Atlanta rapper Ralo grew up with no intention of pursuing music. Born Terrell Davis in 1995, he spent the early part of his life in one of Atlanta's most dangerous and impoverished neighborhoods, struggling to raise money to support his family by means legal and otherwise. Davis was arrested often in his youth and served two serious stints in prison, abandoning an attempt at becoming an electrician before deciding to turn to music in 2015. Taking the name Ralo (or sometimes Ralo Famgoon), he called on Atlanta superstar Future to guest on his song "Can't Lie," immediately gaining local acclaim as well as more widespread notice. Ralo focused on a series of mixtapes, including 2015's Famerican Gangster and Diary of the Streets, both of which had sequels in the coming years.

As he continued making new music, he would collaborate with celebrated rappers like Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, 21 Savage, and others, while also forming affiliations with Cash Money Records and Gucci Mane's 1017 Eskimo Records imprint. In February 2018, Ralo released a third volume of his Diary of the Streets mixtape series, recruiting Young Thug, YFN Lucci, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Young Dolph, Gucci Mane, Future, and more; it reached number eight on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart. Later that year, he issued Conspiracy, with guests including YFN Lucci, Shy Glizzy, and Young Scooter. In 2019, he returned with the Free Ralo mixtape, featuring Trouble, Shy Glizzy, Young Dolph, Derez De'Shon, and others.

Bringing the spirit of Death Row Records to the 2010s, Sacramento MC Mozzy spits gritty rhymes with ominous productions. Born Timothy Patterson, he began rapping in 2004 under the name Lil Tim, releasing the "U Ain't Ready Like Dat" single in 2010. A name change came in 2011 when he issued the album Money Means Mozzy, which was followed by his 2013 mixtape The Tonite Show, hosted by DJ Fresh. Four mixtapes dropped in 2014, including Free Mozzy, which was issued while the MC was locked up on illegal firearm charges. Gangland landed in 2015 along with Yellow Tape Activities, and 2016 saw the Empire label issue both Beautiful Struggle and Mandatory Check. That same year, he contributed to a slew of collaborations with artists like Dutch Santana, E Mozzy, Juneonnabeat, and Philthy Rich. He followed in early 2017 with Fake Famous, which featured appearances by Iamsu!, E Mozzy, Cellyru, YFN Lucci, YG, G-Eazy, Jadakiss, and many more. After issuing the collaborative Can't Fake the Real with Blac Youngsta and Dreadlocks & Headshots with Gunplay, Mozzy released 1 Up Top Ahk, which debuted in the Top 100 on the Billboard main album chart in the summer of 2017. After appearing on the chart-topping soundtrack to the film Black Panther, Mozzy issued "Nobody Knows" with Jay Rock and DCMBR. A prolific 2018 included the Spiritual Conversations EP, as well as full-length Gangland Landlord. That year, he also joined Kae One for the collaborative set, Run It Up Activities (Team Player Records), which also featured the Jacka, Philthy Rich, and E Mozzy. In early 2019, Mozzy and Berner teamed up for the collaborative mixtape Slimey Individualz, which Mozzy followed up in May with the heartfelt "Legal Guardian/Guardian Angel," a track that paid homage to his grandmother.

Hailing from the southernmost suburbs of the Windy City, Chicago-based pop-punk unit Knuckle Puck formed in 2011 around the talents of John Siorek (drums), Joe Taylor (vocals), Nick Casasanto (guitar/vocals), Ryan Rumchaks (bass), and Kevin Maida (guitar). Specializing in a muscular and melodic blend of old-school punk rock and emo that's drawn comparisons to bands like the Wonder Years, the Story So Far, and Rise Against, the band put out a trio of self-released EPs (Knuckle Puck Demo [2011], Don't Come Home [2012], and The Weight That You Buried [2013]) before inking a deal with Bad Timing Records, with whom they issued a pair of EPs (While I Stay Secluded and Weight That You Buried) in 2014. Another deal was struck, this time with Rise Records, and in the summer of 2015 Knuckle Puck finally released their debut album, Copacetic, making a solid showing on the alternative and hard rock charts as well as Billboard's Top 200. Tours of the U.S. and Europe followed, and in March 2017 the band delivered a 7" single featuring a pair of tunes, "Calendar Days" and "Indecisive." Later that summer Knuckle Puck released "Gone," the first of three singles from their sophomore LP, Shapeshifter, which arrived in October of 2017.

