"Tongue Tied" is a song by American DJ and producer Marshmello, English singer-songwriter Yungblud and American rapper and singer Blackbear, released on November 13, 2019.

This collaboration between Marshmello and Blackbear was first hinted in 2017. On July 8, Marshmello revealed for the first time his project, posting the following message on his social media: "Secrets out... marshmello x @iamblackbear coming soon", accompanied by a photo of the rapper wearing the DJ's helmet. He recalled his future collaboration on July 22, 2017, simultaneously he led rumours about upcoming songs with Selena Gomez and Khalid. At the same moment, he said via Twitter: "Marshmello and @iamblackbear ...new music coming". He later added, "All this new music is coming...so many amazing songs with so many amazing people". On September 20, 2017, he announced that the song will be named "Paparazzi". On January 15, 2018, responding to a fan who grew impatient, Marshmello tweeted: "It's coming... patience". Then, during an interview for Capital on October 31, 2019, Blackbear officially revealed the collaboration, with a third artist on the track, Yungblud. However, he did not precise a release date for the track, just unveiling that it will be released before the end of 2019. On November 9, 2019, Marshmello announced the release date and the title of the song via his social media, accompanied by a teaser and a link to a website made available for pre-save on iTunes and Spotify.

The official music video of the song was premiered on the same day through Marshmello's YouTube channel. It was shot in Bulgaria and directed by Andrew Sandler, who previously worked for the video of Yungblud song "Hope for the Underrated Youth". It features extracts from TV series The Act in which American actress Joey King plays. A few days prior the release, the singer posted multiple teasers of the clip, unveiling her presence. During a press release, he deemed the video "a call out to take mental health seriously".

"Crash into Me" is a song by American rock group Dave Matthews Band. It was released in December 1996 as the third single from their second album, Crash. It reached number 7 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in March 1997. The song was nominated for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals at the 1998 Grammy Awards.

In July 2019, Darren Criss and Steve Aoki released an EDM-style cover of "Crash Into Me." Darren Criss unveiled the song during a class at a gym in Los Angeles. He was excited to be able to work with an EDM pro like Aoki, having said in an interview with Billboard: "...before I had any access to Steve whatsoever, I was always like, 'Man, how the fuck would I pull this off?' So to be able to meet somebody of his pedigree who's exactly the kind of person who would be able to midwife this, it was great." The song was released on July 12, 2019, and peaked at number 12 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart at Billboard.

While still working with a hard-edged production and powerful delivery, rapper Quando Rondo opted for a more emotionally nuanced lyrical approach and R&B undercurrents that set him apart from the vast majority of his peers. Even when flowing over-stylized trap beats, his songs were intelligent and complex while still incorporating enough melodic elements to keep them pop friendly. Quando Rondo's rise was massive and quick, perhaps best exemplified by the titles of his inspired mixtapes Life B4 Fame, released in April 2018, and Life After Fame, released just five months later.

Born Tyquian Terrel Bowman in 1999, the rapper grew up in Savannah, Georgia; he was interested in music at a young age. He adapted his stage name from his nickname, Ty-Quando, adding "Rondo" at the end because he liked the sound of it. His earliest songs arrived in early 2018, including the wistfully nostalgic single "I Remember," which featured a cameo from Lil Baby, and "Motivation," which found Quando's earnest lyrics coasting over a melancholic piano loop. In the spring of 2018, the powerful Life B4 Fame mixtape was released, showcasing Quando's introspective style and including features from OMB Peezy, Tec, and Lil Durk. The mixtape was an immediate success -- it was streamed millions of times in its first few days alone.

With new listeners and fans showing up in droves, Quando didn't slow down for a second, quickly offering a follow-up mixtape, Life After Fame, in September 2018. The project found the young rapper grappling with his newfound success in almost every song, and cameos featured Rich Homie Quan, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Boosie Badazz, and others. In May 2019, Quando released the mixtape From the Neighborhood to the Stage, featuring the tracks "Scarred from Love" and "Imperfect Flower." With guests including NoCap, Polo G, BlocBoy JB, and Shy Glizzy, the mixtape earned Quando his debut on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart, at number 39.

