Quintino is the musical alias of Dutch EDM/progressive house producer and DJ Quinten van den Berg, whose ecstatic club anthems have become staples of dance music festivals as well as the Dutch pop charts. Ranging from big room house to trap, his tracks are always filled with euphoric melodies and hard beats, and his highly energetic DJ sets have enraptured audiences across the world. Active as a DJ since the early 2000s, he broke through near the end of the decade with his smash hit remix of Cidinho & Doca's "Rap das Armas." This was followed by further singles such as 2011's chart-topping "Epic," one of the first big room house tracks to make a major impact, as well as collaborations with EDM heavyweights such as Afrojack, Tiësto, Hardwell, and Steve Aoki. His Go Harder EP series, initiated in 2016, focused on his heavier, more trap-influenced side.

Björk - "Mutual Core" [Experimental]

Mutual Core

"Mutual Core" music video by Björk
Added: 27-09-2019
Genre : Experimental
Description : björk : mutual core

directed by andrew thomas huang

"Mutual Core" is a song recorded by Icelandic singer Björk for her eighth studio album Biophilia (2011). It was written and produced by Björk herself, while programming and beats were made in collaboration with Matthew Herbert and the English dubstep band 16bit. "Mutual Core" is an uptempo experimental song. Its music includes Pipe organ, electronica-tinged sounds and features the Choir Graduale Nobili, the choir featured on Biophilia. The song's lyrics are a metaphor for human relationships, compared to the structure of the Earth and Plate tectonics. The song was well received by contemporary music critics, who praised its production and beats, moreover appreciating Björk's voice on the track.

As with all the songs on Biophilia, an app was made for the song, which features a video game in which the player have to move geological layers as an accordion to play chords. Though the song wasn't released as a single, a music video was produced, directed by Andrew Thomas Huang. The video was critically applauded and received further attention when it got projected for one month in Times Square in 2013, and then across the 7 continents. Björk promoted the song by performing it throughout her Biophilia Tour.

Three remixes by Matthew Herbert, 16bit and These New Puritans were released as part of Biophilia Remix Series. The Matthew Herbert's and the These New Puritans remixes were later included on bastards (2012).

Milwaukee-born, Atlanta-raised rapper K Camp started performing in high school as part of a group called HBC. The group split, in part due to lack of ambition, but K Camp took his talent a little more seriously -- albeit without any plan of making a career out of it. He continued to perform and record on his own and, in 2009, released the party anthem "All Night," which gained some popularity in Atlanta. After enduring some business mishaps, including an alleged lack of recognition for his role in the making of Myko Montana's "Do It," K Camp continued to build his reputation through underground releases such as Fan4life, Show Money, and In Due Time. The last of the three featured "Money Baby," one of the best showcases for his laconic, laid-back flow to that point. It was also his first single to chart -- a number 19 hit on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks. 2 Chainz collaboration "Cut Her Off," the lead single from the Interscope-released EP In Due Time, reached number six and went platinum. Only Way Is Up, K Camp's debut album, followed in 2015 with appearances from T.I., Bun B, and Jeremih, among others. In 2016, K Camp dropped a single with 2 Chainz, "5 Minutes," as well as a mixtape, RARE. Two more mixtapes followed in 2017, K.I.S.S. 4 and SlumLords 2, as well as a single, "Good Problem." Another standalone single, "Switch," arrived in early 2019.

Australian rapper Illy defied the "haters" to make resolutely commercial, pop-influenced hip-hop that eventually snagged him a major-label deal and a number one album. Born Alasdair Murray on September 6, 1986 and brought up in the beachfront Melbourne suburb of Frankston, Illy was a teenage tearaway who barely scraped through school. He got his start in hip-hop at just 13 with the local Crooked Eye Crew, with whom he released his first "mixtape" CD. Illy held down a succession of low-paying jobs before deciding to finally knuckle down -- he applied to law school and emerged some years later with a degree. Eventually, the Crooked Eye Crew split up after each of its members became too busy with their own projects, and Illy decided to pursue a solo career. He signed to the Obese label and released his debut solo album, Long Story Short, in 2009. From the outset, his music was based on strong melodic hooks and his louche, laid-back, sing-speak flow. The album hit the urban chart but did not bother the pop chart. However, he built exposure by embarking on a nationwide tour, and his sophomore effort, The Chase, released the following year, did much better, going to number 25 on the main chart.

2012's Bring It Back was his breakthrough album, going to number 15 upon release and winning him an ARIA Award (the Australian Grammys) for best urban album. Following its release, he left Obese to set up his own label, OneTwo, and signed a licensing deal with Warner Music for the release of his fourth album, 2013's Cinematic. The album was largely produced by his former Crooked Eye crewmate M-Phazes, who had since become a big name in his own right, contributing beats to the likes of Eminem. It was more "pop" than ever before, as Illy broadened his songwriting palette, and featured collaborations with numerous guest vocalists including the Hilltop Hoods, Drapht, Daniel Merriweather, and Scarlett Stevens. The album hit number five on the chart and went gold. Illy's streak of success continued with his 2016 album Two Degrees. His most pop-oriented to date, it gave him his biggest hit yet, going to number one and producing the number two single "Papercuts," featuring Vera Blue. Produced once again by M-Phazes, it also featured Rudimental's Anne-Marie on the track "Catch 22" and was nominated for no fewer than six ARIA awards.

