Squirrel Flower is the alias 22-year-old Ella Williams adopted for herself when writing songs AND POETRY as a child. Coming from a professional musical family spanning generations,? Williams has always been surrounded by music. By 14 she started writing more seriously and released her first EP of folk music under her own name. After immersing herself in the DIY scene of her Boston hometown before moving to Iowa to study Art + Gender, Women’s, & Sexuality Studies at Grinnell COLLEGE, she found a more experimental sound, linking her choral roots, classical harmony and ethereal chord structures, and released her first EP as Squirrel Flower, "EARLY WINTER SONGS FROM MIDDLE AMERICA." HER SECOND EP, Contact Sports, is a perfectly formed collection of songs about relationships; intimacy, dependency, betrayal and GEOGRAPHY, set to the backdrop of the American Midwest. The songs represent push and pull of love and intimacy WHILE ALSO BEING meditations on place. From the fulsome guitar and visceral, cathartic breakdown of lead single ‘Conditions’ to the carefully layered beauty of ‘Hands Melt’, this varied collection frequently impresses with its maturity and craftsmanship. Tracks like the fuzzy, dimly-lit euphoria of ‘Daylight Savings’ are spellbinding in their turn of phrase as Williams sings “I know we’ve gained an hour, but I feel like we’ve lost two”.

H.P. Lovecraft has often been a source of inspiration to musicians, but French black metallers the Great Old Ones have used his literary works as inspiration on all of their recorded work, from 2012's Al Azif to 2019's philosophical Cosmicism.

Formed in 2009 in Bordeaux by Benjamin Guerry, the group started as a solo project, with Guerry writing Lovecraft-inspired music and lyrics after falling in love with his writing as a teenager. Two years later, Guerry formed a full band, taking on guitar and vocal duties, backed by Jeff Grimal and Xavier Godart on guitars, Sébastien Lalanne on bass, and Léo Isnard on drums. The group delivered their first album, Al Azif, in 2012, inspired by a handful Lovecraft stories, including The Call of Cthulhu and The Music of Erich Zann. Released on the underground French Les Acteurs de l'Ombre, the label also released their sophomore effort two years later. 2014's Tekeli-Li -- inspired by the book At the Mountains of Madness -- once again saw them pushing their sound deeper into atmospheric black metal. With their Lovecraft-ian metal gaining new audiences, the group inked a deal with large independent French metal label Season of Mist in 2016, and that same year saw them parting ways with Lalanne and Godart. Their third album, EOD: A Tale of Dark Legacy -- which utilized Lovecraft's fictional town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts as its basis -- appeared at the beginning of 2017. The refreshed line-up, which now featured Aurélien Edouard on guitar and Jérôme Charbonnier on bass, headed out on a European tour in support of the release, alongside dates with Gaahls Wyrd and Audn. The following year, Grimal and Charbonnier left the band, with Guerry and co. bringing in Benoit Claus on bass and Alexandre Rouleau on guitar for more live dates. 2019 saw the reinvigorated quintet head back into the studio to record their fourth album. Using Lovecraft's philosophy of Cosmicism -- where humans are insignificant in the grand scheme of the cosmos -- as inspiration, Cosmicism was issued by Season of Mist toward the end of the year, preceded by the monolithic single "The Omniscient."

After his X Factor success, Arthur worked alongside singer/songwriter Labrinth and Graham Stack (JLS, Take That, Westlife) in preparation for his debut album. He put out the eponymous release later that year; the album featured "Impossible" and "Roses" (with Emeli Sandé), as well as follow-up singles "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You," "Recovery," and "Get Down." Arthur departed from Syco Music the following year and briefly returned to the scene with an independent release, the rap mixtape All the World's a Stage. The singer/songwriter made a return in 2016, signing a record deal with Columbia and issuing his second full-length effort, Back from the Edge. The stripped-down and reflective record was led by the singles "Say You Won't Let Go" and "Remember Who I Was." The next year, he was featured on Rudimental's "Sun Comes Up" and issued his own solo single, "Naked." Arthur released a string of singles in 2018, including "Rewrite the Stars," a duet with Anne-Marie that was featured on The Greatest Showman: Reimagined. 2019 brought the solo single "Falling Like the Stars," along with the Ty Dolla $ign collaboration "Treehouse," which also featured Shotty Horroh. Both singles landed on YOU, the singer/songwriter's outward-facing third album, which was released in October that year.

