Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15, was written in 1795, then revised in 1800. The first performance took place on 18 December 1795 in Vienna with Beethoven himself as soloist. It was first published in 1801 in Vienna with dedication to his pupil Princess Anna Louise Barbara Odescalchi (née Countess von Keglevic), known to her friends as "Babette".

Although this was Beethoven's first piano concerto to be published, it was actually his third attempt at the genre, following an unpublished piano concerto in E-flat major of 1784 (not to be confused with Beethoven's more famous "Emperor" concerto, also in E-flat) and the Piano Concerto No. 2. The latter was published in 1801 in Leipzig after the Piano Concerto No. 1, but was composed over a period of years, perhaps beginning ca. 1788. Its first performance took place on 29 March 1795, several months before the concerto now referred to customarily as "No. 1".

Franz Schubert's Impromptus are a series of eight pieces for solo piano composed in 1827. They were published in two sets of four impromptus each: the first two pieces in the first set were published in the composer's lifetime as Op. 90; the second set was published posthumously as Op. 142 in 1839 (with a dedication added by the publisher to Franz Liszt). The third and fourth pieces in the first set were published in 1857 (although the third piece was printed by the publisher in G major, instead of Gb as Schubert had written it, and remained available only in this key for many years). The two sets are now catalogued as D. 899 and D. 935 respectively. They are considered to be among the most important examples of this popular early 19th-century genre.

Three other unnamed piano compositions (D. 946), written in May 1828, a few months before the composer's death, are known as both "Impromptus" and Klavierstücke ("piano pieces").

The Impromptus are often considered companion pieces to the Six moments musicaux, and they are often recorded and published together.

It has been said that Schubert was deeply influenced in writing these pieces by the Impromptus, Op. 7 (1822) of Jan Vaclav Vorisek and by the music of Vorisek's teacher Vaclav Tomasek.

The Symphony No. 8 in G major, Op. 88, B. 163, is a symphony by Antonín Dvorak, composed in 1889 at Vysoka u Pribrame, Bohemia, on the occasion of his election to the Bohemian Academy of Science, Literature and Arts. Dvorák conducted the premiere in Prague on 2 February 1890. In contrast to other symphonies of both the composer and the period, the music is cheerful and optimistic. It was originally published as Symphony No. 4.

New Jersey native Pete Yorn took a rather unique route to singer/songwriter acclaim, gaining his first big break by providing the score to a Farrelly Brothers film. Having graduated from Syracuse University several years prior, the 26-year-old pulled up stakes in 2000 and relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he began writing music for film and television. Prospects increased when Yorn was recruited to score Me, Myself, & Irene, a Farrelly Brothers movie starring Jim Carrey. One of his own pop/rock numbers, "Strange Condition," appeared on the film's soundtrack and was subsequently released as a single, where it fared well on the modern rock charts and increased public demand for Yorn's songwriting.

He signed to Capitol in 2015 and reunited with R. Walt Vincent -- the producer of Musicforthemorningafter -- for 2016's Arranging Time. Working once again with Johansson, Yorn issued the 2018 EP Apart, a sequel to the duo's 2009 collaboration, Break Up. Another duet appeared later that year, this time between Yorn and Liz Phair on a cover of Pixies' 1989 classic "Here Comes Your Man."

Yungblud is the hip-hop-influenced rock outfit created by musician Dominic Harrison. Born in Yorkshire, England, the singer/songwriter was raised in a musical family. His father was a vintage guitar dealer and his grandfather played with T. Rex. Influenced by Bob Dylan, the Clash, and the Beatles, he played guitar and sang from a young age. In 2017, when he was 19, he issued his debut single, "King Charles," a genre-blending protest song that fell somewhere between early Arctic Monkeys, Jamie T, and Rat Boy. He followed with the song "I Love You, Will You Marry Me," which incorporated some dub and grime elements. A major-label deal with Geffen yielded Yungblud's first collection, an eponymous 2018 EP that included his first two singles alongside three new tracks. His debut full-length, 21st Century Liability, appeared in May of that year and made a solid chart showing in Australia and Belgium. Yungblud returned in the early part of 2019 with "Loner" and "11 Minutes," the latter of which was a collaboration with Halsey and Travis Barker.

In September 2016, Waylon Reavis announced on Facebook, then via press release, that his new project A Killer's Confession had signed a deal with EMP Label Group who would release their debut album Unbroken in Spring 2017. The album was partially recorded and mixed at Kentucky's Third Sky Studio with Reavis, and Co-Producers Thom Hazaert, Richard Easterling, Jon Dale, and Matt Trumpy. On Halloween 2016 AKC released their debut single "A Killer's Confession", featuring a guest performance by Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. The band, including guitarists Matt Trumpy and Paul Elliott, and drummer Jon Dale, played their first shows in December 2016, with Dead By Wednesday, culminating in a hometown show at the Cleveland Agora on December 17.

