London-based electronic dance producer Jonas Blue (born Guy James Robin in Essex, England) caught the attention of the industry with his reimagining of Tracy Chapman's 1988 hit "Fast Car." Adding a tropical house tint to the plaintive, bittersweet acoustic original, Blue enlisted the talents of young British singer Dakota, whose sultry vocals helped carry the song to the top of 17 international charts, including number one slots in Australia, Scotland, and both the U.K. and U.S. dance charts. In 2016 Blue released "Perfect Strangers," the follow-up to his global smash, featuring JP Cooper on vocals. The single landed in the Top Ten internationally and was followed by "By Your Side" with Raye. The following year he issued "Mama," his collaboration with Australian pop vocalist William Singe. That track would appear on Electronic Nature: The Mix 2017, a compilation of favorites from the DJ's own live sets. In addition to his own hit singles, the collection included his spins on songs by Galantis, Zedd, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, and more. In 2018, Blue released the feel-good house-pop tune "Rise," which saw him collaborating with Nebraskan Vine stars/pop duo Jack & Jack. That song and most of his previous singles were compiled into the full-length album Blue in November of that year. The non-album single, "What I Like About You" featuring Theresa Rex, was released in early 2019.

"Hang Me Out To Dry" Live in Warsaw - from the album "Contractual Obligation" - out July 26th, 2019

 Get it here:
St. Petersburg:

Vocalist Ian Gillan, together with Robert Plant, Ozzy Osbourne and a few others, is considered one of the legendary voices that shaped hard rock. Despite his commitment to Deep Purple, the singer has built an impressive solo career. “Contractual Obligation” is a collection of performances during a recent tour through Eastern Europe, which contains three shows which will be released on different formats via earMUSIC on July 26, 2019:

Contractual Obligation #1: Live In Moscow (On Blu-ray)
Contractual Obligation #2: Live In Warsaw (On 2CD & digital)
Contractual Obligation #3: Live In St. Petersburg (On 3LP)

Still fresh from the success of the studio album “NOW What?!”, and just a few months before the release of the latest and equally successful album “inFinite”, Ian Gillan accepted the offer to tour for a month in Eastern Europe with a full rock show, accompanied every night by a different local orchestra.

Gillan decided to recruit the Don Airey Band, which features the guitar talent of Simon McBride.

All shows were truly unique, with Airey and McBride delivering perfect performances night after night. Deep Purple material (including rarities like “Razzle Dazzle” or “Anya”) went hand in hand with Gillan solo songs and surprises for those into the deepest catalogue.

The title is a humorous reference to Ian Gillan’s notorious reticence to pay any attention to his own or Deep Purple live releases (as he explains in the album liner notes). This live album and video might well be one of the nicest chapters in Gillan’s solo production ever and a reminder about how great his solo music and concerts have been over the years.

Curiosity: The last Deep Purple album was named “Infinity” (which later turned into: “inFinite”) during the afternoon preceding the Warsaw show that ended up being immortalized for its CD release.

“Contractual Obligation” will be available on Blu-Ray (Contractual Obligation #1: Live In Moscow), 2CD & digital (Contractual Obligation #2: Live In Warsaw) and as a 3LP+Download (Contractual Obligation #3: Live In St. Petersburg) on July 26, 2019 on earMUSIC.

Description : Jonzun Crew - Space Cowboy (Official Music Video)

Jonzun Crew was an electro and early funk–hip hop group that was active in the 1980s. The group was led by Michael Jonzun, his brothers Maurice Starr and Soni Jonzun, and Carl (Captain Fingers).

Jonzun Crew was an electro group that carried its spin on Parliament-Funkadelic's loopy sci-fi themes of Afro-futurism throughout the 1980s and early 1990s for a handful of albums, which included singles such as “Pack Jam (Look Out for the OVC),” “Space is the Place,” “Space Cowboy,” and “We are the Jonzun Crew.” Florida-born brothers Michael, Soni, and Larry Johnson (better known as Maurice Starr) formed the Jonzun Crew in Boston in 1981, with Gordy Worthy and Steve Thorpe filling out the lineup for different stretches of the group's existence. Starr and Michael would gain further notoriety for helping to bring New Edition and New Kids on the Block to the world; Michael (who continued using Jonzun as his last name) also went solo for a brief period on A&M, in addition to working on several other artists' releases.

Young Guv (or sometimes Young Governor) is the musical alias of Toronto-based musician Ben Cook, known for his work with Canadian hardcore groups No Warning and Fucked Up. Active in the hardcore scenes since the late '90s, the prolific Cook stretched out into a number of indie styles throughout the 2000s, initially launching the Young Governor moniker around 2010 with several collaborative singles and EPs for various small labels, including his own Bad Actors imprint. The Young Governor material was generally more aligned with melodic indie pop and hooky power pop than with punk. A 2012 release under the name Young Guv & the Scuzz further developed both the sound and name, which had changed simply to Young Guv by the time of his 2015 debut LP Ripe 4 Luv.

R&B-influenced pop singer/songwriter Bazzi hit the mainstream after finding viral success with his breakthrough single "Mine." Born Andrew Bazzi to Lebanese-American parents in Dearborn, Michigan, he was a natural performer from a young age, imitating Elvis and Ricky Martin as a child and later playing oud and acoustic guitar. At the end of high school, he moved to Los Angeles with his father to pursue a music career. In addition to building an audience online, he appeared on Fancy Cars' single "Fun" in 2016. Influenced by the likes of Justin Timberlake and Bryson Tiller, he released his solo debut, "Alone," soon after. In 2017 he issued the singles "Sober," "Beautiful (feat. Camila Cabello)," and "Got Friends?," but it wasn't until "Mine" went viral with the help of an Internet meme that his audience grew. With its smooth, breezy sound, the romantic "Mine" became a streaming hit and landed Bazzi on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2018. His debut full-length, COSMIC, arrived months later. Featuring additional singles "Gone" and "Honest," the set debuted at 35 on the Billboard 200.