DMA’S live:

An indie trio from Sydney, Australia and throwback to the Manchester scene of the early '90s, DMA's formed in 2012 when Johnny Took and Tommy O'Dell -- members of the local rock band Underlights -- started writing songs with guitarist Matt Mason. Working together as three songwriters, the trio quickly developed a sound that drew from early-'90s Mancunian indie rock, with particular likenesses to some of the scene's greats like Oasis, Primal Scream, and Happy Mondays. DMA's quickly signed to the tiny label I Oh You on the strength of their home-recorded demos, and before long their debut single, "Delete," climbed the charts and garnered praise from the press, musical peers, and a growing fan base. Their self-titled debut EP surfaced in the summer of 2014, and in early 2016 they dropped their debut full-length, Hills End. Late 2017 and early 2018 saw the release of the singles "Dawning," "In the Air," and "For Now" ahead of the arrival of their sophomore full-length effort, also titled For Now, later that April. 2019 saw the release of their first live album, MTV Unplugged Live, which captured one of the group's sets at the Melbourne Memo Music Hall in 2018.

Growing up in turmoil and poverty, rapper Skinnyfromthe9 turned to making bright and carefree-sounding music as an escape from his dark early days. Born David Villegas in 1995, he moved between his birthplace of Florida and New Jersey as his large family went through various troubles with money and the law, sometimes struggling with homelessness. In his late teens, he landed in Somerville, New Jersey to live with his father, working hard at service industry jobs and making original songs in his free time as an escape. In time, his musical tastes expanded, inspired in particular by the new and fascinating sound of Fetty Wap. He combined this new inspiration with his childhood fixation on Eminem and began posting his own tracks online around 2014. Slowly interest grew, with standout track "Love Blast" dropping in 2017 and quickly racking up streams. He rode this wave of momentum into the next year with singles like "Back When I Was Broke" and "Pink Choppas," whose lyrics often referenced his tough times growing up.

In February 2019, Tinashe's manager announced she had parted ways with her label RCA, citing: "We initiated for her to be released. It was a positive split for her. It's giving her back creative control." After her departure, Hot New HipHop published a report believing she was in the midst of being courted by multiple major labels.

Tinashe announced in October 2019 that her next project would be called Songs For You, to be released independently at some future date.

Description : Joell Ortiz - Anxiety (Official Video)

Mental Health awareness is more than just a hashtag or a month of the year dedicated to its cause. It’s an everyday issue. Millions of us struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD and many other forms of mental illness. I just want everyone to know that they should never feel ashamed or be afraid to ask for help. You’re not weak or crazy or a failure. You’re human. And humans aren’t perfect. We’re flawed and delicate. Speak to a therapist. Talk to a friend. Exercise. Diet. Meditate. Do whatever it takes. You’re worth it. Who knows... Your story may help someone else. Like me.  - Joell Ortiz

A singer/songwriter, film composer, and pianist based in Montreal, Canada, Patrick Watson makes explorative chamber pop with his band -- also called Patrick Watson -- often blending spare indie pop, synthesizer experiments, cinematic orchestral song, and a melancholy tone. The group's second album, 2006's Close to Paradise, won the Polaris Prize. After composing music for several short films, Watson made his feature-length debut with It's Not Me, I Swear! in 2008. Released in 2015, Love Songs for Robots became his band's fourth straight album to reach Canada's Top Ten.

In the meantime, Watson continued to compose music for shorts, documentaries, and theatrical features. His score for the 2016 thriller The 9th Life of Louis Drax saw release by Varèse Sarabande that September. In 2017, he returned with the stand-alone single "Broken," which found its way onto several TV series, including Grey's Anatomy and The Good Doctor. He also contributed to Tower of Songs, a tribute concert to Leonard Cohen in Montreal that also included Elvis Costello, Philip Glass, and Lana Del Rey, among others. In mid-2018, he issued another single, "Melody Noir," before following up with the French song "Mélancholie" featuring Quebecois singer Safia Nolin. It was issued by Secret City Records in conjunction with the start of a European tour. In 2019 Watson issued the inward-looking studio LP -- his sixth full-length effort -- Wave.

Genre : Dance, Album Streams
Description : Louis Rogé, better known by his stage name Brodinski, is a French DJ and musician.

Brodinski was born in Reims, France.

He founded the label Bromance with his manager Manu Barron. The label's debut release was Brodinski's collaboration with fellow French producer Gesaffelstein, which provided an opportunity for Brodinski to work with Kanye West for his album, Yeezus. Brodinski produced two songs—"Send it up" and "Black Skinhead"—from the album, which inspired him to work in hip hop music. He began collaborating with artists such as Danny Brown, Suicideyear and Kaytranada. Brodinski collaborated with Theophilius London on the latter's 2014 studio album Vibes, in which he was credited on three songs. He has also released a song with London via the Bromance label, titled "Gimme Back The Night".

His debut studio album, Brava, was released in 2015 via Warner Music France. Spending much of 2016 in Atlanta, Brodinski worked with hip hop recording artists such as 21 Savage to release the mixtape Sour Patch Kid, following by another mixtape released in November that year, Young Slime Season.

In 2018, Brodinski worked with Atlanta rapper Hoodrich Pablo Juan to release a collaborative project titled The Matrix, which is an extended play consisting of seven songs.
