A sleek-toned indie pop band with a warm West Coast sound, lovelytheband broke through in 2017 with the single "Broken." The song took off online, and by the following year they had landed on top of the Billboard Alternative Songs Airplay chart.

Formed in West Hollywood in 2016, lovelytheband feature former Oh Honey member Mitchy Collins along with guitarist Jordan Greenwald and drummer Sam Price. The band debuted in July 2017 with the Christian Medice-produced "Broken," a sprightly and infectious single that quickly racked up over three million digital streams. Signing with Another Century Records, lovelytheband released their debut EP, Everything I Could, in September of that year and joined Vance Joy and AWOLNATION on tour. In April 2018, "Broken" was still going strong and hit number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs Airplay chart. That August, lovelytheband returned with their full-length debut album, Finding It Hard to Smile. Once again produced by longtime collaborator Christian Medice, the album included "Broken" as well as the single "These Are My Friends."

Florida hardcore outfit Underøath built a devoted following as a hard-hitting Christian metalcore band in the early 2000s, evolving into a dynamic rock group that adeptly blended emotive melody and charged punk rock rhythms. At their peak, they took an almost decade-long hiatus before re-emerging in 2018 free of religious labels.

Despite a brief reunion in 2015, the band would not release new material until 2018 on their eighth studio full-length, Erase Me. In addition to publicly dropping their "Christian band" label, Underøath also welcomed returning drummer/vocalist Gillespie for the album. Featuring the singles "Rapture" and "On My Teeth," Erase Me was a radical departure from past work, balancing their usual conviction and fury with polished production by Matt Squire (Panic! At the Disco, the Used).

Mixing hip-hop and R&B like Chris Brown and Fetty Wap merged into one, Rakim "PnB Rock" Allen got his moniker from Pastorius and Baynton Streets in his hometown of Philadelphia. He debuted in 2014 with the mixtape RnB, its title referencing Rock's blend of R&B and rap. The RnB2 mixtape appeared early in 2015 and caught the attention of Atlantic. The Warner-affiliated label signed Rock and released RNB3 that same year, along with his single "Jealous" featuring Fetty Wap. The two released a mixtape, Money, Hoes & Flows, in 2016. Throughout the year, Rock made a multitude of guest appearances on tracks by Kodak Black, YFN Lucci, Kevin Hart, and others. GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions, was released by Atlantic in early 2017; originally referred to as Rock's first proper album, it was later considered a mixtape. Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie all made guest appearances. The release was a success, hitting the Top 30 of the Billboard 200 album chart. That summer, he was named as one of XXL's 2017 Freshman Class before issuing the single "Time." Catch These Vibes, Rock's actual debut studio full-length, appeared in November 2017, and hit the Top 20 of the Billboard 200. The following year, he appeared on XXXTentacion's track "Smash!" and "S.W.I.N.G." with Tory Lanez and Trey Songz. Official sophomore full-length Trapstar Turnt Popstar arrived in 2019.

SiR is the recording alias of Sir Darryl Farris, an R&B singer and songwriter whose sound is predominantly mellow but soulfully impassioned, like Frank Ocean or Anderson Paak. Music runs in his family. He's the brother of Daniel and Davion Farris (who count Jaheim's "Never" among their most popular work as songwriters), the nephew of Andrew Gouché (a prominent gospel bassist who played with Prince), and the cousin of Tiffany Gouché (fellow soul progressive and one of Farris' occasional collaborators). Although Farris built up a resistance to music due to parental pressure -- his mother is Jackie Gouché, a gospel artist and session vocalist active since the early '80s -- it wore off. The Inglewood, California native earned a degree in recording arts and developed his songwriting, arranging, and production and skills. He went on to work with Anita Baker and, from 2011 through 2015, co-wrote material for the likes of Ginuwine, Tyrese, and Jill Scott. During the same period, he appeared as featured artist on a few releases that came out of L.A., including Ill Camille's Illustrated and Anderson Paak's Venice. His proper debut album, Seven Sundays, was released on Fresh Selects in 2015. Paak, Knxwledge, Chris Dave, and Iman Omari were among the contributors. The following year, after Farris was featured on Isaiah Rashad's The Sun's Tirade, he self-issued HER, a six-track EP that featured an appearance by Big K.R.I.T. He signed with Top Dawg Entertainment months later and swiftly released HER TOO with Anderson Paak on guest duties. His sophomore LP and first full-length for TDE landed in early 2018. November featured ScHoolboy Q and Etta Bond.

Cage to Rattle is the fifth studio album by American rock band Daughtry, released on July 27, 2018, through RCA Records. This is their first studio album in five years since Baptized in 2013. At just ten songs, this album is Daughtry's shortest album to date. It is also their first album with drummer Brandon Maclin. Upon its release the album received predominantly positive reviews from music critics, with some calling it the group's strongest and most mature work to date.

The Japanese House is an English indie pop act from Buckinghamshire consisting of solo artist Amber Bain. She has released four EPs; Pools to Bathe In, Clean, Swim Against the Tide, and Saw You in a Dream, through Dirty Hit. She has also released one full-length LP Good at Falling. Bain contributes vocals and plays guitar, synthesizer and keyboard for her music. Many of her tracks are produced by Bain herself and George Daniel of The 1975.

The Japanese House's debut album Good at Falling was released on 1 March 2019. Bain co-produced the album with George Daniel (of The 1975) and BJ Burton, who has worked with the likes of James Blake and Bon Iver.

Andrew Fetterly Wilkes-Krier (born May 9, 1979), better known by his stagename Andrew W.K., is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer. Raised in Michigan, Wilkes-Krier began his musical career in the mid-1990s performing in a number of local bands before eventually moving to New York, where he produced his first recordings under the Andrew W.K. moniker.

After gaining initial attention with the 2000 EP Girls Own Juice, Wilkes-Krier rose to prominence with the release of his debut studio album I Get Wet in November 2001, as well as its single "Party Hard". In the years following its release, Wilkes-Krier has also undertaken a number of other musical and non-musical ventures such as television and radio work, including a stint as host of the TV series Destroy Build Destroy, motivational speaking, and writing.

1981 Extended Play is the debut EP by American rock band I Don't Know How But They Found Me. It was released on November 9, 2018, on Fearless Records.

I Don't Know How But They Found Me is a band created by Dallon Weekes (Panic! at the Disco) and Ryan Seaman (Falling In Reverse). They performed secret shows throughout 2017 and finally released their debut single, "Modern Day Cain" on August 18, 2017. "Choke", the first song released that will appear on the EP, was released on October 26, 2017. On October 12, 2018, they announced the 1981 Extended Play and released the single "Do It All the Time" with an accompanying music video, along with a re-released version of "Choke" with updated artwork that fit the style of the EP. The third single from the EP, "Bleed Magic", was released on October 26, 2018.