Norway's Tom Stræte Lagergren (aka Matoma) is a DJ and producer known for his dance-oriented tropical house music. Born in Åsnes in 1991, Lagergren initially started out playing classical piano in his youth. It wasn't until his teenage years spent listening to his older brother's music collection -- including albums by Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, and Armin van Buuren -- that he became increasingly interested in electronic dance music. After high school, Lagergren, who had already started remixing and releasing tracks online as Matoma, furthered his studies by earning his Bachelor's degree in Music Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. By 2014, he had started to gain international recognition for his Matoma remixes, including cuts for Jessie J, Akon, Enrique Iglesias, and others. In 2015, he scored a hit in Europe and New Zealand with a remix of Notorious B.I.G.'s "Old Thing Back." That year, Lagergren also released his own debut single as Matoma, "Feeling Right (Everything Is Nice)," featuring rapper Wale and Jamaican dancehall singer Popcaan. That track found its way onto his debut LP, Hakuna Matoma, which arrived at the end of the year. Additional guests included Becky Hill, Sean Paul, Astrid S, Akon, Frenship, and remixes of Dua Lipa's "Hotter Than Hell," Jason Derulo's "Try Me," and Coldplay's "Adventure of a Lifetime."

In 2017, Lagergren issued the single "Girl at Coachella" featuring Magic! and D.R.A.M. It was followed by "Party on the West Coast," a tropical redux mix featuring Snoop Dogg and samples from Faith Evans and the late Notorious B.I.G., which was a chart hit in Norway. Following the track "Lonely," featuring MAX, Matoma released his sophomore LP, One in a Million, in 2018. The set peaked just outside the Top Ten on the Norwegian charts and yielded the modest hit "Slow" featuring Noah Cyrus. The next year, he teamed with MNEK and Kiana Ledé for "Bruised Not Broken" and Bryn Christopher on "All Around the World."

"The Day Before You Came" is a song recorded and released by Swedish pop group ABBA, their second longest (after "Eagle") at almost six minutes in length. It was originally released in 1982 as both a single and a track on the compilation album The Singles: The First Ten Years. Although it was the final ABBA recording until 2018 (over 35 years later), the song released as their final single was "Under Attack", which also featured on the singles compilation album.

Blancmange are an English synth-pop band formed in Harrow, London, in 1979. The band were a duo for most of their career, composed of Neil Arthur (vocals) and Stephen Luscombe (keyboards). They came to prominence in the early 1980s releasing four singles that entered the Top 20 charts in the UK, such as "Living on the Ceiling", "Waves", "Blind Vision" and "Don't Tell Me", and they released three albums during that decade, Happy Families (1982), Mange Tout (1984) and Believe You Me (1985). The duo broke up in 1986 but reformed in 2011 and released their fourth album Blanc Burn (2011). Luscombe left following the release and since then Arthur has continued to perform under the Blancmange name. He has released six further studio albums and a number of compilations, including a re-recording of the band's debut album, titled Happy Families Too....

Rapper Euro Gotit was considered a hidden talent in Atlanta's fertile and crowded rap scene, bringing a strong reading of the same melodic trap style as some of the city's most notable breakout stars. When the more established Lil Baby collaborated with him on the 2018 single "Posse," it opened the floodgates for new fans and supporters.

Euro Gotit was born and raised on Atlanta's Westside. His love for European fashion and cars got him the nickname "Euro," which he expanded to Euro Gotit when he began rapping publicly. He began as a ghostwriter but found that his rhymes had more energy and better delivery when he rapped them himself. Early songs like "On the Way" and "Wavy" caught some attention and local radio play in Atlanta, but when Lil Baby contributed a verse to the 2018 track "Posse," many new listeners perked up their ears. The song was featured on the 4N (Foreign) mixtape released that same year. Along with Lil Baby's featured verse, Euro Gotit was joined by Gunna, HoodRich Pablo Juan, and others. He followed the next year with his debut studio album, Foreign Exchange.

Paul Hardcastle - "19" [R'n'B, Soul, Funk]

Description : Paul Hardcastle - 19 (Official Music Video)

-

Paul Louis Hardcastle is a British composer, musician, producer, songwriter, radio presenter and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known for his song "19", which went to number 1 in the UK Singles Chart in 1985.

"19" is a song by British musician Paul Hardcastle released as the first single from his self-titled third studio album Paul Hardcastle (1985).

The song has a strong anti-war message, focusing on America's involvement in the Vietnam War and the effect it had on the soldiers who served. The track was notable for early use of sampled and processed speech, in particular a synthesized stutter effect used on the words 'nineteen' and 'destruction'. It also includes various non-speech, re-dubbed sampling, such as crowd noise and a military bugle call.

