Best-known for his work as co-leader of Australian indie band Twerps, singer/songwriter Martin Frawley and his group earned international exposure plus critical accolades for their melodic jangle-pop and charming lo-fi aesthetic. Following a pair of well-received releases in 2011 and 2015, Twerps disbanded and Frawley launched his own career with the 2019 solo album, Undone at 31.

Jacksonville, Florida-based alternative metal outfit Cold started out by sharing the aesthetic of another Florida band, Limp Bizkit. Both groups favored technically complex, bleak, and brutal metal that merged elements of Jane's Addiction, Metallica, and Tool, but Cold also embraced elements of shoegaze and soaring, Snow Patrol-esque alternative rock. Bizkit frontman Fred Durst actually discovered Cold playing in the Jacksonville area and helped them sign to the A&M subsidiary Flip. Emerging in 1998, the band caught fire in the early 2000s with the albums 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage (2000) and Year of the Spider (2003), both of which were certified Gold. Cold went on hiatus in 2006, but re-formed a few years later as a touring entity. They returned to the studio in 2011 and released Superfiction, another commercial success, followed in 2019 by The Things We Can't Stop.

With a look that falls somewhere between Adam Ant and Prince and a sound that blends glam rock, psychedelic folk, and indie pop, London-based singer/songwriter Charles Costa began writing music at the age of 17. Proficient on guitar, piano, and cello, as well as classically trained in voice, Costa adopted the King Charles pseudonym in 2007 upon returning to London after a two-year sociology stint at Durham University. After winning the Nashville-based International Songwriting Competition in 2009, he inked a global contract with Universal Republic and began recording his debut album in Hollywood, California. The resulting Loveblood was released in May 2012.

Coming out of Southern California during the rap-metal explosion around the turn of the century, Atreyu crafted a sound much closer to Agnostic Front or Hatebreed. Their warped, detuned guitars were matched by pounding drums and acidic vocals, which gave the material a distinct metalcore edge. Originally operating under the moniker Retribution, the band eventually changed their name to Atreyu, after a character from the Michael Ende-penned fantasy book The Neverending Story, and released their debut album, Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses, in 2002 via Victory Records. They continued to refine their punitive, but melodic post-hardcore sound on career best offerings like Lead Sails Paper Anchor (2007) and Congregation of the Damned (2009), before going on hiatus in 2011. They reconvened four years later and released their sixth studio effort, Long Live, with In Our Wake following in 2018.

"Don't Waste My Time" is a song by American singer Usher. It features vocals from British singer-songwriter Ella Mai. It was inspired by the 90's hit song “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)” by Hi-Five. The song was first uploaded to SoundCloud on November 19, 2019, although it was officially released by RCA Records on December 13, 2019 to online music stores and streaming services. "Don't Waste My Time" serves as the lead single for his forthcoming ninth studio album. The song was written by Usher, Ella Mai, Vedo, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael-Cox, while production was handled by the latter two.

One-third of the influential L.A. hip-hop group Dilated Peoples, Evidence was born Michael Taylor Perretta in Los Angeles, relocating from Santa Monica to Venice Beach with his mother when he was six, after his parents' divorce. Though Evidence was heavily into skating and graffiti while growing up, it wasn't until he was 12, when he moved next door to QDIII (Quincy Jones' son) and was able to see firsthand how beats were made and what it took to be a top-quality producer, that he became interested in seriously pursuing music.

Take the name of his new project: the cover of ‘Levon James,’ depicts the MC in a Lakers jersey doing Bron’s signature chalk throw. A symbol of aspirational greatness, but with a bit on the cheeky side. Von came in the Crtl box and did his thing with “Took Her to the O,” and "3 A.M." Check the vibe.

A child actress who had her breakthrough role at age 13 in the Coen Brothers' True Grit (2010), a performance that earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, Hailee Steinfeld is also a charting pop singer whose vocal talent was featured in the film musical Pitch Perfect 2 (2015). Born in Tarzana, California and raised in Thousand Oaks, Steinfeld acted in several television commercials, TV show episodes, and short films as a child before her feature film debut in True Grit. That role led to screen appearances with the likes of Harrison Ford, Jessica Alba, Kristen Wiig, Anna Kendrick, and Kevin Costner while still in her teens. In 2015, she was also featured in the music video for Taylor Swift's number one hit "Bad Blood," and on an acoustic version of Shawn Mendes' hit "Stitches." Her own pop single, the rousing "Love Myself," hit the Hot 100 that summer in addition to being a streaming and radio hit. Her debut EP, Haiz, arrived in November 2015 and included her second single, "Rock Bottom." The following July, she returned with "Starving," a collaboration with the EDM duo Grey and producer Zedd. In 2017, Steinfeld released the solo single "Most Girls" and a collaboration with Alesso, Florida Georgia Line, and Andrew Watt titled "Let Me Go." The following year she paired with BloodPop for the track "Capital Letters" off the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack.

Tone-Tone is a rapper from Detroit who debuted in 2004 and experienced some local success with singles such as "I Ain't Playin' Witcha" and "What Up Doe." Born Antonio Henderson in 1984 in Detroit, MI, he attended Finney High School and began rapping at age nine. At age 18 he made his full-length album debut with Skoolz in Session (2004). Released on the local independent label Wide Open Records, Skoolz in Session spawned the local hit single "I Ain't Playin' Witcha," which was given lots of radio airplay in Detroit. Tone-Tone was subsequently signed to a recording contract with Sho'nuff Records, the label of Southern rap producer Jazze Pha, and released a series of mixtapes on his own label, New Skool Entertainment: Strictly fo da Streetz (2005), Ride with Cha Boy (2006), and Motivation for da New Generation (2007). Nothing came of the association with Jazze Pha, however, and Tone-Tone returned to Wide Open Records for the release of his second album, D-Boy Fresh (2007), which features the single "Luv da Way She Doin' It."
