A seasoned D.I.Y. extreme metal unit based out of Bern, Switzerland, Breakdown of Sanity employ a punishing blend of breakdown-heavy metalcore, post-grunge, and nu-metal. Founded in 2007 by guitarist/songwriter Oliver Stingel (Paranoia) and vocalist Carlo Knöpfel (Nerph), the band soon added bass player César Gonin (Paranoia), drummer Thomas Rindlisbacher (Mortal Hatred), and second guitarist Sandro Keusen (Trinity) to the mix, the latter of whom was replaced in 2009 by Christoph Gygax (Close in Sight, Estate of Embers). The band issued their debut LP, The Last Sunset, independently in 2009, followed by [MIRRORS] (2011), Perception (2013), and Coexistence (2016).

Like what you heard? Check out The Last Bandoleros!

Fusing Tex-Mex and rock & roll with high spirits and studied cool, the Last Bandoleros are a trio featuring Jerry Fuentes on guitar and vocals, Diego Navaira on bass and vocals, and Derek James on guitar and vocals. Both Fuentes and Navaira were raised in San Antonio, Texas, and Navaira's father was the celebrated Conjunto musician Emilio Navaira, Sr. Fuentes and Navaira were raised on a musical diet of classic Texas artists like Doug Sahm and Flaco Jimenez, as well as classic rock. James, meanwhile, hailed from New York City, and had a taste for roots rock and Brit-pop with jangly guitars. Fuentes and Navaira had both worked for a while at a recording studio in San Antonio, where a producer suggested Jerry hire Navaira and his brother, drummer Emilio Navaira, as his rhythm section. Fuentes and Navaira found they worked well together, but Jerry relocated to Brooklyn, New York, where he met Derek James. Fuentes and James started writing tunes together, and soon Diego Navaira joined them. As Jerry, Navaira, and Derek developed a distinct sound and style, they began playing out regularly in 2014, with Emilio as their drummer for live dates. Adopting the handle the Last Bandoleros, the band soon earned a reputation as one of the best acts in Brooklyn and San Antonio. In 2015, the group was approached by manager Martin Kierszenbaum, who liked their work and their style. Kierszenbaum signed them to his Cherrytree Management firm, and soon they were hitting the road regularly, headlining at venues like New York's Webster Hall and touring as the opener for ambitious country-pop combo the Mavericks. In 2015, they released a pair of digital singles, "I Don't Want to Know" and "Where Do You Go," which captured their mix of honky tonk attitude and Tex-Mex heart quite well. In 2016, Warner Bros. Nashville signed the Last Bandoleros to a recording contract, and a reissue of "Where Do You Go" arrived in April 2016.

Wall of Sound scored the album 9.5/10 and wrote: "MONOMANIA is a front running contender for Album Of The Year [...] Telle has really dug deep lyrically and bared his soul and there's just something about him showing that vulnerability that's easily relatable. The Word Alive have always stayed true to themselves and musically it definitely shows here, a lot of solid performances on this album from Zack, Tony & Matt!"

Description : Andrew W.K.: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert From The Archives

Nov. 30, 2009 | Stephen Thompson

Sometimes, an idea is so perverse and bizarre that it needs to be carried out and followed to its logical end. So once we hatched the idea to bring long-haired, wild-eyed, keyboard-pounding, sublimely over-the-top party-rocker Andrew W.K. to perform an intimate concert at Bob Boilen's desk, there was no abandoning it. It simply had to happen.

We had a pretty good sense that Andrew W.K. himself would be game. If one characteristic has defined his unpredictable career, it's the sort of monomaniacal fearlessness that's led him to make one of the most sonically overdriven rock records of all time (2001's I Get Wet), tour with a string quartet, release an album of piano instrumentals (the new 55 Cadillac), produce a Lee "Scratch" Perry record, appear as a commentator on Fox News, travel the world as a motivational speaker, and host a children's show for The Cartoon Network in which kids build gigantic metal contraptions and then blow the holy hell out of them. (That show's title would make a perfect Andrew W.K. song: Destroy Build Destroy.) Naturally, when we approached him with the Tiny Desk Concert challenge, he didn't shy away.

