With his slicked-back hair and leather jacket, American rapper G-Eazy was known as "the James Dean of rap" when he debuted in the late 2000s. Armed with bars that detailed hedonistic excess and conflicted inner turmoil, he steadily climbed the charts in the 2010s on the strength of his hit duet with Bebe Rexha, "Me, Myself & I," from his major-label debut, 2014's These Things Happen. He repeated that success in 2017 with third album The Beautiful & Damned, which paired him with Halsey on the platinum "Him & I," and A$AP Rocky and Cardi B on the Top Four hit "No Limit."

Born Gerald Earl Gillum in Oakland, California, G-Eazy launched his career while still in college at Loyola University in New Orleans, heading up a hip-hop crew named the Bay Boyz while dropping his solo debut, The Epidemic LP, in 2009. Two years later, his mixtape The Endless Summer landed with the hit redo of Dion's "Runaround Sue." In 2012 he released his second LP, Must Be Nice, hitting the road with Hoodie Allen and joining the Vans Warped Tour. In 2014 he returned with his first major-label release, These Things Happen (RCA). As his popularity grew in the following year, he embarked on an extensive international tour and recorded his fourth album. When It's Dark Out was released in late 2015 and included a hit duet with Bebe Rexha, "Me, Myself & I." Dark would go on to peak at number five on the Billboard 200 and top the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. In the summer of 2016, while on tour with Logic, YG, and Yo Gotti, Eazy appeared on Britney Spears' comeback single "Make Me," which entered the Top 20 of the Hot 100. "Some Kind of Drug," his single featuring Marc E. Bassy, arrived at the end of the year and would enter the singles charts in early 2017. At the beginning of the year, G-Eazy also teamed up with Carnage for the EP Step Brothers.

By mid-year, he released the single "No Limit," which featured A$AP Rocky and Cardi B. The multi-platinum track climbed into the Top Five of the Hot 100, becoming his highest-charting single to date. This was followed by a second platinum chart hit, "Him & I," which featured his then-girlfriend Halsey. Both tracks were included on his third studio album, The Beautiful & Damned, which was released in December 2017. The double-disc set peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. In 2018 Eazy teamed up with Yo Gotti and YBN Nahmir for the single "1942," which appeared on the Uncle Drew soundtrack. Eazy's 2019 output included the EP B-Sides, the single "West Coast" featuring Blueface, and a bevy of features on tracks by Chris Brown, Carnage, and T-Pain. He closed the year with a second EP, Scary Nights, which recruited Moneybagg Yo, French Montana, Miguel, and others.

YUNGBLUD — “Original Me” (LIFT)

He comes on like punk rock never died, delivering an attack that conjures both Johnny Rotten and Andrew WK at their fiercest. The roar of energy that marks YUNGBLUD's music can be blistering, and as his songs reveal their intentions you find out that the 22-year-old has a dedication to fighting the power and putting the bad guys on blast. Long story short, our new LIFT artist has an incisive way of venting frustrations often shared by his fans, who are often similar in age and who YUNGBLUD holds in high regard. The Doncaster, UK native came up on a mix of Eminem, Manson and Gaga, but loves the explosive approach of the Clash and Arctic Monkeys. The gent born Dominic Harrison has a similar way of slapping a song around, and his ‘21st Century Liability’ debut proved just how commanding this newcomer could be. Now his ‘the underrated youth’ EP has just arrived, and his fame is spreading. US fans got a nice taste of his power when he had tracks featured in ‘Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw’ and ’13 Reasons Why’, as well as a high-vis duet with Halsey, “11 Minutes.” The fierce energy of his LIFT performance is front and center; he filled Brooklyn’s Grand Prospect Hall with what GQ mag deems “IDGAF” rock ‘n’ roll. Watch "Original Me" and "hope for the underrated youth," and stay close, we have a very cool profile coming.

"Where Is My Mind?" is a song by the American alternative rock band Pixies, and is the seventh track on their debut album Surfer Rosa. Although the song was never released as a single, it is one of the band's signature songs. It received a Silver certification from the BPI for UK singles.

