An American metalcore unit based out of Los Angeles, California, Volumes were early practitioners of the groove-laden/palm-muted djent scene. Founded in 2009 by guitarist/songwriters Diego Farias and Daniel Braunstein, the band eventually grew into a six-piece with the additions of dual lead singers Michael Barr and Diego's brother, Gus Farias, bass player Raad Soudani, and drummer Chris Khoury. Braunstein departed prior to the release of their 2010 debut EP, The Concept of Dreaming, and was replaced by Daniel Schwartz. The following year saw the band embark on a North American tour alongside contemporaries Arsonists Get All the Girls, the Contortionist, and Structures, culminating in the release of their full-length debut, Via, which was released by Mediaskare Records. Also in 2011, Khoury and Schwartz left the fold, with new drummer Nick Ursich joining the band shortly thereafter. No Sleep, the band's sophomore long-player, dropped in 2014, and was supported by the group's first full U.S. Vans Warped Tour. Vocalist Barr departed in 2015, and was replaced by ex-Bury Your Dead singer Myke Terry, who made his debut on 2017's Fearless Records-issued Different Animals.

Sisters and actors Chloe and Halle Bailey are also musicians whose recordings have roamed from mature acoustic pop to sparse contemporary R&B. Separately and together, the Atlanta-born, Los Angeles-based Baileys have performed in several films, including The Fighting Temptations, Last Holiday, and Joyful Noise. In 2012, they established a Disney connection with contributions to a pair of Radio Disney releases and appeared the following year on the Disney television series Austin & Ally. The show's soundtrack, Austin & Ally: Turn It Up, featured their "Unstoppable" in 2013. That year, the duo also released Uncovered, an EP that contained elegant covers of hits by Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and Katy Perry. They signed to Parkwood Entertainment a couple years later, after their cover of label head Beyoncé's "Pretty Hurts" went viral. The Baileys appeared in Beyoncé's visual album Lemonade, and within a week of its release, they made their Parkwood debut with the five-track Sugar Symphony EP. Its most popular cut was "Drop," a song the Baileys wrote and produced. Later in the year, they were featured on Michelle Obama's charity single "This Is for My Girls" and opened for Beyoncé on European dates of the Formation world tour. The pair issued The Two of Us, a self-released mixtape, in 2017. In March 2018, they returned with their full-length debut album The Kids Are Alright, anchored by the title track and the single "Grown," which was the theme song from the television show and Black-ish spin-off, Grown-ish. Also included was the song "Warrior," which appeared on the soundtrack to the fantasy-adventure film A Wrinkle in Time. In 2019 they issued the singles "Who Knew" and "Thinkin Bout Me," both of which were also featured in Grown-ish.

Donna Missal is a songwriter who writes emotionally strong tunes about love and desire. She's also a singer whose voice, coolly seductive or openly emotional, proved to be an effective vehicle for her material. Setting her confessional lyrics against electronic backdrops that meld pop melodies with dynamics that bring a sense of drama to the songs, Missal established her style on early singles like "Keep Lying" and "The Keeper," while she consolidated her efforts on her first full-length album, 2018's This Time.

Asking Alexandria - "Like A House On Fire (Album Stream)" [Rock & Alternative, Album Streams]

Like A House On Fire (Album Stream)

"Like A House On Fire (Album Stream)" music video by Asking Alexandria
Added: 15-05-2020
Genre : Rock & Alternative, Album Streams
Description : Like a House on Fire is the sixth studio album by British rock band Asking Alexandria. It was released on 15 May 2020 through Sumerian Records. It was produced by Matt Good. The album shows the group's continuity of a more straight forward and melodic hard rock sound, as established on their previous self-titled fifth album.

The album received positive reviews from critics. Distorted Sound scored the album 8 out of 10 and said: "It would be oblivious not to address the elephant in the room; they've changed. This album, similar to their last self-titled release will, unfortunately, be cast into the shadows of its previous work regardless of whether the work is actually good. Fans need to stray away from their gate-keeping attitude and listen to Like a House on Fire as if it isn't the same skinny jeans, flippy black hair, Hot Topic poster boys from 2010… because it's not. 2020 has seen ASKING ALEXANDRIA into a whole new era of maturity and growth. Arguably their transition here hasn't been steady and hopefully, their next body of work will really hone into a newly established sound that doesn't lack in some areas but for the most part, this is refreshing and well-needed change." Max Morin of Exclaim! gave it 7 out of 10 and said: "Like a House on Fire won't win over the haters, but it is a massive improvement over anything Asking Alexandria have done before. The bar wasn't high, but credit where credit is due." Kerrang! gave the album 4 out of 5 and stated: "Like a House on Fire is an album that ebbs, flows and branches into numerous shapes and directions. It's also yet another Asking Alexandria album that will divide opinion. And, once again, the band themselves are unlikely to care."