But then, as the date approached, people around the office kept asking me the same question: "So, uh, what is Andrew W.K. going to do, anyway?" His music, after all, doesn't lend itself to intimacy of any kind, and he'd be appearing by himself. I was in charge of bringing him in and setting up the show, so it was only fair that I should have some idea of what on earth was going to happen when he got here, but all I knew was that he needed a keyboard on site. The thing is, though, I didn't want to know. If it was going to be awkward and confusing and a little raw, so much the better: What's rock 'n' roll without an element of surprise?

What we got was... awkward, confusing and a little raw; so much the better. Andrew W.K. opened with two long improvisational piano pieces, performed a heavily reworked version of "I Get Wet," and closed with a thoroughly unexpected cover of Jimmy Webb's "The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress" (popularized by Judy Collins, Joe Cocker, Linda Ronstadt and others). And there it is: in all likelihood, the first time Andrew W.K. and Linda Ronstadt have ever appeared in a sentence together. Now, that's rock 'n' roll.

Andrew Fetterly Wilkes-Krier (born May 9, 1979) is an American rock singer, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. Raised in Michigan, Wilkes-Krier began his musical career in the mid-1990s performing in a number of local bands before eventually moving to New York, where he produced his first recordings under the Andrew W.K. moniker.

After gaining initial attention with the 2000 EP Girls Own Juice, Wilkes-Krier rose to prominence with the release of his debut studio album I Get Wet in November 2001, as well as its singles "Party Hard" and "We Want Fun". In the years following its release, Wilkes-Krier has also undertaken a number of other musical and non-musical ventures such as television and radio work, including a stint as host of the TV series Destroy Build Destroy, motivational speaking, and writing.

my debut album 'we' is out now!

connect with gnash:

Los Angeles-based producer gnash combines the emotional vulnerability of Bright Eyes with the sounds of laptop alt-R&B similar to the Weeknd's early releases. His international hit collaboration with Olivia O'Brien "i hate u, i love u" went multi-platinum across the globe in 2016, rising into the Top 10 in the U.S., Europe, and Australasia.

Born Garrett Charles Nash, gnash got his start as a DJ and as one part of the duo Gemineyes with Harry Hudson. In 2014, his reimagining of the O.T. Genasis track "CoCo" garnered attention from blogs, which led to a string of digital singles released in 2015. His debut EP, U, was released in March of the same year. A mellow, laid-back affair, U employed gnash's rapping over woozy atmospherics, bringing to mind Drake and Troye Sivan. At the end of the year, me arrived. One year after his debut release, he issued his third EP, the seven-song us. Gnash described the emotive, downtempo us as his personal sonic journey through life's ups and downs -- breakups, self-discovery, searching for new experiences -- ultimately leading to loving oneself. A full roster of guest collaborators appeared on the EP, such as Compton rapper Buddy, Goody Grace, Mark Johns, Liphemra, Wrenn, Quiñ, and Rosabeales. Lead single "i hate u, i love u," a duet with Olivia O'Brien, surpassed 350 million online streams, topped international charts, and entered the Billboard Top Ten in late 2016.

In 2018, gnash returned with the singles "The Broken Hearts Club," "Nobody's Home," and "t-shirt," which would all land on his official debut full-length, We (Atlantic), which was issued in early 2019.

Joe Camilleri, the man behind the Black Sorrows, is one of Australia's most talented artists. Camilleri started during the '60s with bands such as the King Bees and Adderley Smith Blues Band. His reputation grew during the '70s after appearing with Lipp and the Double Dekker Brothers and the Pelaco Brothers, but it wasn't until he formed Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons in 1975 that he achieved national fame. Renowned for their live performances, they released several albums and singles before breaking up in 1983. Camilleri formed the Black Sorrows the next year.

