Galactic Empire is a quartet of prog-metal musicians who came up with a novel idea for a group: turn the music of the Star Wars universe into vehicles for metallic shredding, then perform dressed as Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers, and other Sith lords. Guitarists Josh Willis, C.J. Masciantonio, Chris Kelly, drummer Grant McFarland, and bassist Carson Slovak -- Willis and Masciantonio both played in Unparalleled Height; Slovak and McFarland were in Century -- unveiled their Galactic Empire act via YouTube in December 2015, debuting with a version of the Star Wars "Main Theme," which was followed in the spring of 2016 by their take on "The Imperial March." By May, the group had started a crowd-funding campaign to record an album and tour, hitting their targets in the middle of summer. Rise Records signed the band and their eponymous debut arrived in February 2017. The following year saw the release of the aptly named Episode II, which focused on the Star Wars sequels.

"Shattered Glass" is a song written by Bob Mitchell and Steve Coe which was originally recorded in 1980 by Ellie Warren. The song was recorded in 1987 by Laura Branigan with the Stock Aitken Waterman production team to serve as the first single released from Branigan's fifth album, the 1987 release Touch.

"Shattered Glass" was one of two tracks Branigan cut with the Stock Aitken Waterman team. Originally the Touch album was to totally be a collaboration with producer David Kershenbaum but after completing her recording with Kershenbaum, Branigan, who was especially interested in scoring a strong hit single as her previous album release Hold Me had only produced a mild hit in "Spanish Eddie" (#40), made an overnight foray to the UK to record at the PWL Studios in London with Stock Aitken Waterman, at the time enjoying massive chart success with releases by such acts as Rick Astley, Bananarama and Dead or Alive. Besides "Shattered Glass", the PWL session produced Branigan's recording of "Whatever I Do" a Stock Aitken Waterman original previously recorded in 1984 by Hazell Dean.

When they first started out as a band, Liverpool trio Stealing Sheep (guitarist Emily Lansley, keyboardist Rebecca Hawley, and drummer Lucy Mercer) drew from a wide range of sources as diverse as medieval folk, Broadcast, Kraftwerk, and psychedelia. Their earliest releases featured the group sorting out their eclectic sound while always relying on their bewitching vocal harmonies. By the time of their second album, 2015's Not Real, Stealing Sheep had begun to focus on a more direct approach that involved synthesizers and the contrast between warm vocals and cold instruments. As their sound evolved, the band looked toward modern pop sounds and reshaped them in ways that reflected their personalities. 2019's bright and shiny Big Wows was their first big pop statement.

Cold is an American rock band, formed in 1986 in Jacksonville, Florida. With two gold-albums, Cold has sold over one million records in the US alone. On November 17, 2006, it was announced on Myspace that, after a period of uncertainty since that February, the group had decided to disband. In July 2008, it was announced that the original line-up would reunite for a tour in early 2009. This became permanent and the band released their fifth studio album Superfiction on July 19, 2011.

On June 27, 2019, Cold announced that The Things We Can't Stop, their first album in eight years, would be released on September 13, 2019.

Jessica Hilda Mauboy (born 4 August 1989) is an Australian R&B and pop singer, songwriter, and actress. Born and raised in Darwin, Northern Territory, Mauboy rose to fame in 2006 on the fourth season of Australian Idol; she became the runner-up and subsequently signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia. Western Stars is the nineteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen, released through Columbia Records on June 14, 2019. It was produced by Ron Aniello, who worked with Springsteen on his two previous albums: Wrecking Ball (2012) and High Hopes (2014).

A documentary film, which marked Springsteen's directorial debut and features a full performance of the album, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2019, with a wide theatrical release in October 2019 along with an accompanying soundtrack for the film. Springsteen will not be touring for the album and announced that he will shift focus towards recording a new studio album with the E Street Band in the fall of 2019.

Tyler Dow Bryant (born February 24, 1991) is an American rock musician from Honey Grove, Texas, United States.

When Tyler entered high school, he started listening to rock and roll music, such as The Black Crowes, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. This music started influencing the songs that he was writing and playing. Tyler moved to Nashville at age 17 to write songs, and in the process he met drummer Caleb Crosby and bass player Calvin Webster. Caleb and Calvin joined Tyler's band, named "Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown", which now also includes bass guitarist Noah Denney and guitarist Graham Whitford (the latter being the son of Aerosmith's Brad Whitford).

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown released their debut album Wild Child on January 22, 2013. Their song "Loaded Dice & Buried Money" was available for streaming on October 13, 2015, and an EP titled The Wayside was announced with a release date of November 13, 2015.

"Heart of Stone" is a song by the English rock band The Rolling Stones, released as a single in 1964 in the United States, and on an extended-play single in Europe. It was not released in the United Kingdom until featuring on the Out of Our Heads UK album released September 1965.

Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, "Heart of Stone" was scheduled as a single release in the United States. In the United Kingdom it appeared as a track on the UK album Out of Our Heads and in many European countries on an EP with a subsequent single. In the Netherlands the EP reached No. 6 in the singles charts.

