Tonnenschwere Gitarrenriffs, der Mut zur Monotonie und ein Sound, der mit tranceartigem Gesang meistens in eine Richtung zielt: tief in die Magengrube. Für Monolord ist Hektik keine relevante Kategorie. Für ihre Reise Richtung Unendlichkeit hat die Band aus Schweden mit ihrem Doom Metal ewig Zeit.

Die Entdeckung der Langsamkeit ist für diese Band kein Thema. Weil sie das Projekt „Entschleunigung“ längst für sich perfektioniert hat. Gegründet 2013 in Göteborg, haben Monolord bei ihrer Version von Doom Metal komplett die Ruhe weg. Hektik ist keine relevante Kategorie für das schwedische Trio. Tonnenschwere Gitarrenriffs und der Mut zur Monotonie sind ihnen dagegen schon wichtig.

Wenn Monolord mit ihrem Sound in Richtung Unendlichkeit reisen, zielt der tranceartige Gesang von Thomas V. Jäger zumeist tief in die Magengrube. Und bei einem Brecher wie „Empress Rising“ zelebriert das Trio einen Spannungsbogen der ganz anderen Art. Kommt nicht allzu oft vor, passiert aber: Dass man ein Riff über 13 Minuten hört. Immer und immer wieder, over and over again. Der Doom-Adel wohnt nicht ausschließlich in Göteborg. Aber dank Monolord hat er dort eine wichtige Filiale.

A psych-blasted sludge-metal trio based in the traditionally black metal-oriented city of Gothenburg, Swedish doom rock unit Monolord was founded in 2013 around the talents of Thomas V Jäger (vocals, guitars), Esben Willems (drums), and Mika Häkki (bass). The band's 2014 debut LP, Empress Rising, was released via Riding Easy Records, drew praise from a host of online zines, and quickly rose to the top of Bandcamp's doom charts. A sophomore effort, Vaenir, arrived in 2015, and was followed by a heavy bout of touring both at home and abroad. In 2017, the band dropped their third studio long-player, Rust, again via Riding Easy.

Juliet Nicole Simms Biersack (born February 26, 1986) is an American rock singer, songwriter, poet, composer, musician, producer, and entrepreneur.

She established a fan base as the frontwoman of the band Automatic Loveletter. In 2007 - in the band's earliest years - she became friends with Kevin Lyman. This resulted in her being a returning act on the Warped Tour summer circuit. After the summer of 2011 and working the circuit solo for the first time, Simms has since produced her content as a solo artist.

On April 16, 2016 Simms married second time Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack.

Most recently Simms was featured on the seventh installment in the Fearless Records compilation series Punk Goes Pop. She and her husband, Andy Biersack, performed a duet cover of Adele's hit song When We Were Young on July 14, 2017. A music video was also released for the cover upon release of Punk Goes Pop Vol. 7. On April 27, 2018, she released her new single Take Me, which was written about the artist’s emotional hardships throughout her and her husband’s relationship. The music video was released on May 9, 2018.

Zara Maria Larsson (born 16 December 1997) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. At the age of 10, she achieved national fame in Sweden for winning the 2008 season of the talent show Talang, the Swedish version of British TV's Got Talent. Four years later, in 2012, Larsson signed with the record label TEN Music Group and released her debut EP album Introducing in January 2013. 

In January 2019, she was featured on the song "Holding Out for You" by Italian rapper, singer and songwriter Fedez. On 29 March 2019, Larsson released, "Don't Worry Bout Me" as the second single from her upcoming third studio album. "Wow" was released as the third single from the album on 26 April 2019. Larsson performed at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2019 at Stewart Park in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire. Her set included new song titled "All the Time", which she confirmed will appear on her upcoming album. The song was released as the fourth song on 21 June 2019.