Ólafur Arnalds (born 3 November 1986) is an Icelandic multi-instrumentalist and producer from Mosfellsbær, Iceland. He mixes strings and piano with loops and beats, a sound ranging from ambient/electronic to atmospheric pop. He is also the former drummer for hardcore / metal bands Fighting Shit, Celestine, and others.

Ólafur's fourth official solo album, re:member, was released in August 2018. The album featured his ground-breaking new musical system called Stratus. The Stratus Pianos are two self-playing, semi-generative player pianos which are triggered by a central piano played by Arnalds. The custom-built software was born out of two years of work by the composer and audio developer, Halldor Eldjarn. As Arnalds plays a note on the piano, two different notes are generated by Stratus, creating unexpected harmonies and surprising melodic sequences.

The algorithms generated from Stratus were also used to create the album artwork. In an interview with Sound of Boston Arnalds explains that the artist, Torsten Posselt from FELD studios, used the Stratus software as a starting point and made his own software that translated the same MIDI signals used for the music. Each dot corresponds to a piano note in the title track: 88 fields correspond to 88 notes; the thicker the dot, the higher the frequency of that note being played.

American vocalist, songwriter, and producer Mike Posner merges melodic, soul-inflected pop-rap and club-friendly beats. His distinctive light rasp first emerged on both the national and world stage via his debut single "Cooler Than Me," from 2010's 31 Minutes to Takeoff. The mostly acoustic "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" from his 2016 sophomore LP was nominated for a Grammy for Song of the Year, while a dance remix by SeeB reached the Top Ten in over two dozen countries. Posner is also half the duo Mansionz with hip-hop artist Blackbear.

He returned later in 2018 with "Song About You," the lead single from his third full-length, A Real Good Kid. Issued at the start of 2019, the album also included singles "Stuck in the Middle" and "Move On." To promote the album, Posner embarked on a cross-country trek that found the musician traversing the United States by foot. Starting in New Jersey, he crossed through Pennsylvania and into the Midwest, performing impromptu concerts for fans and inviting them to join him on his journey. Along the way, he released collaborative singles "Look What I've Become" with Ty Dolla $ign and "Prince Akeem" with Wiz Khalifa. Almost four months into his walk, Posner was bitten by a rattlesnake in Colorado, which sidelined his plans while he recovered.

From the free-living enclave of Christiania in Copenhagen, Lukas Graham Forchhammer and his boys -- Mark "Lovestick" Falgren on drums, Morten "Rissi" Ristorp on keys, and Magnus "Magnum" Larsson on bass -- have crafted a combination of funky pop and R&B stylings, which made them popular in their home country of Denmark. With his soulful delivery and honest lyrics, Graham recounted tales of family strife, poor decisions, and the celebration of life, all inextricably entwined with his years spent in Christiania. The young Graham's musical influences ranged from classical -- gained during his childhood experiences with the Copenhagen Boys' Choir -- to the Beatles and the Stones, as well as the Prodigy and Dr. Dre, whose Chronic 2001 was one of the most influential albums for him. Despite a less-privileged childhood, his parents were strong role models and much of their love was reflected in heartfelt songs like "Mama Said" and "Moving Alone."

In early 2012, he released his first album, a self-titled effort that included "Drunk in the Morning," which went on to become a hit throughout Europe. Once they received more international exposure, Graham and company signed to Warner Bros. in 2013. A second self-titled album -- nicknamed the "Blue Album" -- was released in late 2015 and featured the international hit "7 Years." It went on to sit atop the Danish charts for an impressive 18 weeks and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Returning in September 2018, Lukas Graham issued the soulful single "Love Someone," which landed on the group's aptly titled third set, 3. Produced by Rissi and Pilo, the "Purple Album" found the group processing its post-breakthrough fame with tracks that mirrored the sounds of Keane, the Script, Ed Sheeran, and Maroon 5.

"The Ties That Bind" is a song written and performed by Bruce Springsteen. It is the opening song on his fifth album, The River. It was recorded at The Power Station in New York in May or June 1979. It was one of the earlier songs Springsteen wrote for The River, as it was written on the road during his 1978 tour. The song was also often performed during the latter part of that tour.

"The Ties That Bind" was originally intended to be released as the title track of a single album that was to be released in 1979. This proposed album was eventually scrapped and expanded to become the double album The River. The contents of that album was released on December 4, 2015 as part of The Ties That Bind: The River Collection, the fifth disc of which contains the 60- minute documentary, The Ties That Bind by Thom Zimny and features an interview with Springsteen on writing and recording of The River. The film illustrates the music with solo acoustic guitar performances, period concert footage, and photos of Bruce and the band.