"19" features sampled narration (voiced by Peter Thomas), out-of-context interview dialogue ("I wasn't really sure what was going on") and news reports from Vietnam Requiem the ABC television documentary about the post-traumatic stress disorder suffered by Vietnam veterans. In 2009, the song placed at 73 on VH1's 100 Greatest One-Hit Wonders of the 80s.

"19" had huge international success in the charts; it went to No. 1 in the UK for five weeks, as well as a number of other countries worldwide. "19" became the top-selling single in 13 countries for 1985. This was helped by the fact that versions of the song, spoken by well-known local news anchors, were recorded in French, Spanish, German and Japanese. The song received the Ivor Novello award for Best-selling single of 1985. The song's English-language release came in three different 12" versions - "Extended Version", "Destruction Mix" and "The Final Story", all with an alternative cover design.

A venerable New York City-born heavy metal outfit that found success in the 1980s via their driving blend of arena-ready hard rock and anthemic power metal, Riot's popularity waxed and waned with the changing musical tides over the years, but they maintained a sizeable fan base overseas, especially in Japan, where they remained a huge draw well into the 2010s. Founded in 1976 under the leadership of guitarist/songwriter Mark Reale -- the band's sole constant member -- Riot is known for their strong melodies and technical acumen, and for the distinctive baby seal face that adorned nearly all of their album covers -- the mascot is affectionately referred to as "Johnny." Since becoming active in the late 1970s, Riot has released nearly 20 studio LPs, with highlights arriving via Fire Down Under (1981), Thundersteel (1988), and Immortal Soul (2011). After Reale passed away in 2012, the surviving members began operating under the moniker Riot V.

Over the years, the Pretenders became a vehicle for guitarist/vocalist Chrissie Hynde's songwriting, yet they were a full-fledged band when they formed in the late '70s. With their initial records, the group crossed the bridge between punk/new wave and Top 40 pop more than any other band, recording a series of hard, spiky singles that were also melodic and immediately accessible. Hynde was an invigorating singer who bent the traditional male roles of rock & roll to her own liking, while guitarist James Honeyman-Scott created a sonic palette filled with suspended chords, effects pedals, and syncopated rhythms that proved remarkably influential over the next two decades. After Honeyman-Scott's death, the Pretenders became a straightforward rock band, yet Hynde's semi-autobiographical songwriting and bracing determination meant that the group never became just another rock band, even when their music became smoother and pop-oriented.

Following the release of Break Up the Concrete, the Pretenders spent the next few years touring, but after 2012, Hynde put the band on hiatus. In 2014, she released Stockholm, her first-ever solo album, which was followed in 2015 by her memoir Reckless: My Life as a Pretender. In 2016, Hynde revived the Pretenders to record a new album with Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach as producer. Alone emerged in October 2016. 2019 saw the belated release of The Pretenders with Friends, a CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray package that documented both sound and images from a 2006 concert in which Hynde and her bandmates were joined on-stage by Iggy Pop, Shirley Manson of Garbage, and members of Incubus and Kings of Leon.

Canadian quartet Dizzy spin an ethereal blend of dream pop that they debuted on 2018's Baby Teeth. Formed in Oshawa, Ontario, the initial seeds of the group were planted in the mid-2010s by vocalist Katie Munshaw and guitarist/drummer Charlie Spencer, who met in high school math class and collaborated as a folksy acoustic duo. Later, Spencer's brothers, guitarist Alex and bassist Mackenzie, were recruited to form the founding incarnation of Dizzy, whose indie pop style was influenced by a wide range of artists including London Grammar, Radiohead, Stars, and Alvvays. Sprouting from suburban boredom and the desire to escape, they began writing material that ended up on their debut album, Baby Teeth (Royal Mountain Records), which landed in the summer of 2018. Produced by Damian Taylor (Bjork, Arcade Fire, the Killers), Baby Teeth featured the Lorde-esque singles "Stars and Moons," "Pretty Thing," and "Swim."

Named after a 1953 romantic comedy, London trio Dream Wife make a cheeky, sugar-coated mix of garage rock, punk, and ambient pop influenced by David Bowie and Madonna. Formed in 2014 while the members were attending art college in Brighton, Dream Wife features the talents of Iceland native Rakel Mjöll (lead vocals), Alice Go (guitar, vocals), and Bella Podpadec (bass, vocals). Initially, the group came together to play as part of an art project conceptualized around the idea of a band born out of one girl's memories of growing up in Canada in the '90s. The sound worked, and Dream Wife was soon playing other live shows, including an extended tour of Canada in 2015. In 2016, Dream Wife released their debut EP, EP1, on Cannibal Hymns. Their full-length debut arrived at the start of 2018. Dream Wife featured songs from their EP as well as singles "Somebody," "Fire," and "Let's Make Out."