"It's My Life" is song by American rock band Bon Jovi. It was released on May 23, 2000 as the lead single from their seventh studio album, Crush (2000). The song was written and produced by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, and Max Martin, and co-produced by Luke Ebbin.

The song peaked at number one in Austria, Flemish Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Switzerland while charting within the top 10 across several other countries and peaking at number 33 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Though the band had moved away from the glam-oriented sound with 1992's Keep the Faith, it has the distinction of making Bon Jovi one of the only bands once classified as 1980s glam metal to reach the top 40 in the 2000s, a testament to how the song managed to introduce the band to a new, younger fanbase. Florida-based rapper YNW Melly makes raw, emotive rap songs about his turbulent life experiences. After he began releasing tracks during the mid-2010s, he broke through with his debut full-length, I Am You, in 2018.

Coming from the often-dangerous streets of Gifford, Florida, the rapper began his career at a young age. Born Jamell Demons in 1999, he began uploading original songs to SoundCloud when he was just 15, cultivating a style that laced together melodically sung vocals with raw raps about violence, crime, sex, money, and the challenging environment the teen was growing up in. Demons was living the life he portrayed in his music, eventually being incarcerated for a stretch in 2017 on weapons charges for a shooting he was involved with at age 16. Once released from jail, he became more active than ever, dropping multiple singles, videos, and other projects, including tracks like "Murder on My Mind," "Catching Feelings," and the Collect Call EP. Collect Call boasted features from many better-known artists, including Lil B and John Wicks. In 2018, Melly was constantly active, dropping singles "Melly the Menace," "Virtual," and "Slang That Iron" one after another before releasing the full-length I Am You. He also made a guest appearance on the late 2018 hit "Just Woke Up" by Supreme Patty. In early 2019, Melly released We All Shine, with Kanye West making a guest appearance on the song "Mixed Personalities." In August of that year, he charted with the non-album single, "223's," which featured 9lokkNine.

L'Orange is a North Carolina-born beatmaker with a penchant for sampling early jazz records and vintage radio broadcasts, lending a nostalgic, time-worn quality to his music. He started making music during the mid-2000s; after a stint as a recording engineer, he began releasing his own recordings in early 2011, starting with The Manipulation EP. Later in the year, he released Old Soul, an album that heavily sampled the music of Billie Holiday, whom L'Orange describes as his muse. The Still Spinning EP and the full-length The Mad Writer followed in 2012. In 2013, L'Orange began a long, fruitful partnership with the Mello Music Group label, beginning with The City Under the City, in collaboration with Stick Figa. The first L'Orange album to feature rapping, it also included appearances from Open Mike Eagle and yU. L'Orange's next full-length, The Orchid Days, arrived in 2014. The album featured guest vocalists including Homeboy Sandman, Blu, and Jeremiah Jae. During the year, the producer also released singles featuring Mr. Lif, John Robinson, and Boog Brown. He then collaborated with Jae on a full-length, The Night Took Us in Like Family, which was released by Mello Music Group in April of 2015. A few months later, the label issued Time? Astonishing!, L'Orange's collaboration with legendary hip-hop eccentric Kool Keith. In 2016, L'Orange and Mr. Lif collaborated on a full-length titled The Life & Death of Scenery, which was released in October. A year later, L'Orange released The Ordinary Man, a solo album that featured guest appearances from Del the Funky Homosapien, Oddisee, Blu, and others.

"Born to Run" is a song by American singer songwriter Bruce Springsteen, and the title song of his album Born to Run. Upon its release, music critic Robert Christgau took note of its wall of sound influence and called it "the fulfillment of everything 'Be My Baby' was about and lots more."

The song ranked number 21 on the Rolling Stone list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and is included in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.

In late 1973, on the road in Tennessee, Springsteen awoke with the title "Born to Run", which he wrote down. According to Springsteen, this was the first spark of the later song.

