"Wow" (stylized as "Wow.") is a song by American rapper Post Malone, released as a single via Republic Records on December 24, 2018. The song was produced by Frank Dukes and Louis Bell.

Austin Richard Post (born July 4, 1995), known professionally as Post Malone, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. Post Malone has gained recognition for blending various musical genres, for his introspective songwriting, and his laconic vocal style. Born in Syracuse, New York and raised in Grapevine, Texas, Malone began his hip hop career following the release of his debut single "White Iverson" in 2015.

"White Iverson" peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was later certified quadruple platinum in the United States; its success resulted in his recording contract with Republic Records. Malone has since earned the number-four album Stoney (2016) and number-one album Beerbongs & Bentleys (2018) on the US Billboard 200. Beerbongs & Bentleys broke several streaming records upon release, while Stoney broke the record for most weeks on Billboard's Top R&B and Hip-Hop Albums chart after reaching its 77th week. Further, Malone has attained six top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100: "Congratulations", "Better Now", "Wow" and the chart-topping songs "Rockstar", "Psycho", and "Sunflower" with Swae Lee.

March 13, 2019 | Bob Boilen -- The expectation upon seeing a banjo hanging is one of rollicking rowdiness, but when Kaia Kater began to strum her five-string, the mood in the office turned plaintive and a bit mournful. The Afro-Caribbean-Canadian singer and songwriter, who studied Appalachian music at West Virginia's Davis & Elkins College, often references the Black Lives Matter movement, within a music form that doesn't exactly snap to mind as being in dialogue with modern issues.

These days, Kaia Kater records for Smithsonian Folkways, and some of the songs she brought to the Tiny Desk come from her recent recording Grenades, a record she worked on while exploring her father's home country of Grenada.

It's a country that has "experienced a lot of political turmoil," she says. "My father left when he was 16 years old and he came to Canada as a refugee, on his own. It's a story I ran away from for a long time, where I didn't want to reconcile with myself being this kind of hyphenated Canadian." Kaia Kater tries to come to terms with that history on the last song at the Tiny Desk, also the title track of Grenades. "Rain heavy like carpet bombs, sweetgrass, and lemonade / Fold the memory into your arms and whisper it away." The imagery is stunning, her Tiny Desk Concert sublime.

Ólafur's fourth official solo album, re:member, was released in August 2018. The album featured his ground-breaking new musical system called Stratus. The Stratus Pianos are two self-playing, semi-generative player pianos which are triggered by a central piano played by Arnalds. The custom-built software was born out of two years of work by the composer and audio developer, Halldor Eldjarn. As Arnalds plays a note on the piano, two different notes are generated by Stratus, creating unexpected harmonies and surprising melodic sequences.

The algorithms generated from Stratus were also used to create the album artwork. In an interview with Sound of Boston Arnalds explains that the artist, Torsten Posselt from FELD studios, used the Stratus software as a starting point and made his own software that translated the same MIDI signals used for the music. Each dot corresponds to a piano note in the title track: 88 fields correspond to 88 notes; the thicker the dot, the higher the frequency of that note being played.[21]

Ólafur Arnalds (born 3 November 1986) is an Icelandic multi-instrumentalist and producer from Mosfellsbær, Iceland. Ólafur Arnalds mixes strings and piano with loops and beats crossing over from ambient/electronic to pop. Ólafur was a drummer of hardcore / metal bands Fighting Shit, Celestine, and others.

In 2009, Ólafur also formed an experimental techno project, entitled Kiasmos, with Janus Rasmussen from the Icelandic electro-pop band Bloodgroup, announcing his electronic debut album in 2014.

“Obamacare came together just as organically as everything else on Guns. I’d been sitting on a few arrangements of two samples for a couple months. While in Oakland I was working with Chris Keys and Sean 5ill (Roger Billagio from Being You Is Great). Keys was doing an unintentional bit as an angry drum instructor that led to some amazing breaks. Once the drums existed the homeless samples basically feel into place. Keys then added his amazing piano but the real star of the song (besides my bars), the real cherry on top, the Vanjie Drag Race exit was the final edition. The bass line laid down by Keys. The rest is history. Plus I’d like to think of my music as free healthcare for all.”

