaning of each track in an interview with Billboard magazine. According to him, the album is "really about embracing technology" and "the future of science and ideas, music and humanity. It's just the general overview of a techno future optimist." It includes themes from various genres of music, along with a cameo from Bill Nye on one track. In advance of the album, "Waste It on Me" charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

Allegaeon - "Extremophiles (b)" [Metal & X-Core]

Extremophiles (b)

"Extremophiles (b)" music video by Allegaeon
Added: 14-03-2019
Genre : Metal & X-Core
Description : Allegaeon "Extremophiles (B)" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Allegaeon "Extremophiles (b)" from the "Apoptosis" album.
Directed and edit by Vince Edwards with Ryan Williams and Allegaeon.

With Apoptosis, Allegaeon have delivered their defining statement. A near-perfect symbiosis of technical, progressive, and melodic death metal, it is a record that is as crushingly heavy as it is inventive, lithe and intelligent, and marks a significant leap forward in their songwriting. "On this record, I was more open to new ideas that we might not have used in past," states guitarist Michael Stancel. "Rather than deleting something because 'it's not Allegaeon-y enough', I would take a step back and see if that idea fit the song and decide if it was worth keeping. With that mentality came some of my favorite songs, because I was less worried about if it fit into our old sound." This statement is borne out across the whole album, which while very much embodying the core Allegaeon sound that has drawn fans in over the course of their impressive career, it pushes into new territory, and does so with unerring confidence. "Thematically, this record is all about contrast, and the music reflects that perfectly," says vocalist Riley McShane. "The vocals are heavier than ever, but there are also more clean sections. The drums are faster than ever but also more dynamic, and the guitar playing is lower and slower than on most previous albums, but also provides long, melodic and beautiful sections throughout."

-

Allegaeon is an American extreme metal band from Larimer County, Colorado, formed in 2008. They have released one EP and four studio albums.

In January 2019, Allegaeon announced a release date for their new album, Apoptosis, and released a new music video single.

Deaf Havana are an English alternative rock band from Hunstanton and King's Lynn in Norfolk. The band was formed in 2005 at the King's Lynn campus of The College of West Anglia.

Following their Top 5 album All These Countless Nights, Rituals was written as a challenge taken up by James Veck-Gilodi (Vocals) & Phil Gornell (Producer) to subvert the band's writing process, and present songs representative of the band in present.

Rituals is the result of throwing out the 'Deaf Havana rulebook': first; James picked the song titles, second; he wrote the tracks that fit the theme of those titles, third; everything was written on the computer, then the band came in to play all the parts. Working like this felt backwards to James, who previously only written songs on his acoustic guitar, with continuous input from the rest of the band. They set themselves a deadline of April to finish writing, and if any of it was any good, they would make it available by August. No more waiting half a decade for people to finally hear new music.

A recurring theme on the album is one of struggle and redemption. The music is in turn with introspective and joyous, with help form the London Contemporary Voice Choir, who feature on 5 tracks. The band performed with the choir at their intimate show at London's Union Chapel for the War Child charity as part of the Brit Awards gigs.

Description : Awaken I Am - Kin

Awaken I Am "Kin" is from the album, The Beauty In Tragedy, album available April 26th.

Directed by Brian Raida
Performances Shot by Colin Jeffs
Produced by Andrew Melzer

-

As their first US tour came to a close in March of 2018, tragedy struck AWAKEN I AM on their home soil in Brisbane, Australia. On the morning of May 15, guitarist Connor Verner-Oakley’s 24 year old life was cut short by the hands of an intentionally reckless driver, whose unsuccessful attempt took the wrong life. While in the US, the band was able to cut “Dissolution,” sadly the final recording starring Oakley (previously released April 30, 2018).

Following the accident, the remaining members of AWAKEN I AM returned to the US and dove straight into writing/recording with producer Taylor Larson (The Word Alive, Asking Alexandria). Apart from two songs written before his passing, the other three tracks serve as a tribute to Oakley. Some directed towards their fallen brother, others at the responsible party and the songs from those sessions proved to be both cathartic and inspiring. Drummer Luke McKenzie divulges, “’Dissolution’ was the last track we had the privilege of recording with Connor, he was so proud of it. We shared the same dream with him and we hope to make him proud by keeping that dream alive with The Beauty In Tragedy.”