Written in the first person, the song is a love letter to a girl named Wendy, for whom the hot rod-riding protagonist seems to possess the passion to love, just not the patience. However, Springsteen has noted that it has a much simpler core: getting out of Freehold. Route 9 is mentioned from the lyric "sprung from cages out on Highway 9".

In his 1996 book Songs, Springsteen relates that while the beginning of the song was written on guitar around the opening riff, the song's writing was finished on piano, the instrument that most of the Born to Run album was composed on. The song was recorded in the key of E major.

In the period prior to the release of Born to Run Springsteen was becoming well-known (especially in his native northeast) for his epic live shows. "Born to Run" joined his concert repertoire well before the release of the album, being performed in concert by May 1974, if not earlier.

The first recording of the song was made by Allan Clarke of the British group the Hollies, although its release was delayed, only appearing after Springsteen's own now-famous version.

In recording the song Springsteen first earned his noted reputation for perfectionism, laying down as many as eleven guitar tracks to get the sound just right. The recording process and alternate ideas for the song's arrangement are described in the Wings For Wheels documentary DVD included in the 2005 reissue Born to Run 30th Anniversary Edition package.

Norwegian black metal band Enslaved were formed in 1991 by guitarist/keyboardist Ivar Bjørnson and bassist Grutle Kjellson; a demo titled Yggdrstll followed a year later. The group's official albums during the '90s included 1994's Frost, 1997's Eld, and 1999's Blodhemn. In fall 2000, the band issued Mardraum, and continued over the following years with the full-lengths Monumension (2001), Below the Lights (2003), Isa (2004), Ruun (2006), Vertebrae (2008), Axioma Ethica Odini (2010), and RIITIIR (2012). There have been several personnel shifts, but the lineup has been consistent since 2004. As of 2012, Enslaved's membership has included original members Bjørnson and Kjellson along with guitarist Arve Isdal (aka Ice Dale), drummer Cato Bekkevold, and keyboardist/vocalist Herbrand Larsen. Issued by Nuclear Blast, the band's 13th album, In Times, was co-produced by the band and Iver Sandøy; it was mixed in Sweden by Jens Bogren and released globally in March of 2015. A year later, the band issued The Sleeping Gods: Thorn, a compilation of rare and experimental tracks that were released in 2011 as separate EPs. In 2017, Enslaved released Roadburn Live, their first concert album.

Nov. 6, 2019 | Sidney Madden -- BJ the Chicago Kid took the roughly 15 minutes we generally allot for a Tiny Desk performance as a challenge. The 34-year old R&B mainstay used his moment at the desk to fit in as many of his most cherished songs as possible — Nine songs in 17 minutes to be exact.

To get the job done, BJ jumped around his 10-year discography, weaving deep cuts and covers from his early Pineapple Now-Laters days with contemporary cuts like "Church" off his major label debut, In My Mind, to heartfelt odes from his latest project, 1123. Along the way, BJ invited a bouncing bass and violin to play up his melodies and always kept his spirits light on what otherwise would have seemed like a rushed setlist.

It's clear from his performance at the desk that BJ grew up on Midwest soul and gospel. Taking cues from '60s and '70s legends like The Isley Brothers, The O'Jays and The Dells, BJ stirred up a harmonious elixir of his own and delivers a contemporary version of that classic sound.

BJ the Chicago Kid might have seemed like a newcomer when he earned Grammy nominations for "Studio" (2014), his Top 40 collaboration supporting ScHoolboy Q, and for In My Mind (2016), his debut album for Motown. However, the singer and songwriter had been developing his streetwise mix of vintage and modern R&B styles for nearly a decade, gathering experience as a background singer, guest vocalist, and songwriter with work for the likes of Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, and Lalah Hathaway. Veteran Swedish progressive hardcore band Raised Fist shape an aggressive, inviting sound by honing punk roots with a death metal edge. Dating back to 1998's Fuel (a favorite of Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson), one can hear bass and guitar breakdowns juxtaposed with hardcore. The influence of metalcore made its impact clear on 2001's Ignoring the Guidelines. By the time they issued 2006's Sound of the Republic, they had fully integrated death metal into their sinewy musical identity and emerged with a sound virtually unlike any other punk band on the continent. American acts have cited them as influential due to Raised Fist's politically militant songwriting, top-flight musicianship, and unhinged live energy. 