Citizen John is the eighteenth studio album by Australian blues rock band, The Black Sorrows. The album was released on 29 March 2019. Upon announcement of the album, lead singer Joe Camilleri said "This is the album... is the hardest album I've ever made, on many levels", adding: "It's about moving forward. To me, it's always about moving forward. It's all very nice to get a pat on the back and 'Hey I saw you in '78,' but I want people to judge me on this album."

The album will be supported with an Australian tour from February to April, then Europe from April to May 2019.

Texas guitarist, singer, and blues-rocker Tyler Bryant started playing guitar at the age of six, and by 11 he was good enough to jam with adult players, and it was clear what his future avocation would be. He moved to Nashville during his senior year of high school (he finished his classes and coursework online and graduated after the move), and he has really never looked back, developing into an explosive and talented blues and hard rock guitarist, even playing Eric Clapton's Crossroads Festival at the age of 15. Along the way Bryant assembled a powerhouse band, the Shakedown, comprised of Caleb Crosby on drums, Noah Denney on bass, and Graham Whitford, the son of Aerosmith's Brad Whitford, on second guitar. Quickly earning a buzz on the blues and rock touring circuit, the band opened shows for the likes of Aerosmith, B.B. King, and Clapton, among others, and released an EP, My Radio, in the spring of 2011, following it with a seven-track album, From the Sandcastle, in the fall. A 12-track full-length, Wild Child, recorded in analog with engineer Vance Powell, appeared early in 2013. The success of Wild Child helped to land the group a deal with John Varvatos/Republic Records, who would would put out their 2015 EP The Wayside.

Dermot Kennedy - “My good friend Brendan Canty has made this short film about my set at Electric Picnic last year. The best live moment I’ve ever had. Singing these songs to a sea of people at home meant so much. I hope you enjoy this X”

Brendan Canty – ‘’Dermot Kennedy playing the mainstage at Electric Picnic 2019 was a monumental homecoming show for him. A landmark moment that underlined how far he has risen in just a couple of years - from busking on the streets of Dublin to playing to 20,000 people hanging off every word.

To mark the occasion, I was commissioned to make a narrative film featuring Dermot’s performance at Electric Picnic. I wanted to capture the youthful euphoria of a first festival experience - the magical highs, disappointments and redemptions between friends.

I cast two of the best young actors in Ireland in Jordanne Jones and Lauryn Canny, and with the best crew known to man and only one day of access, we somehow pulled this off - and I’m super proud of it!’’

Equal parts rustic folk and soulful grit, Ireland's Dermot Kennedy offers his own blend of passionate, introspective songwriting in a vein similar to fellow countryman and forebear Glen Hansard. A native of County Dublin, Kennedy began writing songs in his teens, eventually releasing the EP Dancing Under Red Skies in 2013. Honing his craft over the next few years, he found viral success with his single "After Rain," which racked up millions of streams in 2016. Kennedy's follow-up EP, 2017's Doves & Ravens, signaled a more pop-oriented approach with contributions from some heavy-hitting industry players like co-songwriter Charlie Hugall (Låpsley, Florence + the Machine) and producers Stephen Kozmeniuk and Carey Willetts. In 2018, Kennedy collaborated with legendary hip-hop producer Mike Dean for his third EP, Mike Dean Presents: Dermot Kennedy, which inherited some of the poppier sounds of Doves & Ravens, as well as pulling from genres like hip-hop and R&B. The tracks from these EPs, alongside various singles, were compiled onto Dermot Kennedy, a 2019 compilation album. This was followed by two further singles, "Lost" and "Outnumbered," the latter of which marked Kennedy's debut in the U.K. Top 40 singles chart. Both of these were included on his debut album Without Fear, which was released in September that year.

Description : Save My Mind (BUNT. Indie Dance Mix) [Music Video]

Here is our remix for Save My Mind, tried something different this time.