An indie trio from Sydney, Australia and throwback to the Manchester scene of the early '90s, DMA's formed in 2012 when Johnny Took and Tommy O'Dell -- members of the local rock band Underlights -- started writing songs with guitarist Matt Mason. Working together as three songwriters, the trio quickly developed a sound that drew from early-'90s Mancunian indie rock, with particular likenesses to some of the scene's greats like Oasis, Primal Scream, and Happy Mondays. DMA's quickly signed to the tiny label I Oh You on the strength of their home-recorded demos, and before long their debut single, "Delete," climbed the charts and garnered praise from the press, musical peers, and a growing fan base. Their self-titled debut EP surfaced in the summer of 2014, and in early 2016 they dropped their debut full-length, Hills End. Late 2017 and early 2018 saw the release of the singles "Dawning," "In the Air," and "For Now" ahead of the arrival of their sophomore full-length effort, also titled For Now, later that April. 2019 saw the release of their first live album, MTV Unplugged Live, which captured one of the group's sets at the Melbourne Memo Music Hall in 2018.

Kentrell DeSean Gaulden (born October 20, 1999), known professionally as YoungBoy Never Broke Again (also known as NBA YoungBoy or simply YoungBoy), is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Between 2015 and 2017, Gaulden would release eight independent mixtapes locally and online, and steadily garner a cult following through his work. In late 2017, Gaulden was signed to Atlantic Records, who would distribute two additional mixtapes before releasing his highest charting single, "Outside Today" in January 2018–which peaked at number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was the lead single for his debut studio album Until Death Call My Name, released in April of that year. His follow up singles include "Valuable Pain", "Slime Belief" and "Genie".

On October 10, 2019, YoungBoy released his mixtape AI Youngboy 2, marking his first full length project since 2018's Realer. The mixtape is a sequel to his 2017 breakout AI Youngboy and features 18 songs, including the previously released song "Slime Mentality".

The band, consisting of Jack Chatfield (guitar/vocals), Sid Ryan (bass/vocals), and Jacob Hull (drums) formed in 2013 when they were 15, originally playing covers of the Stranglers and the Jam in local pubs. They eventually graduated to writing original material and signed to Contra Records. It took them a while to write and record their debut album, Mainstream View, which appeared in 2016, but they quickly followed their initial release with 2017's Break the Routine. After two albums, they toured steadily, meeting and befriending Lars Fredriksen (Rancid) along the way. He appreciated their sound enough to put them in touch with bandmate Tim Armstrong, who signed them to Hellcat Records and produced their third album, 2019's Graveyard Island.

Growing up in a small southern town, rapper JayDaYoungan rose to fame on sheer talent alone, gaining the attention of millions of fans through his viral videos and uniquely delivered tracks. Early songs followed in the footsteps of influential Southern rappers who came before him, but as he continued to release music prolifically, his style diversified somewhat, as with the R&B-tinged 2018 single "Interstate" and more melodic tracks on mixtapes like Forever 23.

JayDaYoungan was born Javarious Scott in 1998 in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Growing up surrounded by the influence of Louisiana hip-hop legends like Lil Wayne, Kevin Gates, and Lil Boosie, JayDaYoungan got into music at an early age and released his first mixtape, Ruffwayy, in early 2017 when he was 18. He quickly garnered buzz for stand-out songs like "Spinning" and "Taking Off" and gained an enormous social media following in the span of a few months. A quick succession of mixtapes followed, with The Real Jumpman23 arriving in 2017 and Wake Up and Taking Off following the next year. Never slowing down, JayDaYoungan released the somewhat R&B-tinged single "Interstate" in February of 2018; the song and accompanying video quickly racked up millions of views and streams online. 2018 would be a huge year for Jay, who released two more mixtapes before year's end, 23 and the Billboard-charting Forever 23. Forever 23 spawned the single "Thot Thot," which was among his most popular to date, racking up millions of streams and video views. Along with this constant output of new music of his own, he also collaborated on tracks with peers like Youngeen Ace, Glitchman, and FG Famous, among many others. Before the year was over, he released the single "No Play Zone" in late December. His next mixtape, Endless Pain, saw release in the spring of 2019. The mixtape debuted even higher in the charts than Forever 23 and yielded several more viral singles.

Olubowale Victor Akintimehin (born September 21, 1984), better known by his stage name Wale, is a Nigerian-American rapper. He first rose to prominence in 2006, when his song "Dig Dug (Shake It)" became popular in his hometown. Wale became locally recognized and continued recording music for the regional audience. Producer Mark Ronson discovered Wale in 2006 and signed him to Allido Records in 2007. His second studio album, Ambition was released November 1, 2011, with mixed reviews. His third studio album, The Gifted, was released on June 25, 2013, to mainly positive reviews; it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. His second Billboard number one album The Album About Nothing was released on March 31, 2015.

In 2018, Wale released three E.P.s titled It's Complicated, Self-Promotion and Free Lunch.