English quintet Blossoms burst onto the British scene in the 2010s, quickly rising from local clubs to festival stages within a few short years. Their breakthrough debut landed in 2016 after years of anticipation, topping charts and winning fans with a catchy, synth-forward blend of Brit-pop and indie rock heard on songs like hit single "Charlemagne." Incorporating more new wave influences on their follow-up, 2018's Cool Like You, the band maintained their presence on U.K. charts and on the touring circuit. By the end of the decade, they were selling out shows, including one at a hometown stadium. The group entered a new decade in 2020 with their third LP, the lovelorn Foolish Loving Spaces.

Though their sound comes straight out of the spacy prog and proto-metal of the '70s, Swedish band Horisont formed in 2006. Comprised of singer Axel Söderberg, guitarists Charles Van Loo and Kristofer Möller, bassist Magnus Delborg, and drummer Pontus Jordan, the band conjures the sounds of rock and metal's age of exploration with sprawling compilations that evoke the classical influences of Yes and Jethro Tull with the drive and desire of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. The band's first album, Tva Sidor Av Horisonten, arrived on Crusher Records in 2009. From there the band continued to push the boundaries of fuzzy, revivalist psych rock with two back-to-back albums, 2012's Second Assault and 2013's Time Warriors, both of which were issued via Metal Blade. The self-described "space saga" Odyssey arrived in 2015, followed in 2017 by About Time, their first outing for Century Media.

Employing a sinister blend of goth-metal and dark industrial rock, Germany's Lord of the Lost was founded in 2007 by vocalist/guitarist Chris Harms, who had previously fronted Hamburg-based gloom-rockers Philiae. The group released its first studio LP, Fears, in 2010, with Antagony arriving the following year. 2012's Die Tomorrow saw the band crack the German charts for the first time, paving the way for subsequent successes like From the Flame Into the Fire (2014), Swan Songs (2015), Empyrean (2016), and Swan Songs, Vol. 2 (2017).

British doom metal band Paradise Lost formed in Halifax, England in 1988; originally comprising vocalist Nick Holmes, lead guitarist Gregor Mackintosh, rhythm guitarist Aaron Aedy, bassist Steve Edmonson, and drummer Matthew Archer, the group recorded a pair of demo tapes, Drown in Darkness and Frozen Illusion, before signing with Peaceville Records to issue their debut album, Lost Paradise, in early 1990. The follow-up, 1991's Gothic, was the band's breakthrough, its dark production and orchestral elements setting them apart from the competition; a major European tour also expanded Paradise Lost's fan base dramatically. Signing with the Music for Nations label, they returned in 1992 with Shades of God, considered by many to be their high-water mark; an EP, As I Die, appeared later that same year, complete with cover art by the incomparable Dave McKean.

After 1993's Icon, Archer left Paradise Lost, and was replaced by drummer Lee Morris; Draconian Times followed in 1995, with the more goth rock-oriented One Second released two years later. Arriving in 1999, Host, their first outing for EMI Germany, saw Paradise Lost straying even further away from their doom metal past by introducing elements of trance and melancholy downtempo into the mix. In 2002, the band moved to Gun Records and released Symbol of Life, which employed a harder, more metallic approach and featured guest spots from Devin Townsend, Jamie Muhoberac, and Lee Dorrian. Two years later Lee Morris left the group and was replaced by Jeff Singer, who made his first Paradise Lost album appearance on the group's eponymous 2005 outing. Released in 2007, In Requiem was issued via Century Media, as was 2010's Faith Divides Us, Death Unites Us and 2012's Tragic Idol, the latter of which marked the debut of new drummer Adrian Erlandsson, who replaced outgoing traps man Jeff Singer in 2008. In 2015, The Plague Within saw Paradise Lost return to their doom/death metal roots, as did 2017 punishing Medusa, their 15th studio long-player and first for Nuclear Blast. The band reversed this trend with 2020's self-produced Obsidian, which had a melodic, eclectic sound more reminiscent of their classic middle period.