In 2013 the band signed a two-album deal with Epitaph Records, delivering the first of the two albums, From the North, in early 2015. After a world tour and headline appearances at various music festivals, Raised Fist took an extended break. They reassembled at Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg with producers Roberto Laghi and Jakob Herrmann, and a determination to do things differently. For the first time, the band limited themselves to issuing just ten songs and pursued that goal while writing in the studio. If a different tune emerged in the process, and was collectively deemed good enough to include, the band would drop a previously agreed-upon track off the list. Putting a glam spin on their acerbic, melodic punk rock, Sweden's Backyard Babies began touring in the late '80s before releasing their debut EP, Something to Swallow, in 1991. Embraced by the mainstream in their home country, their second and third LPs -- 1998's Total 13 and 2001's Making Enemies Is Good -- won Swedish Grammis Awards, and their 2008 self-titled album went all the way to number one. Still going strong after 30 years with the same lineup, their eighth studio album, Sliver and Gold, reached Sweden's Top Five in 2019.

Singer/songwriter Andy Shauf's dark, rustic tales of the Canadian prairie blend folk with sophisticated pop, reflecting his upbringing in Regina, Saskatchewan. He became interested in music as a teenager, teaching himself guitar, drums, piano, and any other instruments he came across. The songs he wrote and recorded in his parents' basement eventually culminated in a collection of demos called Darker Days, which he self-released in 2009. Citing influences like Wilco, Elliott Smith, and Neil Young, Shauf's hushed, lyrical songs have a keen focus on arrangement. He spent the following two years painstakingly recording his first proper album, Bearer of Bad News, which he released in late 2012. The album was critically well-received and over the coming two years he expanded his touring range throughout North America, eventually heading to Europe as well. In January 2015, Bearer of Bad News was re-released by the Portland, Oregon-based label Tender Loving Empire. His follow-up was constructed in a similarly intricate manner, with the initial 2014 full-band sessions later being scrapped in favor of Shauf's preferred method of recording and arranging each instrument himself. The result was 2016's The Party, another literate, detailed pop gem that saw a U.S. release via the ANTI- label, with Arts & Crafts handling the record in Canada.

J started playing music at age four and has been recording music since they were thirteen.

Before glass beach, they performed with 8-Bit Odyssey, Ferris Wheel on Fire, Lucky Death Princess Squad Go! Go! Go!,

and Victory Gardens and released several solo albums under the name Casio Dad.

J plays keyboard and guitar and is the lead vocalist and songwriter for glass beach, as well as the producer and mixing/mastering engineer.

Outside of music, J is a multimedia artist who has worked in animation, graphic design, web design, video editing, painting, and game development.

"Something to Believe In" is a song that was originally released as a single called the "Sire Single Version", and then re-recorded as a song on the Ramones album Animal Boy released in May 1986. There are also live video versions of the song. It was written by Dee Dee Ramone and Jean Beauvoir. The "Sire Single Version" was re-released as track 14 of the second disk of the Ramones Anthology. The song was re-released in 2005 by Rhino/Warner Bros, on the album Weird Tales of the Ramones.

The song is more gentle sounding than most Ramones songs, particularly the cover by The Pretenders, which was produced by Johnny Ramone and is sung at an extremely slow tempo for a Ramones song.

