Bringing Chicago gangsta rap back to a raw and minimal style, MC 600Breezy exploded on the scene with a gruff voice and gang-praising lyrics. A member of the 600 set of the Black Disciples Nation, the Chicago native first hit in 2014 when he uploaded his solo track "Don't Get Smoked". A year later he joined fellow gang member Young Famous for the anthem "600 on Top," then that same year he hit solo with "Do Sum". In 2016, the track had topped over three-million views and found a home on the MC's release George Gervin. The mixtape included a guest appearance from veteran rapper OJ da Juiceman.

Directed by David Ashton and Katie Alice Greer

Priests are a post-punk band from Washington D.C. Formed in 2012, they are composed of Katie Alice Greer (vocals), Daniele Daniele (drums), Taylor Mulitz (bass), and G.L. Jaguar (guitar). Strong proponents of DIY ethic, Priests have autonomously released three EPs through their independently run label Sister Polygon Records, as well as tapes and singles from acts such as Downtown Boys, Snail Mail, Shady Hawkins, and other local D.C. bands. In an interview with the Diamondback, guitarist G.L. expressed their commitment to "do it yourself" approaches in creating exposure for corporately marginalized music, "It's important to try and make safe and supportive art spaces in communities that are very much community oriented." In 2017, Priests released their full-length debut LP Nothing Feels Natural which found itself on several best albums of 2017 lists including Billboard, NPR, the Atlantic, Will's Band of the Week, and Pitchfork. On inauguration day, just days before the release of the album, the band played an event which they helped organize called NO: A Night of Anti-Fascist Sound Resistance in the Capital of the USA at the Black Cat. Rolling Stone described the band as "forging jagged incantations that challenge norms ranging from the driving forces of capitalism to punk's own chest-beating macho traditions.".

Meat On My Bones

"Meat On My Bones" music video by Bad Sounds
Added: 12-05-2019
Genre : Pop
Description : Bad Sounds - Meat On My Bones (Official Video)

This video is a collaboration between us and 4 very different, but equally dope, animators from across the globe.

When we found out how expensive it is to make an animation video Callum volunteered to try and learn how to do it. Then half way through he regretted it (cos animation takes f**king ages btw). Its got loadsa references to music that we love, and some of our BFFs in bands are in it too (Stevie Parker, ThisisDA, Fenne Lily, Tamu Masif, and Swimming Girls).

The basic idea is that people hear music differently, and interpret it in different ways. Hopefully it makes sense to people buuuut if it doesn’t… at least there are zombies in it.

Bath, U.K.-based indie pop outfit Bad Sounds blasted their way out of the underground with their infectious, brass-sampling 2016 single Wages, falling somewhere between the sound of the Go! Team and Rat Boy.

Formed in 2014 by brothers Callum and Ewan Merritt, the pair grew up in a music-filled household before both playing stints in local bands. While Callum moved to London to pursue a career as a recording engineer, Ewan stayed back home, immersing himself in hip-hop and beat-making production. With Callum returning home, the pair realized that by bringing together their differing musical tastes they could combine them to create something truly unique. The duo's debut single, "Wages," dropped in 2016 and quickly caught the attention of BBC Radio DJ Annie Mac. By the following year the pair had signed a deal with Sony imprint Insanity Records, before releasing the EP Mixtape One. Becoming a live entity at the same time, the brothers were joined by Charlie Pitt (bass), Sam Hunt (guitar), and Olivia Dimery (drums), to flesh out their live sound, with each of them eventually becoming full-time members. 2018 saw the group deliver their debut album, Get Better, an eclectic mix of Odelay-era Beck, 70's funk and soul, and Flaming Lips-esque psychedelics.

By combining elements of alternative hip-hop with Jack Johnson-esque cabana pop on early demos, Naples, Florida's Dominic Fike went from unknown to major-label signee in 2018. His debut EP, Don't Forget About Me, Demos, arrived later the same year.

After some demos emerged in 2017, Fike, then in his early twenties, was well covered in the music press for signing a multi-million-dollar deal with Sandy Boys and Columbia Records before even releasing a song. They put out the reworked Don't Forget About Me, Demos in mid-October 2018. The set's opening track, "3 Nights," topped a million streams before the end of the month.

An effusive British pop/rock/R&B quartet who first found success under the name Rixton, Push Baby adopted their new moniker in 2019 after a four-year hiatus. Founded in 2012, Rixton made a huge splash in 2014 when their debut single, "Me and My Broken Heart," charted worldwide.

They first turned heads in 2013 with their hugely successful YouTube channel, which featured them covering hits from the likes of Taylor Swift, R. Kelly, Rita Ora, and Chris Brown. Invoking names like Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, and Ed Sheeran, the group formed in Manchester in 2012 around the talents of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Jake Roche, bassist/keyboardist and backing vocalist Danny Wilkin, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Charley Bagnall, and drummer Lewi Morgan. Signing with high-profile manager Scooter Braun (Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Kanye West), the group made its American debut in March 2014 with the Interscope-issued Me and My Broken Heart EP, with the promise of a full-length outing to follow later in the year. In 2015, Rixton returned with their debut full-length, Let the Road, featuring the hit singles "Wait on Me" and "Hotel Ceiling." The LP peaked at number 19 on the U.K. Albums chart, but the band was dropped by Interscope later that year.

Dissatisfied with their image, the group decided to re-brand, and re-emerged in 2019 under the name Push Baby. Pursuing a more honest lyrical style while retaining the anthemic pop- and dance-oriented R&B sound that won them favor as Rixton, Push Baby released their debut single, "Mama's House," in April 2019.

A New York-based hardcore trio who augment their minimal bass-and-drums assault with samples, electronic manipulation, and the occasional report of a banjo, Show Me the Body are musical activists, dedicated to protecting the people and culture of their community as well as the city's underground music scene. Taking their name from the legal term "corpus delicti," Show Me the Body feature Julian Cashwan Pratt on lead vocals and banjo, Harlan Steed on bass, and Noah Cohen-Corbett on drums. The group's story began when Pratt and Steed were both students at Elisabeth Irwin High School, a progressive school in Manhattan. The two became friends and decided to form a band. Initially known as U-Lock Justice, the group became a trio with the addition of Cohen-Corbett, and they changed their name to Show Me the Body. Becoming part of the Letter Racer collective -- a community of conscious underground artists and musicians that also includes the hip-hop group Ratking -- Show Me the Body soon developed a potent reputation in New York City, playing to growing crowds in makeshift alternative venues around the city. In 2015, Letter Racer released the group's first EP, S M T B, and an album followed in 2016. Titled Body War, the LP earned enthusiastic press and attracted the attention of the independent label Loma Vista Records. Loma Vista struck a deal with Show Me the Body and reissued the debut album before 2016 was out. In January 2017, Show Me the Body made headlines in the music press when, shortly after they had been announced as part of the lineup for the 2017 Coachella Festival, they declared they would not take part in the event. Two days later, they announced they would be playing Coachella after all, though while in California, they would also perform benefit shows for environmental and LGBT-related charities, as well as donating their performance fee from the festival to the same organizations. The band dropped a mixtape, Corpus 1, in March 2017.