The German alternative hard rock/metal act, Emil Bulls formed in 1995 in Munich around the talents of Christoph "Christ" von Freydorf (vocals), Stefan "Fini" Finauer (drums), Jamie "Citnoh" Richardson (bass), and Stephan "Moik" Karl and Franz Wickenhäuser (guitars). The band had two independent releases, 1997's Red Dick's Potato Garden and 2000's Monogamy, before signing to a major label. They then released Angel Delivery Service in 2001 and Porcelain in 2003. After their second major-label release, Emil Bulls departed from their contract and signed with Pirate Records. That year also saw the departure of drummer Fini, who was replaced by Fabian Füss just in time for an American jaunt, which included shows at the legendary CBGB. The band returned to Bavaria to record its next album, The Southern Comfort (named after the region of Germany, not necessarily the name brand booze), which saw release in 2005. Arriving in 2008, The Black Path was preceded by the unplugged concert LP The Life Acoustic, and in 2009 the band issued its seventh studio long-player, Phoenix. Oceanic arrived in 2011, followed in 2014 by a new studio album, Sacrifice to Venus, as well as a career retrospective, Those Were the Days. To celebrate their 20th anniversary, in 2016 Emil Bulls released XX, a collection of newly recorded versions of some of their best-known works.

Earning his nickname with a life of crime that landed him a two-year stint in jail, Atlanta MC Trouble had just signed a recording contract when he was caught in a home invasion that ended in kidnapping and armed-robbery charges. The contract was with Duct Tape Entertainment, and Trouble (born Mariel Semonte Orr in Atlanta, Georgia) was working in the studio with label boss Big Bank Black the day the home invasion went down. He served his sentence until December 17, 2010, and a year later, he used that date as the title of his debut mixtape. In 2014, his album All on Me was released on that very same day. It marked the start of a prolific run for Trouble as he channeled his creative energy into a deluge of mixtapes including #ZayDidIt (2015), Skoob Fresh (2015), Skoobzilla (2016), and Year in 2016 (2017). His 2016 collaboration with fellow Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci, the single "Key to the Streets," reached number 70 on Billboard's Hot 100. In 2018, Trouble signed with Ear Drummer Records, issuing "Bring It Back" with Drake and Mike WiLL Made-It and another Mike WiLL single, "Real Is Rare."

J.J. Fad - "Supersonic" [Hip-Hop]

Supersonic

"Supersonic" music video by J.J. Fad
Added: 14-11-2019
Genre : Hip-Hop
Description : J.J. Fad - Supersonic (Official Music Video)

You're watching the official music video for J.J. Fad - "Supersonic" from the album 'Supersonic The Album' (1988). "Supersonic" was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance and was sampled in Fergie's "Fergalicious".

-

J. J. Fad is an American female rap group from Rialto, California, a city in the Inland Empire east of Los Angeles. The name was an acronym of the original group members' given names (Juana, Juanita, Fatima, Anna, and Dania), but when the line-up changed the tradition developed that it stood for Just, Jammin', Fresh and Def. The group was backed by DJ Train (Clarence Lars).

"Supersonic" is a song by J.J. Fad from their debut album of the same name. The first recording of "Supersonic" was released in 1987 by the original line-up of J.J. Fad as the B-side to "Anotha Ho" on Dream Team Records. In 1988, the new line-up re-recorded and released "Supersonic" as a single; this version reached #10 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play Songs and #22 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. "Supersonic" stayed on the dance charts for eight weeks. The single was certified gold by RIAA, and also got nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance in 1989, making them the first all-female rap group to be nominated for a Grammy award.

The song has been sampled by others in the music industry like Fergie in her song "Fergalicious", including parts of the beat and ways in which the song is sung. There has been much debate over whether or not this has been legal sampling, and a lawsuit was filed by former N.W.A. member Arabian Prince against Ruthless Records because he says the Black Eyed Peas did not provide them any royalties on the song. In a later interview with HipHopDX, Arabian Prince stated, “will.i.am did the right thing and the good thing by actually saying, ‘Okay, yeah, I got this from ‘Supersonic,’ we’re gonna go ahead and get the publishing on this and pay royalties to me, whoever else and the girls.’ So that was a good thing.”

Bas started rapping as a lark and within a decade became a central member of the Dreamville roster with Last Winter (2014), Too High to Riot (2016), and Milky Way (2018), charting albums characterized by thoughtful and versatile wordplay.

The son of Sudanese parents, Bas (short for Abbas Hamad) was raised in Paris until the age of eight, when his family moved to Jamaica, Queens. Coerced by a friend, he started rapping in 2010, and a series of informal sessions later was linked to J. Cole. Bas' development as a performer was fostered by touring with Cole, who eventually signed the fledgling artist to his Interscope-affiliated Dreamville label. Last Winter, jokingly referred to as "An album from a n*gga who ain't got alotta fans yet," was released as a digital download and a CD in April 2014. It featured appearances from Cole and Mack Wilds and debuted on Billboard's R&B/hip-hop chart at number 18. Bas contributed to Dreamville's Revenge of the Dreamers, Vol. 2 compilation in 2015 prior to releasing his second proper album, Too High to Riot, the following March. Highlighted by "Night Job" and more lucid and energized than indicated by its title, the full-length went Top Ten R&B/hip-hop and cracked the Top 50 of the Billboard 200.