Pennsylvania easycore outfit Carousel Kings were formed by singer David Alexander in the city of Lancaster. Influenced by the city's metal scene but with an ear for pop melodies, Alexander and his crew melded tuneful songwriting with hardcore and pop-punk and soon signed with hometown label CI Records. After making their debut with 2010's Speak Frantic, Carousel Kings followed up with A Slice of Heaven two years later. They would deliver one more EP and a full-length third album, Unity (2014), before leaving CI and signing with Victory Records. The band's lineup shuffled frequently over the years before Alexander recruited core members Will Barovick on guitar, Cody Williams on bass, and Danny Wilkins on drums. After releasing a split Christmas EP in 2015 with Maryland's the Great Heights Band, Carousel Kings decamped to Lancaster's Atrium Audio the following year to record their next LP. Charm City, their fourth album and first for Victory, was released in early 2017. Their second album for the label, Plus Ultra, followed in 2019; it saw the band expand their sound, on both a basic songwriting level and by way of adding new musical elements, including ukulele, saxophone, and touches of electronica. Plus Ultra also featured a slew of guests, such as Spencer Charnas (Ice Nine Kills), Rory Rodriguez (Dayseeker), and their first female guest Lexxe.

The esoteric touches found in the music of Kungs can be traced back to the French producer's unlikely first instrument, a djembe given him by his parents. Born Valentin Brunel and raised in Aix-en-Provence, Kungs grew up with a rock & roll-loving father who often ventured into other genres. The young producer absorbed it all, then discovered electronic music on his own in his teen years, preferring house with its up-front vocals and luxurious melodies. He began recording and uploading his own bootleg mixes around 2014, hitting with his edits of Bob Marley's "Jammin'," Lana Del Rey's "West Coast," Serge Gainsbourg's "Bonnie & Clyde," and Coldplay's "Clocks." The official remix requests came in 2015 with the producer getting a crack at Axwell & Ingrosso's "On My Way," while his collaboration with Mozambo, "To Describe You," landed that same year and earned a spot on the Hed Kandi: Tropical House compilation. A tour of Europe as opener for David Guetta followed in 2016, along with his hit single "This Girl," which was recorded in collaboration with Australian trio Cookin' on 3 Burners. "This Girl" hit number one in France and Germany, number two in the U.K. and Austria, and number eight in Canada, and entered the Top 30 on the Billboard charts. His debut LP, Layers, arrived late that year and featured Jamie N Commons, Ephemerals, and Luke Pritchard of the Kooks. "More Less," a single featuring British singer Olly Murs and Belgian rapper Coely, was released in August 2017. Kungs followed up in summer 2018 with "Be Right Here" featuring GOLDN and Stargate.

It hit number one in six European countries and number three in six more, and his follow-up, a club-ready remix of French indie pop duo Lilly Wood & the Prick's "Prayer in C," was even more successful, going to number one in ten European countries.

One of Belgium's top drum'n'bass producers, Netsky (Boris Daenen) made his name producing deep, smoothly rolling tracks in the liquid funk style before achieving chart success in Europe and the U.K. with his increasingly pop-minded singles and full-lengths. Following a series of hotly tipped 2009 singles, he signed to London Elektricity's renowned Hospital Records and released his self-titled debut the following year. Since 2012, Netsky has toured with a full band, in addition to releasing two numerically titled albums, both of which topped the Belgian charts, and his sound has expanded to encompass dubstep, hip-hop, and electro-house.

Quintino is the musical alias of Dutch EDM/progressive house producer and DJ Quinten van den Berg, whose ecstatic club anthems have become staples of dance music festivals as well as the Dutch pop charts. Ranging from big room house to trap, his tracks are always filled with euphoric melodies and hard beats, and his highly energetic DJ sets have enraptured audiences across the world. Active as a DJ since the early 2000s, he broke through near the end of the decade with his smash hit remix of Cidinho & Doca's "Rap das Armas." This was followed by further singles such as 2011's chart-topping "Epic," one of the first big room house tracks to make a major impact, as well as collaborations with EDM heavyweights such as Afrojack, Tiësto, Hardwell, and Steve Aoki. His Go Harder EP series, initiated in 2016, focused on his heavier, more trap-influenced side.

Australian singer/songwriter Katie Dey is known for her inventive, unconventionally arranged home-recorded pop tunes. She often twists and distorts her voice into an abrasive croak, lending an extra sense of fragility to her lyrics about fear and isolation. Her full-length label debut, Flood Network, saw release in 2016.

The Melbourne-based Dey had been playing various instruments since her preteen years, and eventually she posted some of her songs on her blog. One of these songs caught the attention of Mat Cothran of Elvis Depressedly, who brought Dey's music to the attention of Warren Hildebrand (Foxes in Fiction), co-owner of Orchid Tapes. Dey had long been a fan of the label, so she jumped at the chance to work with them. She released a short album titled asdfasdf for free on her Bandcamp page in 2015, and when Orchid Tapes issued a cassette version, it sold out its first pressing in a day. She then signed to Joy Void for her second release, the full-length Flood Network, which was released in August of 2016. A collaborative album with indie electronic artist Devi McCallion called Some New Form of Life followed in late 2018 before she returned with the solo album Solipsisters in 2019.