Richie Unterberger says, "'Heart of Stone' [is] a slow and soulful, dramatic ballad with the kind of vaguely discordant, droning guitars heard on many an early Rolling Stones slow number. What was impressive was how the Jagger/Richards song, though similar in some respect to American soul ballads of the period...was not explicitly derivative of any one blues or soul song that they were covering on their mid-60s records. The lilt of the verses owed something to country music and the mournful harmonies heard on the latter part of the verses added to the overall feeling of melancholy moodiness."

The song sees the singer discuss his life as a womanizer, and how one girl in particular won't break his heart.

Recording began on 2 November 1964 at Los Angeles' RCA Studios with Jagger singing, Keith Richards and Brian Jones on guitars, Bill Wyman on bass, and Charlie Watts on drums. Jack Nitzsche performs tambourine and piano.

"Heart of Stone" was initially released in December 1964 as a single in the US where it became their second Top 20 US hit, reaching #19. The song was included on the US album The Rolling Stones, Now! the following February.

Ronnie James Tucker, who goes by Ro James, is a contemporary R&B singer and songwriter based in New York City. The son of a military veteran, James was born in Stuttgart, Germany and spent portions of his early life in New York, Indiana, Hawaii, Oklahoma, and Texas. While living in Indianapolis, he experienced a major breakup, which prompted him to write and record a song; though he had played drums as early as the age of nine, he previously had no inclination to be involved with music. Friends pushed James forward, and by the end of 2013, the fledgling artist had released three four-song EPs of vulnerable but assured R&B: Coke, Jack, and Cadillacs. Asher Roth and Snoop Dogg each made a guest appearance in the series. James later signed to major-label RCA, where he released the Willie Hutch-sampling single "Permission," a collaboration with Soundz and Verse Simmonds, in 2015. Eldorado, James' debut album, was issued the following May, and earned him his first nomination for Best R&B Performance at the 59th Grammy Awards in February 2017. He returned the following year with the Cadillacs EP.

"Buddy X" is a song by Swedish musician Neneh Cherry from her 1992 album Homebrew. It was a top-forty hit single in both the Netherlands and the United Kingdom in 1993, peaking at No. 23 and No. 35, respectively. The song also charted in the United States, reaching No. 43, and in Canada, where it reached No. 28.

In 1999, it was remixed by UK garage trio the Dreem Teem and retitled "Buddy X 99". This version was a top-twenty hit, peaking at No. 15 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 1 on the UK Dance Chart. Japanese death metal band Defiled was formed in Tokyo in 1992 and initially featured guitarist Yusuke Sumita, bassist Norihisa Fukuda, vocalist Masafumi Kitamura, and drummer Kouji Uchida, but the last two didn't make it past the group's self-financed debut EP from 1994, Defeat of Sanity. Their replacements were Hideki Fujimoto and Yuichi Ishiguro, respectively, but Defiled existed as little more than a domestic touring unit until 1999, when they finally earned an international deal with American Nightfall Records for the release of their first full album, Erupted Wrath. 2001's Ugliness Revealed (featuring temporary drummer Naoki Akamatsu) and 2003's Divination followed in due course and garnered mostly enthusiastic press to go with the group's numerous U.S. festival performances and equally positive comparisons to technical death titans like Gorguts and Suffocation. However, the buzz was short-lived, as instead of capitalizing on the success of Divination, the band decided to take a "creative break." That period of inactivity would last nearly eight years, ending with the release of 2011's Bill Metoyer-produced In Crisis, which was released via Season of Mist. After another extended break, this time only four years, the band returned with Towards Inevitable Ruin in 2016.

Versatile and incendiary Austin, Texas-based quintet Fire from the Gods bridge the gap between hardcore metal fury and hip-hop consciousness via a mosh pit-inducing sonic attack and socially and politically charged lyrics.

Fire from the Gods formed in 2010 with an original lineup that included guitarist Drew Walker and bassist Bonner Baker, as well as vocalist Eric July, guitarist Tony Esparza, and drummer Judson Curtis. They released their metalcore debut, Sleeping with Anchors & Mirrors, followed by the Sweet Lasting Revenge EP, before July, Esparza, and Curtis parted ways with the band. A re-formed lineup -- connected through the Headbang Program -- emerged in 2015, fronted by powerful frontman AJ Channer and rounded out by guitarist Jameson Teat and drummer Richard Wicander. Channer -- born in the Bronx and raised in London and Ghana -- injected the group with new focus and vitality, merging the band's aggressive style with thoughtful, often uplifting and socially conscious lyrics. Their sound took the intensity of Sevendust and Slipknot, and layered it with heavy grooves found at the cores of P.O.D., Rage Against the Machine, and Skindred.

The band signed with Rise Records for the release of their 2016 LP Narrative, which was produced by David Bendeth (Paramore, Of Mice & Men, Breaking Benjamin). Written from the point of view of a minority man living in urban America, Narrative put American society under a microscope, tackling topics like racism and abuse of power and balancing those with empowering underdog anthems. The following year, the band issued Narrative Retold, a re-release of their 2016 album Narrative with the addition of two new songs guest produced by Korn's Jonathan Davis. 2019's searing American Sun dealt punitively with issues like political discord, environmental apathy, and technological overload.
