Australian-born adult alternative singer/songwriter Dean Lewis pens yearning, emotionally vulnerable tunes in the vein of contemporaries such as Jamie Lawson, Ed Sheeran, and Lewis Capaldi. Emerging in the late 2010s, he had his first taste of international success with the hit single "Be Alright," which was included on his official full-length debut, 2019's A Place We Knew.

The Sydney-bred Lewis taught himself guitar growing up, playing along to his favorite Oasis songs and writing his own compositions, slowly amassing a small arsenal of original material. He remained largely outside the public eye for some time, quietly writing over 80 original songs before eventually releasing his first proper single, "Waves," in 2016. The song was a huge hit in Australia and was certified platinum within a year of its release. He followed the single with "Need You Now" in early 2017, and in May of that year released a debut EP titled Same Kind of Different. The moody and evocative pop tones of the EP included "Waves" and "Need You Now," as well as four additional tracks in a similar dark yet melodic style. 2018 saw the release of the wistful single "Be Alright," with the nostalgic "7 Minutes" arriving in early 2019. "Be Alright" became an international hit, surpassing a billion streams by the time his debut LP, A Place We Knew, arrived that March.

"Sixteen" is a song by English singer Ellie Goulding, released as a single through Polydor Records on 12 April 2019. It was co-written by Goulding with Raye and Fred, and produced by Ian Kirkpatrick, Fred and Mike Wise. Goulding has said the song is about the "reckless days of adolescence".

Goulding announced the song on social media on 11 April 2019, also posting that she compiled the cover artwork from friends' photos of when they were sixteen years of age.

One-third of rap outfit Migos, Offset is a rapper whose speedy rhymes and love of interjections and clever wordplay made him a fan favorite as the trap trio ascended the hip-hop charts. After breaking through with Migos, he branched off as a solo artist, collaborating with multiple artists and reaching chart highs with Tyga ("Taste") and Kodak Black ("Zeze") in 2018. In early 2019, he issued his debut full-length, Father of 4.

C U L T U R E Born Kiari Kendrell Cephus in Lawrenceville, Georgia, he initially formed another collective called Polo Club in 2009. The following year, he formed Migos alongside Takeoff and his cousin Quavo. The trio broke out of the underground when their track "Versace," from the 2013 mixtape Young Rich N*ggas, became a widespread hit. Offset went on to release chart-topping studio albums with Migos, including 2017's Culture and it's follow-up Culture II. Without Warning, a collaboration with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, appeared on Halloween of 2017 and immediately hit the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 album chart. The set featured his triple-platinum hit, "Ric Flair Drip." Following a slew of guest appearances -- including the multi-platinum, Top 10 singles "Taste" with Tyga and "Zeze" with Kodak Black -- Offset issued the single, "Red Room," which landed on his solo debut, Father of 4.

Contemporary singer/songwriter and producer Ruth B launched her career with the piano-and-vocal ballad "Lost Boy" (2015), which began as a fragment, uploaded to social media, that resulted in a contract with Columbia. A Top 25, multi-platinum pop hit in the artist's native Canada and the U.S., "Lost Boy" led to a Juno award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and the release of an assured debut album, Safe Haven (2017).

In May 2017, only a month after the Juno Award ceremony, Berhe issued her debut album, Safe Haven. Produced primarily by Joel Little (Lorde, Broods, Khalid), it was more ornamented and pop-oriented than the preceding EP. The full-length debuted at number 17 in Canada and was quickly certified gold. Berhe got to work on a follow-up, and in September 2018 returned with the pop-R&B hybrid "Rare," a collaboration with songwriter/producer D'Mile (Mary J. Blige, Diddy, Ty Dolla $ign).

Maren Larae Morris (born April 10, 1990) is an American country music singer, songwriter, and record producer. She has released four studio albums. Her 2015 extended play, Maren Morris, charted on two Billboard charts. Her major label debut album, Hero, reached number five on the Billboard 200 chart and number one on the Top Country Albums chart.

A lively and buoyant mix of synth pop, psych, and soul, Australian outfit World Champion became indie darlings with the release of their 2015 EP, Avocado Galaxy. Tours and appearances at prominent Australian festivals followed, though it would be three years before they returned with new music in the form of 2018's "Gun" single.