Los Angeles, California-based metalcore outfit the Ghost Inside formed in 2006 under the moniker A Dying Dream. They released one EP, Now or Never, before changing their name and unleashing their debut full-length, 2008's well-received Fury and the Fallen Ones. Hard-hitting, passionate, and fueled by the kinetic riffing and thunderous breakdowns that have become synonymous with the genre, the Ghost Inside began to hit their stride on 2010's Returners, spending more and more time on the road honing their skills and sharing the stage with the likes of Devil Wears Prada, Bring Me the Horizon, and Parkway Drive. The band's third studio outing, Get What You Give, arrived in 2012 on the Epitaph label, and was produced by A Day to Remember's Jeremy McKinnon. The Ghost Inside's fourth studio long-player, Dear Youth, arrived in November 2014.

We’re All In This Together (ft. Joe Bonamassa)

Description : “We’re All In This Together” Worldwide 2020 - Walter Trout feat. Joe Bonamassa (Music Video)

Music video for Walter Trout's song “We’re All In This Together” that compiles imagery of fans across the globe as they navigate a world of social distancing amidst the pandemic.

Several weeks ago, Walter posted a message to fans which read, “Around the globe, we are currently going through unprecedented times with millions of us asked to stay at home. Doctors, nurses, hospital employees, and other essential workers are putting their lives on the line to treat those who are ill. It’s a time where we all need to come out together to wipe out this virus once and for all. I want to show that people all over the world are doing their part to fight the virus in a music video for my song, ‘We’re All In This Together. It would mean a lot if you would take a moment to take a picture or video of yourself, whether it be at home, at your job as a health care worker, or at any other place where you are doing your part, and in this picture, please hold up a sign showing where you are from!”

The end result of this endeavor truly captures a glimpse of our global population as we all navigate these challenging times. A moment where the ability for musicians to bring their art to the stage has been momentatily halted for the sake of The World’s inevitable return to normalcy. Please join Walter and all whom have contributed in sharing or simply viewing this video that captures a moment in time none of us ever envisioned being our collective reality.

Additionally, Walter’s wife and manager Marie Trout offers an insightful editorial on the power of live music, which can be read here: https://ift.tt/3au1Npd

Ross the Boss -- the band -- were named after the best-known stage handle employed by one Ross Friedman, late of power metal muscle men Manowar, and, before that, legendary proto-punk group the Dictators (where he went by Ross Funicello, for some mysterious reason). Having spent the better part of 20 years tucked away from the limelight, but involved with numerous part-time or short-lived musical endeavors, Friedman was coaxed back into the heavy metal mosh pit after performing a one-off set at the 2006 Keep It True Festival with a German Manowar tribute band (the Men of War -- snort!). That band, which contained vocalist/guitarist Patrick Fuchs, bassist Carsten Kettering, and drummer Matthias "Matze" Mayer, effectively became Ross the Boss alongside Friedman two years later, when the album New Metal Leader arrived in stores, soon to be followed by 2010's Hailstorm. So far, Ross the Boss have garnered positive reviews and offered a slightly less overstated power metal alternative for Manowar fans, while obviously gifting Friedman's talents back to the heavy metal community -- a win-win proposition.

Irish alternative group Picture This deliver pop-polished rock anthems that play like a mix of the 1975, Coldplay, and Mumford & Sons. Debuting in the late 2010s, their official debut Picture This topped the Irish charts upon release in 2017. Injecting mainstream sheen into their pastoral sound, they followed in 2019 with MDRN LV.

The band was formed by childhood friends Ryan Hennessy (vocals and guitar) and Jimmy Rainsford (drums), who grew up in Athy, County Kildare, and attended the same school. They later recruited friends Owen Cardiff (guitar) and Cliff Deane (bass) to solidify their quartet in 2015. In October of that year, Hennessy recorded the song "Take My Hand" on his iPhone and uploaded it to social media, accumulating over a million views. Following the success of the video, the group were forced to move their debut gig from the Grand Social in Dublin to the larger-capacity Academy. The achievement made them the first band in the venue's history to sell out their first show.