Milky Way followed in August 2018, becoming Bas' third consecutive Top 20 R&B/hip-hop entry and debuting on the Billboard 200 at number 35, pushed by the breezy, Edu Lobo-sampling Cole collaboration "Tribe." The following spring, he teamed up with fellow Dreamville rapper J.I.D for the K-Quick-produced single "Fried Rice." It appeared on Spilled Milk, Vol. 1 (the first of an episodic series of EPs) along with appearances from Ari Lennox, EarthGang, and Kiddominant, among others.

Originally known as Lil' Boosie, Boosie Badazz's hard Southern style comes from growing up in one of Baton Rouge, Louisiana's more notorious neighborhoods, one that was known for drugs and gunplay. Not having his father in his life was another challenge, but things began moving in a positive direction when Boosie immersed himself in basketball. It looked like it could be his ticket into college, but getting involved in drugs got him kicked out of high school. He turned to rapping and eventually hooked up with C-Loc. An appearance on C-Loc's 2000 effort, It's a Gamble, became Boosie's debut. He soon released the full-length CD Youngest of da Camp on his own. His big breakthrough began when he joined Pimp C's Trill Entertainment camp. He was paired with fellow Trill artist Webbie for the 2003 release Ghetto Stories and again for 2004's Gangsta Musik, which featured the first appearance of Webbie's future hit "Give Me That." Trill then worked a deal with the Warner Bros.-associated Asylum, and both Webbie and Boosie were now on a major label.

Webbie released his album in 2005; Boosie's landed in 2006. Titled Bad Azz, the release featured Yung Joc, Pimp C, and Webbie as guests. The Bad Azz DVD soon followed, featuring interview footage in which Boosie explained the drug-related death of his father and revealed his own battle with diabetes. Late in the year, the Streetz Is Mine mixtape appeared in cooperation with DJ Drama. His slick album Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz landed in 2009 along with the single "Better Believe It." The next year, Boosie followed up with Incarcerated, which was issued while he served time for drug possession. After his 2014 release from prison, he changed his name to Boosie Badazz and was featured on several tracks, including ones by Jeezy ("Beez Like") and T.I. ("Jet Fuel"). He also issued Life After Deathrow, a mixtape, as a free digital download. The proper album Touchdown 2 Cause Hell followed in 2015 on Atlantic. It featured the single "Like a Man" along with guest appearances from Chris Brown, Rich Homie Quan, T.I., and Rick Ross. In 2016 he dropped the crime-themed street release Thug Talk along with Penitentiary Chances, a collaborative album with the then-incarcerated C-Murder, who recorded his verses from behind bars. A slew of mixtapes arrived that same year, including In My Feelings (Goin' Thru It), Out My Feelings (In My Past), and Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. Studio full-length BooPac arrived in 2017, alongside the Hurricane Chris collaboration My Favorite Mixtape and its quick follow-up, 2018's My Favorite Mixtape 2. Boosie also tried his hand at being a romancing soul man on the silky Boosie Blues Cafe, which was followed by another seasonal tape, Savage Holidays, which featured appearances by YFN Lucci, Rich Homie Quan, and more.

The prolific emcee continued in 2019 with the single "Bonnie and Clyde."

Alternative singer/songwriter Morgxn combines electronic atmospherics with a sensual R&B-influenced delivery, similar to Oh Wonder, Jack Garratt, Jon Bellion, and Bishop Briggs. Born in Nashville, the soulful artist grew up surrounded by music, guided by his grandfather, a former vaudeville singer. Based in both New York City and Los Angeles, Morgxn signed with Wxnderlost Records and released his debut track, "Love You with the Lights On," in 2016. Later that year, he issued a cover of Duran Duran's "Notorious" and the thumping rocker "Home." The popularity of the latter -- which spawned remixes by LEFTI, Joywave, and Toy Armada -- helped the artist exceed four million online streams. In 2017, he issued "XX" and "Hard Pill to Swallow." The full-length Vital arrived in 2018, with the stripped-down Vital: Blue EP arriving in January 2019.

Cage to Rattle is the fifth studio album by American rock band Daughtry, released on July 27, 2018, through RCA Records. This is their first studio album in five years since Baptized in 2013. At just ten songs, this album is Daughtry's shortest album to date. It is also their first album with drummer Brandon Maclin. Upon its release the album received predominantly positive reviews from music critics, with some calling it the group's strongest and most mature work.