Able to effortlessly transition from a verse filled with hardcore rap to a hooky pop chorus, rapper/singer Becky G worked alongside artists like Cody Simpson and Ke$ha before breaking out with a solo career.

Born and raised in Inglewood, California, Rebbeca Marie Gomez became Becky G in 2011 when she uploaded cover versions of Kanye West and Jay-Z's "Otis" and Frank Ocean's "Novacane" to video-sharing services. The year 2012 saw her release the mixtape @itsbeckygomez and join Cody Simpson on his single "Wish U Were Here." By the end of the year, she'd appeared on the remix of Ke$ha's single "Die Young," while her own single, "Becky from the Block," landed in 2013 alongside her EP Play It Again. Her 2014 single "Shower" cracked the Top 20 in the U.S., while 2015 saw her premiere the Dr. Luke-produced track "Lovin' So Hard" at the Radio Disney Awards.

In 2017, Becky G's career got a boost when she appeared in the feature film Power Rangers playing Trini, the yellow Power Ranger. In July of that year, she scored a major Latin chart hit with "Mayores," a collaboration with Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. She returned to English in July 2018 with "Zooted," featuring French Montana and Farruko. She was also featured on on Kane Brown's song "Lost in the Middle of Nowhere." More tracks followed in 2019 including "LBD," "Green Light," and "Banana" with Anitta. G also paired with Maluma for the song "La Respuesta."

Description : Nashville-based duo Brothers Osborne make earthy, passionate country-rock. Raised in Deale, Maryland, siblings John and T.J. Osborne grew up listening to their father's country and rock records. Encouraged to write and play their own music, the brothers began to practice in a shed behind their house. By their teens they had formed the cover band Deuce & a Quarter, playing songs by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Merle Haggard, Bob Seger, and others in local bars. John eventually moved to Nashville, followed two years later by T.J., and Brothers Osborne were born. In 2011, the brothers signed a publishing deal with Warner-Chappell/King Pen Music, and a year later they signed a record deal with Capitol. The duo's debut single, "Let's Go There," appeared in 2013, followed by the single "Rum" in 2014. A year later, they released a re-recorded version of their EP track "Stay a Little Longer." Produced by Jay Joyce (Emmylou Harris, Keith Urban, Faith Hill), the single eventually peaked at number four on Billboard's country chart and eventually went platinum. In 2016, Brothers Osborne released their debut full-length album, the Joyce-produced Pawn Shop. The album included both "Stay a Little Longer" and "Rum," as well as subsequent charting singles "21 Summer" and "It Ain't My Fault." Industry recognition followed quickly; the brothers took home Vocal Duo of the Year at both the CMA and ACM awards. January 2018 saw the release of the whiskey-soaked single "Shoot Me Straight."

Coming into the spotlight at the tender age of 18, Florida rapper/R&B vocalist YK Osiris was quickly discovered by the higher ranks of the music industry after self-releasing just a few of his songs online. After quickly signing a deal with Def Jam on the strength of his 2018 single "Valentine," the young artist plotted out the next steps of his career, the first of which was working hard on a debut album.

Osiris Williams was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1998. Growing up with a passion for old-school soul, classic R&B, and modern pop and rap sounds, he started making music of his own at a young age. He first uploaded songs under the name Osiris, posting his single "Fake Love" in 2017 before taking on the YK Osiris moniker for future productions. "I'm Next (Freestyle)" was released in January of 2018, quickly going viral and collecting millions of streams. The buzz around the young rapper began to draw attention from the record industry and this interest was stoked even more by the release of his next single "Valentine" two months later. "Valentine" was an even bigger hit, amassing over nine million streams within several weeks of its release. A remix version of the song featuring a cameo from Li'l Uzi Vert appeared shortly thereafter, and YK Osiris fielded offers from various labels, eventually signing with Def Jam. His single "Timing" was released in July of 2018, followed by "Run It Up" and the Big40 collaboration "Ride 4 Me." In early 2019, he entered the Billboard Hot 100 with "Worth It."

While in prison on robbery charges, New York rapper Lil Tjay found the motivation to get through his sentence by writing lyrics. Upon his release in 2017, Tjay, still just a teenager, began recording his songs and posting them online. Almost overnight, several tracks took off and were being streamed in the millions, gaining the rapper massive attention for his often-downcast songs that combined vocal hooks and rhymes about hardship written while he was in jail.

Bronx rapper Lil Tjay's first tracks showed up online at the very end of 2017. "Resume" was his first completely solo song and it went viral quickly, ultimately being streamed over 14 million times in a little over a year. He followed with multiple one-off tracks over the course of 2018, with many of them selling/streaming by the millions. Self-released tracks like "Brothers," "Goat," "None of Your Love," and "Leaked" all gained serious traction and quickly drew the attention of major labels hoping to sign the rapper. He inked a deal with Columbia, and the label released the five-song EP No Comparison at the tail end of 2018. A second EP, F.N, arrived in August 2019 and included the singles "Ruthless" featuring Jay Critch and "Laneswitch."
