Formerly known as Lil Herb, G Herbo relates his experiences in coarsely grained, urgent, and often pained form as one of Chicago's noted drill artists. He represents his city's South Shore neighborhood -- more specifically, an area nicknamed Terror Town. He debuted with Welcome to Fazoland in 2014, later rising on the Billboard 200 with 2017's Humble Beast and 2018's Swervo.

In February 2020, Herbo released his fourth studio album, PTSD. The star-studded project featured cameos from Lil Uzi Vert, Polo G, Juice WRLD, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and many others and peaked at number seven on Billboard's Top 200 chart. Herbo said much of the album's content came out of therapy sessions he underwent trying to sort through his troubled upbringing.

"Magic" is a 1974 song by Scottish pop rock band Pilot, and was the first hit single for the group. It was written by band members Billy Lyall and David Paton for their debut album, From the Album of the Same Name.

It charted most successfully in Canada, where it topped the RPM national singles chart on 19 July 1975, and received a gold certification. It climbed as far as number 11 on the UK Singles Chart and reached number five during the summer of 1975 in the US on the Billboard Hot 100.

According to Paton, the song is inspired by the sunrise on Blackford Hill in Edinburgh. In a 2012 interview with Hotdisc Television, Paton also stated that at the time, his wife said she'd "never seen a daybreak," which also inspired the song.

Los Angeles' Doja Cat is a singer and rapper known for her hypnotically wry sound rife with deep hip-hop and electronic R&B influences. After gaining buzz with her 2014 debut EP, Purrr!, Doja Cat rose to greater prominence with her cheeky 2019 viral hit "Mooo!"

Born Amala Zandile Dlamini in 1995 in Tarzana, California, Doja Cat grew up in New York City, the daughter of South African actor Dumisani Dlamini and painter Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer. As a child, she studied piano and took tap, ballet, and jazz dance lessons. Around age 11, she moved with her family to Oak Park, California, where she discovered surfing and breakdancing. By her teens, she was teaching herself to sing and listening to an eclectic mix of hip-hop, indie-rock, R&B, and electronic music. She also began recording songs on her computer and in 2014 released her debut EP, Purrr! She quickly found herself with a viral hit with the track "So, High." More singles followed including the languid "Nunchucks" and "No Police," each one grabbing attention online. Another single, "Mooo!," arrived in 2018 and quickly went viral.

AmalaOn the heels of that success, Doja Cat issued her full-length debut album, Amala, which found her expanding upon her dreamy, meme-friendly sound with more hip-hop-, pop-, and R&B-infused tracks, including "Candy" and "Roll with Us." In 2019, she issued an expanded version of Amala that added the singles "Juicy" and "Tia Tamara," featuring Rico Nasty. Her sophomore album, Hot Pink, was quick to follow; with features from Smino, Gucci Mane, and Tyga, the 2019 LP leaned more into the sexually wry aspects of her ever-shifting persona.

Besetzung:
Nathan Gray - vocals
Chad Istvan - guitar, backing vocals
Joshua Latshaw - guitar, backing vocals
Robert Ehrenbrand - bass
Jared Shavelson - drums

Chris Rakus -bass (song 14)
Charles Allen "Chuck" Ragan - vocals (song 11)
Matthew Davies - vocals (song 17)

Progressive hardcore band BoySetsFire was formed in Delaware in 1994 by singer Nathan Gray, guitarists Josh Latshaw and Chad Istvan, bassist Darrell Hyde, and drummer Matt Krupanski. Self-releasing their debut single, "Consider," in 1995, Boy Sets Fire soon resurfaced with a split release with Jazz Man's Needle, winning acclaim not only for the intensity of their live dates but also the intensity of their political convictions. The band's debut full-length, The Day the Sun Went Out, followed in 1997 and a split single with Snapcase preceded the 1999 release of In Chrysalis. Bassist Rob Avery replaced Hyde for 2000's After the Eulogy, the band's first release for new label Victory Records; This Crying, This Screaming, My Voice Is Being Born was released later that summer. Sucker Punch was issued in early 2001.

Abaji - "Liv @ NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert (From The Archives)" [World & Reggae, Live In Concert]

Liv @ NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert (From The Archives)

"Liv @ NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert (From The Archives)" music video by Abaji
Added: 03-05-2020
Genre : World & Reggae, Live In Concert
Description : Abaji: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert From The Archives

Tom Huizenga | February 15, 2010

Not many of us were familiar with Abaji before he came to play this Tiny Desk Concert. But after he left, we all knew a bit more about music from half a world away, and a lot more about a big-hearted musician with a quick wit and a passion for instruments.

Abaji's work spans many cultures and languages. With roots in Greece, Turkey, Armenia and France, he's at home strumming a twangy bouzouki, blowing into a breathy duduk or bowing a soft-toned kamancheh. When recording his latest album, Origine Orients, he played 10 different instruments, many of them simultaneously, with no second takes or overdubs. It took him just two days.

Abaji begins with a song from the album, "Min Jouwwa" ("From Inside"), accompanying himself on an invention of his own, a tricked-out Western-style guitar with extra strings, giving it the sound of an Egyptian oud. He follows it with "Summertime," with its haunting, serpentine riffs on the bouzouki and verses alternating between Arabic and English. Scatting in Arabic never sounded so natural.

After the cameras shut down, Abaji hung around for a while to rummage through his menagerie of instruments, showing us — and demonstrating — a large duduk (an Armenian cousin of the oboe), an Indonesian suling (flute) and a Colombian saxophone (of sorts) made from bamboo that looked more like a snake. It was something like getting a lesson in world music from a good friend.

Description : Kent Jones - Premaducers (Official Music Video)

Earning his cred as a producer before taking his music to the masses as a rapper/singer, Kent Jones is an artist signed to DJ Khaled's We the Best Entertainment label. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, Jones first became involved in music via his church, then his interests turned to jazz, a genre where he discovered the work of Quincy Jones. He later became interested in hip-hop, where he particularly admired the work of Dr. Dre and Timbaland, two bass-oriented producers who influenced Jones' own booming productions. After working with Ace Hood, DJ Traphouse, and other local artists, he was called up to the majors by DJ Khaled.

Now signed to We the Best Entertainment as a triple threat -- producer, singer, and rapper -- Jones released his "Don't Mind" single and appeared alongside Ace Hood and Vado on Khaled's cut "365." The latter landed on the NBA 2K16 video game soundtrack. "Don't Mind" would go on to be one of the biggest hits in 2016, rising into the Top Ten of the Billboard 200, hitting number one on the rap charts, and surpassing over 162 million streams by the summer. The LUH Mixtape and the single "Sit Down" featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Dicky, and E-40 were released in 2017. The hooky single "Merengue" appeared in early 2018, with "I Like It" arriving the following year.

Nestling in an explosion of European producers such as Avicii, DVBBS, and Hardwell, Hardway first appeared on the EDM scene with Garrix in 2012 on the single "Registration Code."
