Pre-order "Nothing But Wild" here:

Out August 2nd

"Nothing But Wild simply is the ultimate love letter to US rock – and the real deal.”

„The limit is the sky!” That`s not just a quote from furious opening track ‘Soundtrack Of My Life‘ – it`s also a self-fulfilling prophecy in the case of The New Roses! The German band will support the Scorpions on several shows in summer and got recently invited by rock gods KISS to their very own cruise for the second time, but with their fourth album Nothing But Wild they actually climb the rock Olympus themselves. Total pretension? Then you haven`t heard the killer melody carrying ‘Down By The River‘, the sizzling 80s licks of the title track or the rugged ballad ‘The Bullet‘. Nothing But Wild simply is the ultimate love letter to US rock – and the real deal.

The New Roses (stylised as THE NEW ROSES) is a rock band from Wiesbaden, Germany.

The New Roses were founded in 2007 by singer Timmy Rough and drummer Urban Berz and officially took on the name "The New Roses" in 2012. The band was completed in 2012 with Stefan Kassner (bass guitar) and Dizzy Presley (guitar). By this time, The New Roses had already opened for ZZ Top, Black Stone Cherry, Joe Bonamassa, Die Toten Hosen, Blackfoot and Roger Chapman. In 2010 the band toured as special guest for US Southern Rockers Molly Hatchet on their "Justice World Tour" in Germany and Switzerland.

In August of 2017 The New Roses released their 3rd album "One More For The Road" (Napalm Records/Universal), which hit the German Top 20 album charts and the Swiss Top 100 album charts on #52. It contained the two radio singles "Every Wild Heart" and "Life Ain't Easy (For A Boy With Long Hair)". Like the previous records it was once again produced by Markus Teske at Bazement Studios in Strinz-Trinitatis, Germany.

The special thrill of hearing an artist grow into their voice is emphatically served by the debut album from Ed Riman, the half-Welsh, half-Indonesian, London-based singer-songwriter and soundscape-ist who records as Hilang Child. Released through Bella Union in August, Years radiates a rich sense of self-discovery in its lush, textured layers of sound and feeling. Between its blossoming choruses, multi-tracked harmonies and loose theme of embracing adulthood, it’s an epiphanic debut from an artist not just fulfilling his early promise but reaching far beyond it.

Hilang Child’s gorgeous earlier tracks met with due acclaim, but Years is a great leap of faith for Riman. Looking back on his formative recordings as learning experiences, Riman says they taught him to trust his own talent over the lures of a “nice studio” and “fancy gear”. “I was always more excited about my home demos, recorded on a laptop, than the final recordings. I learnt that the only way I could convey the sound I wanted was by producing it myself, despite having little knowledge or ability in production.”

That sense of self-revelation rings out clearly on the opener, “I Wrote a Letter Home”, Riman’s tender voice exhaling ecstatically over warm keys and blooming synth-scapes. “Growing Things” meditates on the gap between youth and adulthood over flickering beats, celestial synths and music-box tinkles, its zero-gravity melody unfolding gracefully. “Sleepwalk” dwells on self-doubt over nagging electronics, before Riman offloads his anxieties with a cathartic promise to himself: “This darkening down inside ends tonight.” “Starlight, Tender Blue” layers booming synths and levitating voices emotively; the beautiful “Rot”, meanwhile, reflects a faith in a “better tomorrow” with a yearning serenity.

Riman’s expansive intimacies grow more immersive as the album continues. “Oh, We’re Getting Along” articulates an intent to accept growing pains in its hymnal chorales. “Endless String” and “Crow” build to gentle crescendos of glistening electronics; “Lissohr”, meanwhile, closes the album with Riman’s voice adrift in sound, floating in the spaces he’s created.

Riman’s route here began after he sidelined an early career as a drummer. Bella Union’s Simon Raymonde championed the fledgling Hilang Child (which in Malay translates as ‘missing child’) releases, before inviting Riman to contribute to Lost Horizons, the project formed by Raymonde and former Dif Juz drummer Richie Thomas. While Lost Horizons boosted Riman’s vocal confidence, his solo work evinced a talent for texture. His harmonies and spacious sounds have drawn comparisons to Fleet Foxes and Sigur Rós, but it was Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys’ Smile that first inspired Riman to do “something beautiful and unusual with vocals”. Other influences include Imogen Heap, Bat for Lashes, Steve Reich, Paul Thomas Saunders, Hundred Waters and Nobuo Uematsu: feted explorers in sound and mood all.

Collaborators on Years included Kwes, who helped on the mix and added “little touches here and there,” says Riman, “which really made it feel complete”. Sam Delves played guitar and Yazzmin Newell played trumpet; the remainder was largely self-written and self-produced, reflecting a distinct vision at work. “This is the realest, most honest representation of what I do,” Riman says, “and the first time I feel properly proud to share it.” A pride fully justified, we’d argue, by the beauty and ambition of Years.