Formed in 2015 as the studio project of Sydney-based musicians Will Campion (the Chevaliers, Cut Silk) and Julian Sudek (Canyons, FLRL), World Champion earned critical acclaim for their eclectic debut EP, Avocado Galaxy, which was released in December of that year by the Future Classic label. Their vibrant electronic psych-pop struck a chord with fans, and the band spent the next year hitting major Australian festivals like Splendour in the Grass and Lost Paradise and touring with acts like Toro y Moi, Jagwar Ma, and Parcels. Returning in 2018 -- this time as a trio with third member Reg Harris -- World Champion issued the groove-driven single "Gun," again via Future Classic.

As Lostboycrow, Chris Blair fuses R&B, pop, and electronic music into smoothly soulful songs. After establishing his genre-bending style with streaming hits such as 2016's "Powers," he gave it a more ambitious scope with the Traveler EP trilogy and 2019's full-length Santa Fe.

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Blair was into sports as well as music, and joined the high school choir while listening to pop-punk, screamo, and classic rock. Meanwhile, family vacations made him aware of the Crow Indians in Montana, and he became fascinated with their culture. He brought all of these influences together as Lostboycrow in the early 2010s and moved to Los Angeles in 2014. It was there that he met Flor bassist/producer Dylan William, who became one of his closest collaborators. He released his first track, "Adolescent," in December 2014 and followed it with a string of singles including "HiyHiy," "Start Something," and "Say You Want Me."

Lostboycrow's debut EP, Sigh for Me, arrived in 2016 and featured two of his most popular tracks, "Powers" and the Skizzy Mars collaboration "The Lost Boy." That year also saw the release of "Where It All Goes," which was produced by William, as well as "Stay a Little Longer." During this time, Blair amassed a set of songs that he released as a series of three EPs. Traveler: The First Legend arrived in May 2017 and included the streaming hits "Real Name" and the Romeo and Juliet-inspired "Verona." Traveler: The Second Legend followed that October, and Blair completed the trilogy in early 2018 with Traveler: The Third Legend, which featured production by William and his Flor bandmate Zach Grace. At the beginning of the year, Blair and a small group of collaborators decamped to an Airb'n'b in New Mexico to make Lostboycrow's first full-length. The free-flowing sessions and desert landscapes resulted in Santa Fe, which arrived in early 2019 via Red Music/Sony.

Dermot Joseph Kennedy (born December 13, 1991) is an Irish singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known for his 2018 single "Power Over Me". He is signed to Interscope Records, and released a compilation of previous songs in a self-titled album Dermot Kennedy in early 2019. His debut studio album is scheduled to be released in 2019.

Making their name with full-bodied, hard-hitting punk rock reinforced with a hard rock undercurrent, Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes were formed in 2015 by Carter, former lead singer with the successful U.K. punk band Gallows. Carter was a founding member of Gallows in 2005, but in 2011 he came to an impasse with the group over their musical direction. Carter left the band and debuted a new group, Pure Love, in 2012, whose sound was more indebted to mainstream rock and had a more positive lyrical stance. Pure Love released a handful of singles and one album, 2013's Anthems, but in April 2014, Carter announced the digital release of the group's final recordings. In March 2015, Carter launched a new project, Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes, with Carter on lead vocals, Dean Richardson (formerly of Heights) on guitar, Thomas Mitchener (another alumnus of Gallows) on bass, and Memby Jago (who'd previously worked with the Ghost of a Thousand) on drums. With a sound that returned Carter to the forceful sound of Gallows, Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes made their recorded debut with the 2015 EP Rotten, and in August 2015 they dropped their first full-length album, Blossom. The band was soon touring regularly in the U.K. and Europe, and in 2016 they introduced a new lineup, with Mitchener and Jago replaced by a new rhythm section of drummer Gareth Grover (formerly of Gallows and Haunts) and bassist Tom "Tank" Barclay. Carter & the Rattlesnakes' second album, Modern Ruin, was released in January 2017 and saw a slight return to the more melodic alt-rock sound the frontman had explored with Pure Love, with positive results -- the album sold well and the band was a major draw that year on the festival circuit. 2019's End of Suffering, which included the bruising single "Crowbar," continued in a similar vein.