Switzerland's Triptykon is another avant-garde extreme metal proposition orchestrated by heavy metal legend Tom Gabriel Warrior (né Fischer), of Celtic Frost and Hellhammer fame. Founded in 2008, following Celtic Frost's second dissolution due to disagreements between Warrior and longtime cohort Martin Eric Ain, Triptykon consists of Warrior with guitarist/vocalist V. Santura (also of Dark Fortress), bassist Vanja Slajh, and drummer Norman Lonhard (ex-Fear My Thoughts). The band debuted in 2010 with an album and EP combo named Eparistera Daimones and Shatter, respectively. A second album, Melana Chasmata, followed in 2014.

One of Germany's leading metal bands, Powerwolf combine high-speed guitar work and thundering drums with forceful vocals and dark fantasy themes. Powerwolf were formed in 2003 by guitarist Matthew Greywolf (born Benjamin Buss) and bassist Charles Greywolf (born David Vogt), two musicians who had been working together for years. Teaming with keyboard player Falk Maria Schlegel and drummer Stéfane Funèbre, the new group had trouble finding a lead singer who suited their vision until a visit to Romania where Matthew and Charles met Attila Dorn (born Karsten Brill), who had a strong voice as well as a passion for tales of werewolves, vampires, and evil spirits. The band became known as Powerwolf, with Dorn's lyrics meshing with the group's music, and they scored a deal with Napalm Records, which released their debut album, Return in Bloodred, in 2005. Metal Blade Records signed Powerwolf to a North American deal, and their second album, Lupus Dei, a concept album devoted to werewolf lore, appeared in 2007. Released in 2009, Bible of the Beast proved to be Powerwolf's final album with Stéfane Funèbre, with new drummer Roel van Helden joining in 2010. Powerwolf's fourth album, Blood of the Saints, appeared in the summer of 2011, and a live album, Alive in the Night, was released in 2012. Powerwolf signed with Capitol/Universal for the North American release of 2013's Preachers of the Night, while Napalm Records continued to represent the band in Germany, where the album debuted on the sales charts at number one. 2015 saw the release of the band's much-anticipated sixth studio long-player Blessed and Possessed, and in 2016, Powerwolf issued their first DVD/Blu-Ray, the sprawling Metal Mass: Live. 2018 heralded the arrival of album number seven, The Sacrament of Sin, which featured the singles "Demons Are a Girl's Best Friend" and "Fire & Forgive." 2020 saw the group combine a "best of" and "live album" in Best of the Blessed: alongside tour recordings and classic hits, the compilation featured re-recordings of the band's most iconic songs.

Pottsville, PA's Chyld sprang to life in the mid-'80s, led by prodigious singer/guitarist/songwriter John Joseph. The four-piece band started as a pop-metal outfit, but over the course of three demos their sound evolved immensely, becoming a deeply textured and virtuosic variation of progressive hard rock -- and a precursor to grunge. Their one and only full-length platter, the masterful Conception, was released by New Renaissance in 1988. Unfortunately, the band and label folded by the end of the decade, never to reconvene.

A near mythic band in the doom metal scene, Sorcerer was founded in 1988, but outside of a pair of legendary demos, the band wouldn't release a proper album until 2015. Formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1988 around the talents of John Hagel, Tommy Karlsson, and Peter Furulid (vocalist Anders Engberg and guitarist Mats Liedholm joined the following year), the band issued a demo (Anno 1503) in 1989. A second demo followed in 1992 (both were extremely well-received in the metal community), but the band soon splintered and disbanded (Hagel went on to join Tiamat). John Perez of Solitude Aeternus made both demos available through his own Brainticket Records in 1995, but it would be 15 years before fans would hear any real news about the underground doom rockers. In 2010, Hagel assembled a new version of the group, which included Engberg, Therion guitarist Kristian Niemann, Six Feet Under guitarist Ola Englund, and drummer Robert Iversen, and performed live at the Hammer of Doom Festival in Germany, and in 2011, Perez reissued the original Sorcerer demos on CD with previously unreleased material. By now the seeds had been sown for a Sorcerer resurrection, and the band began discussing plans to a record a proper debut album. Englund left the group in 2012 to join Six Feet Under and was replaced by Peter Hallgren (Rob Rock), and in 2015 the band issued their long-awaited debut studio long-player In the Shadow of the Inverted Cross via Metal Blade Records. A sophomore effort, The Crowning of the Fire King, arrived two years later, again with the support of Metal Blade.

U.K. rapper slowthai delivers raw, emotionally direct lyrics that address the struggles and concerns of British youth. His brash flow and hyperactive stage persona are equally influenced by grime and punk rock, and while his tough, fearless lyrics exude compassion and vitriol, he neither shies away from expressing vulnerability nor is he devoid of humor or playfulness. He began receiving significant press coverage around the time releases such as the single "T N Biscuits" and EP RUNT appeared in 2018, leading up to his debut full-length, Nothing Great About Britain, in 2019.