Kyle Craft (born January 9, 1989), is an American singer-songwriter and musician based in Portland, Oregon. He released his debut album, Dolls of Highland from Sub Pop records in 2016.

AllMusic's James Christopher Monger described Craft as "a singer/songwriter with a robust, full-throated wail and knack for pairing Stones-ian hooks and Dylan-esque wordplay with glam-kissed pop swagger." Rolling Stone wrote that he sounds like "a swamp bar jukebox loaded with British glitter and Seventies Southern rock" and turns his tracks into a "poetic gumbo of Southern roots, electric folk and preening glam rock." His sound also features elements from alternative country and Americana.

Crown The Empire - "Mzry" [Metal & X-Core]

Description : Crown The Empire - MZRY (Official Music Video)

Pre-Order the new album "Sudden Sky" here:

Directed by: Marco Pavone

Offering a metalcore take on the sound of predecessors like Linkin Park, Crown the Empire fuse electronic ambience with metal catharsis, creating a moody and dramatic sound that sets the Dallas, Texas band apart from its contemporaries.

Originally featuring singers Andy Leo and David Escamilla, guitarists Brandon Hoover and Bennett Vogelman, bassist Hayden Tree, keyboard player Austin Duncan, and drummer Brent Taddle, the seven-piece band puts its massive ranks to good use, crafting a sound that's dense without being so busy that the message is lost in the noise.

Crown the Empire made their debut in 2011 with the self-released EP Limitless, followed by their first full-length effort, The Fallout, which arrived on Rise Records in 2012. The record was reissued later in 2013 with a complete re-recording of Limitless (this time with David Escamilla on vocals) while the band was touring. In January 2014,

Rise Records announced via their website and social media outlets that Crown the Empire would be recording, and The Resistance: Rise of the Runaways appeared in May. Co-produced by Joey Sturgis and Dan Korneff, it was well received by critics and fans alike. Crown the Empire headlined their own tour through the rest of the summer before taking time off.

In the fall of 2015 the band released "Prisoners of War" as a digital single. It was included as part of a deluxe reissue of the previous year's album along with "Cross Our Bones" (another new song), an acoustic take on "Millennia," and an alternate of "Machines." In November of that year, Vogelman parted ways with the band, with Hoover taking over his duties. On June 10, 2016, the band released another new single, "Zero," in anticipation of its upcoming third studio long-player, Retrograde, which dropped later that month.

Retrograde debuted atop the Billboard Hard Rock, Independent, and Rock charts, and hit number 15 on the Top 200. In January 2017, the band announced the departure of Escamilla, reducing Crown the Empire to a quartet.

Order “Motanka” now:

The previously unknown band called MOTANKA managed to completely stun and thrill a huge audience at 2018`s edition of the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle: The Ukrainian newcomers, using traditional Ukrainian instruments, deliver a wholly unique mix of metal and folk, with elements of modern electronica. The four-piece has managed to capture the trance-like magic of their live shows on their self-titled debut – what the band refers to as "Mystic Metal" leaves each and every stereotype behind and hypnotizes with heavy ethno soundscapes.

Gauche - "Flash" [Rock & Alternative]

"Flash" music video by Gauche
Added: 19-06-2019

Description : Gauche - Flash (Official Music Video)

From the album "A People's History of Gauche," out July 12th on Merge Records.

We warned you that 2019—a.k.a. Merge’s 30th year as a label, a.k.a. MRG30—was going to be full of surprises. Well, here’s one we couldn’t hold back any longer: We’ve signed Gauche, Washington D.C.’s frantic, elastic, bombastic, ecstatic, anti-capitalist, anti-racist feminist jam band.

From the desk of Gauche: “We’re really excited to be working with Merge. It is such an esteemed label, but still totally independent, and almost in our backyard. It feels really good to have the support and the freedom from Merge to make videos and record more music, which is what we love to do.” Yes, please!

The trio of Mary Jane Regalado, Daniele Yandel, and Jason P Barnett form the core of Gauche, who record and perform with a rotating cast of friends and collaborators such as Pearie Sol, Adrienne CN Berry, Don Godwin, Shawn Durham, Jhon Grewell, and Laurie Spector, to name a few. Their debut cassette Get Away with Gauche was released on Sister Polygon Records in 2015 and subsequently reissued on vinyl by Danger Records in 2017. Their music redefines the position of women, appearing as an ode to beauty and feminine energy. A manifesto in the form of mythology; each song a new myth, a new possibility for existence within alienating and consumerist society, like a new religion, Goddess Worship.