“Like most of my visuals I try to find the place where proper pairing and a good excuse to try my hand at something I always loved as a kid meet. The video for Obamacare is an homage to many of my favorite PBS, Sesame Street shorts with a touch of Terry Gilliam (and I mean a drip. Trust me I know my place. Lol). It’s one of my favorite songs on the album so I figured doing collage work in the style of my favorite era of animation was fitting. About 95% of the video was taken from the pages of archived magazines. Next video will likely be animatronics if this trend continues.”

The Dream Syndicate is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California, originally active from 1981 to 1989, and reunited since 2012. The band is associated with neo-psychedelia and the Paisley Underground music movement; of the bands in that movement, according to the Los Angeles Times, the Dream Syndicate "rocked with the highest degree of unbridled passion and conviction." Though never commercially successful, the band met with considerable acclaim, especially for its songwriting and guitar playing. Bandleader Steve Wynn reformed the band in 2012, and a fifth studio album was announced in February 2017.

Based out of Whittier, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, Plague Vendor are a punk band who harness their nervy, nocturnal energy into their driving sound. Made up of singer Brandon Blaine, guitarist Jay Rogers, bassist Michael Perez, and drummer Luke Perine, the band's sound blends the urgency of early post-punk with the reckless attitude of hardcore, creating a style that squirms with nervous energy while it refuses to sit still. In 2014, the band signed on with the legendary punk label Epitaph, where they released their concise debut, Free to Eat, in the spring of that year. Recorded over the course of two weeks with producer and engineer Stuart Sikes (the Walkmen, Cat Power, Modest Mouse), the band issued their propulsive sophomore outing, Bloodsweat, in early 2016.

Grayscale are an American pop punk band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2011, the group currently features lead vocalist Collin Walsh, lead guitarist and backup vocalist Andrew Kyne, rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist Dallas Molster, and bassist Nick Ventimiglia. The band formed from the Philadelphia pop punk scene, building a strong reputation and gaining steam among fans and music lovers. In April 14, 2015 Grayscale released their first EP "Change" gaining much success. They are currently signed to Fearless Records.

On March 17, 2019, Grayscale announced via their Twitter account that they had parted ways with drummer Nick Veno, citing "creative differences." Veno later released a statement on his own account providing his view of the situation, which differed from the band's previous statement. The band clarified that Veno would finish out playing the band's remaining tour dates with them and that more details on his departure would be released the following day. It turns out that it was just a prank for the release of there new music video for "If I Ever See You Again" and that Nick is not leaving the band.

A hard-charging, genre-juggling hard rock unit based out of Milan, Italy Destrage employs a compelling blend of melody-driven groove, math, djent, and progressive metal that's as technically impressive as it is highly cinematic. Today, Babygrande Records announces its latest signing of the Jamaican duo The Yutes. Hailing from Kingston, the brothers, Santris and ChrisNI, seamlessly combine their Jamaican dancehall and reggae influence and with trap.

The Yutes (Jamaican Patois Slang for "The Youth") are both brothers and they are actually the sons of Jamaican dancehall legend Mr. Lexx. As teenagers, they moved to the US to pursue music full-time and have since gained notoriety with a handful of single releases including "Swervin" and "Push." They also received traction with their track "Trap Don Dadas," which was featured on the A3C Volume 7 Compilation. The Yutes are coming off of a massive performance at this year's SXSW Festival, where they shared the stage with J.I.D., Flipp Dinero, DaBaby, Reason, Drako, Lightskin Keisha, and Valee, among other at Stubbs.

The announcement of The Yutes signing to Babygrande arrives simultaneous to the release of their debut video for "Don't Blow My High." The song, which features Operator and is produced by D-errick, meshes perfectly with the Cricket-directed visual inspired by the group's Jamaican heritage. Catfish and the Bottlemen are a Welsh indie rock band, formed in Llandudno in 2007. Their debut album, The Balcony, reached number 10 in the UK Albums Chart and achieved Platinum status on 30 December 2016. The band have toured in South America, Japan, UK, Europe, North America, and Australia and have featured in a number of festivals including Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Latitude, Community festival, Reading and Leeds, T in the Park, Governors Ball and Bonnaroo. They won a Brit Award for British Breakthrough act on 24 February 2016. On 27 May 2016, they released their second album, The Ride. 

On 9 January 2019, the band released a new single entitled "Longshot", the lead single off their upcoming third studio album, The Balance. The band followed this by releasing the second single "Fluctuate" on 13 February 2019.