Hope you guys enjoy :)

German electronic duo BUNT. deliver party-friendly dance jams that honor the spirit of the late Avicii and channel the early material of funky forebears Justice, Basement Jaxx, and Calvin Harris. Debuting in the mid-2010s, they expanded their Avicii-esque folk-house sound by incorporating horns and world music flourishes, signing with the majors in 2019.

Hailing from Stuttgart, BUNT. is Levi Wijk and Nico Crispin, high school friends who teamed up at the age of 16 to craft dance anthems inspired by Swedish House Mafia. Taking SHM's propulsive festival house approach and enriching it with folksy elements like banjos and harmonicas, they adopted a style strikingly similar to Avicii's on early tracks such as 2014's "Journey" and "Harmonica." Subsequent 2016 output "Old Guitar" and "Coming Home" sounded like Of Monsters and Men or Mumford & Sons spun with an EDM twist, while "Young Hearts" was infused with saxophone. By 2018, Celtic world music tones found their way into "On My Way" and "Little Secrets."

With nearly a dozen tracks building a wide audience by the end of the decade, the pair signed with Geffen and made their label debut with 2019's "Oh My Other." Teaming with blues band the Dip, they followed with the earthy "Sure Don't Miss You." Borrowing Buena Vista Social Club's Omara Portuondo's "Tiene Sabor," they added Latin flair to their repertoire with that summer's "Cuba (Tiene Sabor)."

A sprightly pop band from the Camden borough of London, Kawala found success in 2018 when their percussive indie folk-inflected single "Do It Like You Do" became a streaming hit. Thanks to their bright, melodic style, they have earned comparisons to bands like Bombay Bicycle Club and Glass Animals.

Kawala were initially formed as an acoustic duo by singer Jim Higson and guitarist/singer Daniel McCarthy, who studied music together at university in Leeds before heading back to North London to immerse themselves in the local music scene. A 2015 appearance on the popular Mahogany Sessions video series raised their profile significantly, and they soon fleshed out the band with the addition of lead guitarist Dan Lee, bassist Reeve Coulson, and drummer Ben Batten.

Kawala issued their debut single, "Small Death," in 2017, following it in early 2018 with "Do It Like You," becoming a streaming success in the process. As Kawala picked up steam throughout 2018, they began making festival appearances at Live at Leeds and The Great Escape, eventually releasing their debut EP, D.I.L.Y.D., later that summer on Mahogany Records.

Description : Snoh Aalegra: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert

Feb. 18, 2020 | Sidney Madden -- Almost without trying, Snoh Aalegra has an unforgettable presence. Strolling into NPR's music department on the day of her Tiny Desk Concert debut, the striking Iranian-Swedish singer donned Off-White Nike Dunks, baggy jeans, dewy skin and a sleek ponytail, carrying herself with the kind of camera-ready, cool-girl aura that silenced a mass of people waiting for her. Even with all that, the moment she started to sing is when the real beauty shone through.

Like a fragile candle flame in a pool of melting wax, the texture of Aalegra's voice mesmerizes without overpowering. The 32-year-old has spent years perfecting that balance. Drawing her musical cues from Brandy and Sade while racking up a list of collaborators such as Vince Staples, James Fauntleroy and, most recently Pharrell Williams, Aalegra always finds her groove in the unexpected pockets of emotion. Much of her latest album, 2019's -Ugh, those feels again, is an ode to the comfortability of love, one that's even more appreciated within the close confines of the Tiny Desk.

On this day in particular, Aalegra's tracks were stripped of their punchier, album-version kick drums and trap echoes. In their absence, it's Aalegra's delicate vocal runs and chemistry with her supporting singers that resonated most. "I Want You Around" and "Whoa," which usually rest on a bed of glitchy, spiraling production, felt lighter thanks to the dreamy string section, and by the time she sang her concert closer, "Find Someone Like You," the room was in full swoon. It's clear that at just 16 minutes, Aalegra and her crew knew how to create a memorable moment.