Having completed a tour of Ireland, Hennessy and Rainsford announced the release of their debut EP. Taking a D.I.Y. approach, the duo self-produced and recorded the songs at Rainsford's home studio. The self-titled, five-track collection, which included "Take My Hand," debuted at number one on the Irish Album Chart. Following a banner year for the young group, they wasted little time in issuing their first single of 2017, "Never Change." Two more singles -- "Everything I Need" and "95" -- followed, and Picture This headlined Dublin's Longitude Festival in July. Later that year, they released their self-titled debut record. Picture This topped the Irish charts once more, yielding an additional fourth single, "Addicted to You," their highest charting to date. The non-album single "This Morning" surpassed its predecessor, shooting to number six in 2018. The following year, the continued chart success of singles "One Drink" and "Everything or Nothing" heralded the arrival of their second effort, the polished, mainstream-ready MDRN LV.

Although often lumped into the post-grunge category, Third Eye Blind sported a brighter sound than many of their late-'90s peers, taking more influence from classic pop/rock traditions than the angst-ridden music that dominated the decade. The group scored their first hit in 1997, when debut single "Semi-Charmed Life" cracked the Top 10. Third Eye Blind built upon that success over the next six years, releasing a number of singles (three of which cracked the Top 10) while touring with the likes of U2 and Oasis. After taking a break during the mid-2000s, the band returned and have released three albums, including the Top 5 Ursa Major in 2009.

Third Eye Blind returned in October 2019 with Screamer, a stylized, modernized collection of original material that was recorded in part with Billy Corgan, who functioned as the album's "musical consigliere."

Silverstein is a Canadian rock band from Burlington, Ontario that formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and read the stories of as children. They have released a total of ten studio albums, four EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD. Their lineup had remained unchanged for eleven years since December 2001, consisting of lead vocalist Shane Told, lead guitarist Neil Boshart, rhythm guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In September 2012, the band had announced that Neil Boshart had been fired and would be replaced by Paul Marc Rousseau, who also joined Billy Hamilton on backing vocals. The band achieved moderate success with their second studio album, Discovering the Waterfront, which was nominated for a Juno Award and reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200 charts, with the following two albums charting at similar positions. Silverstein has sold over 1,000,000 albums worldwide.

The band left long-time record label, Victory Records, in 2010; and after a period with Hopeless Records and another period with Rise Records, they are currently signed to UNFD.

On June 27, 2019, Silverstein released a new single featuring Caleb Shomo titled "Burn It Down". The band plans on recording a new album later this year for a 2020 release. On January 8, 2020, Silverstein released another single titled "Infinite", featuring Underoath's vocalist Aaron Gillespie, along with the announcement of their next album A Beautiful Place to Drown, set to release on March 6th.

Today is Earth Day and my hope is that we celebrate the beauty of this earth, even in the darkest moments. I thought it would be fun to create a video that shows how you appreciate this planet that we call home. The soundtrack is my cover of George Harrison's Beatles classic "Here Comes The Sun," which I released this morning. Thanks to everyone that contributed to the video. We received over 760 submissions and were able to squeeze in about 92 of them.

The cover came about when a friend asked me to record the song for a Nike China campaign which you can see on their website. The video only used about 1/3 of the song, but I ended up playing around and finishing it.

As the sun starts to make more of a presence this time of year, it makes me feel a bit more hopeful and also appreciative of everything we have on this earth, even in troubled times. Much love and I hope we see each other soon!

"Here Comes the Sun" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1969 album Abbey Road. It was written by George Harrison and is one of his best-known compositions for the Beatles. Harrison wrote the song in early 1969 at the country house of his friend Eric Clapton, where Harrison had chosen to play truant for the day to avoid attending a meeting at the Beatles' Apple Corps organisation. The lyrics reflect his relief at the arrival of spring and the temporary respite he was experiencing from the band's business affairs. As of September 2019, it was the most streamed Beatles song in the United Kingdom, with over 50 million plays.

The Beatles recorded "Here Comes the Sun" at London's EMI Studios in the summer of 1969. Led by Harrison's acoustic guitar, the track features Moog synthesizer, which he had introduced to the band's sound after acquiring an early model of the instrument in California. Reflecting the continued influence of Indian classical music on Harrison's writing, the composition includes several time signature changes.

"Here Comes the Sun" has received acclaim from music critics. Combined with his other contribution to Abbey Road, "Something", it gained for Harrison the level of recognition as a songwriter that had previously been reserved for his bandmates John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Harrison played the song during many of his relatively rare live performances as a solo artist, including at the Concert for Bangladesh in 1971 and, with Paul Simon, during his appearance on Saturday Night Live in 1976. Richie Havens and Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel each had hit singles with "Here Comes the Sun" in the 1970s. Nina Simone, George Benson, Booker T. & the M.G.'s, Peter Tosh and Joe Brown are among the many other artists who have covered the song.