A Place to Bury Strangers are a New York City-based American noise rock band, composed of Oliver Ackermann (guitar/vocals, bass), Dion Lunadon (bass guitar, guitar) and Lia Simone Braswell (drums). The band, commonly known by the initials APTBS, play a heavy, atmospheric wall of sound-influenced blend of psychedelic rock, shoegaze and space rock.

Wasting Light is the seventh studio album by American rock band Foo Fighters. It was released on April 12, 2011 on RCA Records, and is the first album to feature rhythm guitarist Pat Smear since The Colour and the Shape (1997).

Wanting to capture the essence of their earlier work and avoid the artificiality of digital recording, the Foo Fighters recorded in the garage of frontman Dave Grohl in Encino, California, using only analog equipment. The sessions were produced by Butch Vig, with whom Grohl had worked on Nirvana's Nevermind. Since the old equipment did not allow for many mistakes to be corrected in post-production, the band spent three weeks rehearsing the songs, and Vig had to relearn outdated editing techniques. The band sought a heavier and rawer sound in contrast to the experimentation of their previous albums. Most of the lyrics were written as Grohl reflected upon his life and possible future. Guest musicians include Bob Mould, Krist Novoselic, Jessy Greene, Rami Jaffe and Fee Waybill.

The title is a reference to Arlandria, the Alexandria, Virginia, neighborhood where Dave Grohl lived. The lyrics include a reference to "Rain Rain Go Away," which Dave Grohl justified by saying "there's something about the singsong cadence of children's music that has its place in rock."

Arlandria is also referenced in the song "Headwires" off their 1999 album There is Nothing Left to Lose. At the end of that song, Grohl repeats the phrase "The sun is on Arlandria".

I reached out to Cosmic Gate for a collab after they did an amazing job on remix duty for my tracks ‘This World Is Watching Me’ and ‘Rain’. The result was ‘Embargo’ – one of the three instrumental tracks on my ‘Embrace’ album – and I’m still really proud of that track. I played it a lot in the summers of 2015 and 2016, often as a mash-up with ‘Strong Ones’ (feat. Cimo Fränkel).

Darf’s ein bisschen mehr sein? Das ist eine Frage, die nicht nur an den Wursttheken dieser Welt seit eh und je Relevanz hat. Sondern auch für Arc Of Ascent in Bezug auf ihren Sound. Die Antwort des Trios aus dem neuseeländischen Hamilton auf diese Frage lautet ganz sicher: ja, unbedingt und immer.

Arc Of Ascent lassen ihren Klangkosmos gut und gerne ausfransen, kombinieren fette Gitarren mit flächigen Keyboard-Sounds und schaben mit ihren Songs gerne mal an der Zehn-Minuten-Grenze. „Mantric Stoner Psychedelic Acid Vibrations“, nennt Bassspieler Craig Williamson dieses Konzept. Und er hat auch eine konkrete Vorstellung davon, wer die Band dazu zuverlässig inspiriert. Seine Antwort: „Das Universum“.

„Through The Rays Of Infinity“ heißt einer ihrer episch langen Brecher. Arc Of Ascent legen ihre Soundwege ausufernd, breit und monumental an. Da wird gerackert, geschuftet, geschichtet, angehäuft und aufgetürmt. Wer sie dabei erfolgreich begleiten will, sollte seine Ohren dauerhaft für die Langstrecke fit machen.

Rap producer Ronny J was born Ronald J. Spencer, Jr. in New Jersey in 1992. Spencer grew up more interested in art and architecture than music, but after relocating to the Miami area for college, he began experimenting with music production and beat-making. He discovered he had a talent for it and quickly fell in with the Miami hip-hop collective C9, a group of artists led by Denzel Curry. His raw, experimental, and often lo-fi beats had their own unique essence, and his tracks soon became the backdrops for hit flows from big names in the burgeoning trap scene such as Lil Pump and XXXTENTACION. He also worked with artists such as Ski Mask the Slump God, Smokepurpp, Keith Ape, and others before signing a deal with Atlantic Records in 2017.