"Something to Believe In" was also the background track for a music video called "Ramones Aid" which was frequently played on MTV. In the video, the Ramones are depicted in a group of people who give money to charity. This video parodies Hands Across America, by featuring T-shirts with the logo "Hands Across Your Face" and showing various hands holding each other in various settings. A large number of people appear in Ramones Aid, including Mark Holton (including a skeleton hand and a hook), Animotion, Afrika Bambaataa, Circle Jerks, John Doe and Exene Cervenka of X, The B-52's, Berlin, Fishbone, Ron Mael and Russell Mael of Sparks, Ted Nugent, Spinal Tap, Weird Al Yankovic, Penn and Teller, and The Untouchables, Toni Basil, Rodney Bingenheimer, The Bongos, Tom Petersson, Fisher & Preachman, Holly Beth Vincent, Richie Stotts, The Cruzados, False Prophets, The Pandoras, Rudy Sarzo, The Rattlers, Carla Olsen, David Pahoa, Gary U.S. Bonds, Mary Woronov, Dangerzone, Elliot Hoffman. The video included lookalikes from the 1985 USA for Africa video titled "We Are the World" (Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, and Cyndi Lauper). When juxtaposed with images in parody of other aid videos, the songs hook line, "I'm looking for something to believe in", is frequently interpreted as making fun of true believers whose identity is derived from embracing a cause.

"Something to Believe In" was nominated for the New York City Music Award, for best video clip, and was only surpassed by Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer". The album the song was on took New York City Music Awards best album, the other single track on the album took best single.

Nigerian singer/songwriter Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (aka Wizkid) began his career in music when he was just 11 years old. His first record, Lil Prinz, was recorded in 2001 in collaboration with Glorious Five, a group consisting of Balogun and his friends from church. In 2006, he started pursuing music full-time, at first collaborating with various Nigerian pop acts including OJB Jezreel, Naeto C, and Banky W. By 2011 he was ready to record his debut studio album as a solo artist; Superstar was released via Empire Mates Entertainment (EME for short) to great critical and public acclaim across Africa, propelling him to stardom in his home country. After multiple delays and label disagreements, Balogun released his sophomore album, Ayo, in 2014. His second studio album featured a multitude of guest appearances, including a spot from Femi Kuti. It also featured Balogun's global breakthrough track "Ojuelegba." Not only did the single cement his status as one of Nigeria's biggest pop acts, it was also picked up and remixed by Drake and Skepta, thrusting Wizkid into the international spotlight. In return, Wizkid appeared on Drake's 2016 smash single "One Dance." In March 2017, it was announced that Wizkid had signed a major deal with RCA and Sony International, which would release his third LP, Sound from the Other Side, later that year. A handful of singles appeared in advance of the album, including "Sweet Love" and the Drake-assisted "Come Closer." October 2018 saw Wizkid issue a pair of singles, "Master Groove" and "Fever," to mark Nigeria's Independence Day. The following year, he joined Beyoncé and Saint Jhn for The Lion King: The Gift track "Brown Skin Girl" and issued his own single, "Joro."

Dutch electronic music producer Jay Hardway -- real name Jobke Heiblom -- worked closely with fellow countryman and EDM sensation Martin Garrix, earning Europe-wide recognition for their 2014 hit single, "Wizard." Nestling in an explosion of European producers such as Avicii, DVBBS, and Hardwell, Hardway first appeared on the EDM scene with Garrix in 2012 on the single "Registration Code." Following this break, the Dutchman has gone on to remix Margaret Berger's "I Feed You My Love" and play sold-out shows worldwide.

The Get Up Kids are an American rock band from Kansas City, Missouri. Formed in 1995, the band was a major player in the mid-1990s emo scene, otherwise known as the "second wave" of emo music. As they gained prominence, they began touring with bands such as Green Day and Weezer before becoming headliners themselves, eventually embarking on international tours of Japan and Europe. They founded Heroes & Villains Records, an imprint of the successful indie rock label Vagrant Records. While the imprint was started to release albums by The Get Up Kids, it served as a launching pad for several side-projects such as The New Amsterdams and Reggie and the Full Effect.

On March 29, 2018, Polyvinyl Records and Big Scary Monsters announced on their Instagram account that they had signed the band and that new music will be coming soon. On June 8, 2018, the band released a thirteen minute, four song EP entitled Kicker. On March 7, 2019, the group's next album Problems was announced for release on May 10.