Known for a uniquely fluid and melodic yet mumbling vocal style, rapper Future busted out of the South at the dawn of the 2010s with a flurry of mixtapes, high-charting albums, certified platinum singles, and contributions to several other hits as a featured artist. After he scored his first commercial hit via a guest spot on YC's "Racks" (2011), Future quickly became a key factor in Atlanta's grip on the Billboard charts, often with production support from fellow ATL natives and dwellers such as Metro Boomin, Mike WiLL Made-It, Sonny Digital, and Southside. By the end of 2017, Future had amassed 32 Top Ten R&B/hip-hop hits as a headliner and featured artist. Meanwhile, 11 full-length projects -- including an all-platinum run of DS2 (2015), Evol (2016), and Future (2017) -- debuted within the Top Five of the Billboard 200. Future capped off the 2010s by adding to his Top 20 tally with the Grammy-winning "King's Dead," co-producing a remake of Super Fly, and hitting the top of the Billboard 200 again with The Wizrd (2019).

Future kicked off 2019 with the release of his seventh album, The Wizrd, which became the rapper's fifth solo chart-topper (and sixth overall). The 20-song set featured appearances by Young Thug, Gunna, and Travis Scott. Less than a month after that album's release, Future won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance for his contribution to "King's Dead." Future returned later in 2019 with the seven-track SAVE ME, which added a darker, more pained approach to the rapper's typical formula.

A brashly melodic indie rock outfit from Glasgow, the Fratellis feature vocalist/guitarist Jon Fratelli, drummer Mince Fratelli, and bassist Barry Fratelli. The witty trio played its first show in early 2005, maintaining that the band's moniker was merely an homage to Barry's original surname (however, other rumors suggest that the Fratellis borrowed it from the nemesis family featured in Steven Spielberg's film The Goonies). Such trivia only added to the Fratellis' growing appeal upon their debut, and the band's limited-edition self-titled EP arrived in April 2006. Although few copies were pressed, the record received a helpful boost from Zane Lowe's Radio One program, which put the acoustic-driven track "Creepin Up the Backstairs" into regular rotation. Televised appearances on Later with Jools Holland and Top of the Pops followed during the early summer, while the group's second single, "Henrietta," earned the Fratellis their first U.K. Top 20 hit. "Chelsea Dagger" began climbing the U.K. Top 40 that August, and the debut album, Costello Music, finally arrived in September. Although the album failed to chart in most countries (even an American iPod commercial featuring the track "Flathead" failed to spark much interest across the pond), Costello Music enjoyed a great deal of success at home, earning the bandmates a BRIT Award and peaking at number two in their native U.K.

In Your Own Sweet Time appeared in March 2018. The Fratellis headed back into the studio in L.A. with Hoffer to record their next outing, 2020's Half Drunk Under a Full Moon.

Nanowar Of Steel - "Sneeztem Of A Yawn" [Metal & X-Core]

Listen to the single "Sneeztem of a Yawn" here: https://ift.tt/2yZnhh7

Says the band: "This video embodies the essence of the COVID19-induced lockdown, both on its visual and lyrical aspects. While our mental conditions were deteriorating - as if they were not critical enough already - due to the restrictive isolation measures, we chose to escape and find a way out through music. We could not just sit down, sever our ties with the outside world and wait for electronic appliances to become our best friends. We had to react and express our pain through art. This time, for the first time, we chose to keep our lyrics devoid of jokes and puns, and tried to deliver a text that conveys to our listener the feelings of hollowness, boredom, sickness and uneasiness we've been enduring universal manner, with words that everyone can understand and identify with. This required an exceptional poetic effort from our side, which we hope our listeners can appreciate and understand.Warning: this video contains disturbing images of our alienating daily routine."

Nanowar is a comedy heavy metal band from Rome, Italy. Their name is a pun on the metal band Manowar, and represents their tendency to satirize True Metal, the primary focus of their music. Their work mainly aims to make humorous references to and jokes about the genre, often parodying the way in which power metal bands are perceived to take themselves very seriously.

In 2006 the band changed their name from Nanowar to Nanowar of Steel, as a parody of the Italian power metal band Rhapsody changing their name to Rhapsody of Fire after a legal dispute.

In May 2020, they released Sneeztem of a Yawn, a song about their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic, with scrambled lyrics.
