Shot By George Orozco

Filmed in Phuket, Thailand.

At first, Hopsin was famous for his falling out with the pioneering label Ruthless, but that became a footnote when the rapper, producer, and actor released the hit track "Sag My Pants" on his own in late 2010. Born Marcus Hopson, the Los Angeles native signed with Ruthless in 2007, with his Gazing at the Moonlight album following on the label two years later. A battle in the press followed, with Hopsin claiming he had not authorized the album's release, while Ruthless' owner -- and Eazy-E's widow, Tomica Wright -- claimed he had, but the end result was a professional split. Self-promotion suited the then independent rapper as his "Sag My Pants" track lit up Internet video-sharing sites in 2010. It would be featured, along with some diss tracks directed at Ruthless, on his RAW mixtape, which was released that same year. By 2011, Hopsin's image included white contact lenses that made him look quite ominous, and when coupled with a positive message, the rapper had found himself a welcoming posse with Tech N9ne and his Strange Music roster. In 2012 it was announced that the two were working on tracks for Hopsin's 2013 album, Knock Madness. Pound Syndrome followed on the label in 2015, with guest appearances from Jarren Benton and Dizzy Wright. It debuted at number 17 on the Billboard 200. Following the 2016 dissolution of Funk Volume, the label he had founded in 2009 with business partner Damien Ritter, Hopsin launched a new label of his own, Undercover Prodigy. His first effort for the fledgling label was a diss song to Ritter, "Ill Mind of Hopsin 8." Preceded by singles "The Purge" and "Happy Ending," he delivered his fifth album, No Shame, in November 2017.

Description : Cambatta - Bones of Osiris (Official Video)

Amidst the chaotic and perilous events currently shaking the globe, Cambatta presents “Bones of Osiris” an unapologetic, epigrammatic, street dissertation over a sinister composition produced by New York beatsmith Chup and the 2nd single to the upcoming album LSD dropping 7.21.2020.

"when I wrote this song, the moment I heard the beat I was inspired to write something that was wickedly witty yet motivational in a revolutionary sense. This song represents frustration and aggression but also knowledge of self and eagerness to nullify in the burning hunger in my soul.” - Cambatta

Not many heroes of indie folk have won an Oscar or created the basis of a successful stage musical, but Glen Hansard is an artist who can wear both of those feathers in his cap. As a member of the Frames and the Swell Season, Hansard won acclaim for his literate, intelligent, and passionate songwriting and his nuanced vocals, and he's gone on to win similar accolades as a solo artist. Hansard first gained an audience for the limber but emphatic indie rock he created as a member of the Frames, then gained international fame with fellow singer and songwriter Markéta Irglová in the duo the Swell Season; their emotionally open, primarily acoustic indie folk became the centerpiece of the award-winning independent romantic drama Once. After going out on his own with his 2012 solo debut, Rhythm and Repose, Hansard has shown a stylistic diversity as he embraced the sound of '70s singer/songwriters on 2015's Didn't He Ramble, vintage soul on 2018's Between Two Shores, and an eclectic swing between subtle folk and noisy indie rock on 2019's This Wild Willing.

Description : TORRES - Too Big for the Glory Hole (Official Video)

The single, "Too Big for the Glory Hole," is out now on Merge Records.

The project of singer/songwriter Mackenzie Scott, Torres' raw vocals and introspective lyrics embody the strength it takes to be completely vulnerable. Her 2013 self-titled, self-released debut album introduced her flair for combining drama with intimacy, a talent she continued to refine over the years. Whether adding a rock edge to 2015's Sprinter or adding folk and electronic touches to 2017's Three Futures and 2020's Silver Tongue, Torres finds fresh perspectives on soul-baring songwriting.

Norwegian electronic producer Kygo broke into the mainstream in the 2010s with a tropical house sound that he utilized on remixes of Seinabo Sey's "Younger," Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing," and Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire." Building a steady following with singles and live performances, he issued his debut, Cloud Nine, in 2016, topping charts in Europe and the U.S. and going multi-platinum in his native Norway on the strength of the single "Firestone" with Conrad Sewell. Subsequent hit singles included "It Ain't Me" with Selena Gomez, "First Time" with Ellie Goulding, and "Born to Be Yours" with Imagine Dragons.

In 2017, Kygo issued his sophomore follow-up LP, Kids in Love. The album featured guests like John Newman ("Never Let You Go"), OneRepublic ("Stranger Things"), and Wrabel ("With You"). Released in 2018, the Kids in Love (Remixes) LP offered alternate mixes and recut versions of tracks from his 2017 album and also included the new song "This Town," featuring Gucci Mane and Sasha Sloan. In 2018, Kygo teamed with Imagine Dragons for "Born to Be Yours," and returned the following year with "Think About You," featuring Valerie Broussard. Also in 2019, he scored a dance hit with a remix of Whitney Houston's "Higher Love."

Added: 09-06-2020
Genre : Rock & Alternative
Description : Diesel - Goin' Back To China - 09-06-1979 • TROS Top 50

Diesel is a Dutch rock group that became one of the relatively few Dutch acts to chart in the U.S. when their song "Sausalito Summernight" entered the U.S. Top 40 in 1980.

Diesel was created in October 1978 by ex-Kayak drummer Pim Koopman. The group consisted of Koopman (drums, keyboard and vocals), Rob Vunderink (guitar/lead vocals, composer and lyricist), Mark Boon (guitar, composer and lyricist), and Frank Papendrecht (bass).

Their first album, Watts in a Tank, was released in the Netherlands in 1980. One of its tracks, "Goin' Back to China" was released as a single and became a Top 40 hit.

The single "Sausalito Summernight" became a hit in Holland and reached #33 in the Dutch Top 40. In Canada it became #1 and in the Billboard Top 100 it reached to #25! Not many bands in Holland could beat that!

This TROS TOP50 recording was first broadcast by TROS TV on 9 June 1979.

Ludwig van Beethoven:
Symphony No. 7 A major op. 92

I. Poco sostenuto – Vivace
II. Allegretto
III. Presto
IV. Allegro con brio

hr-Sendesaal Frankfurt, 29 May 2020

In accordance with the current restrictions imposed by the Corona pandemic in Germany, this livestream series currently only features ensembles up to chamber orchestral size. The required minimum distances are respected. Streaming is also carried out in a reduced setting.

The Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92, is a symphony in four movements composed by Ludwig van Beethoven between 1811 and 1812, while improving his health in the Bohemian spa town of Teplice. The work is dedicated to Count Moritz von Fries.

At its premiere, Beethoven was noted as remarking that it was one of his best works. The second movement, Allegretto, was the most popular movement and had to be encored. The instant popularity of the Allegretto resulted in its frequent performance separate from the complete symphony.

The work was premiered with Beethoven himself conducting in Vienna on 8 December 1813 at a charity concert for soldiers wounded in the Battle of Hanau. In Beethoven's address to the participants, the motives are not openly named: "We are moved by nothing but pure patriotism and the joyful sacrifice of our powers for those who have sacrificed so much for us."

The program also included the patriotic work Wellington's Victory, exalting the victory of the British over Napoleon's France. The orchestra was led by Beethoven's friend Ignaz Schuppanzigh and included some of the finest musicians of the day: violinist Louis Spohr, composers Johann Nepomuk Hummel, Giacomo Meyerbeer and Antonio Salieri, bassoonist Anton Romberg, and the Italian double bass virtuoso Domenico Dragonetti, whom Beethoven described as playing "with great fire and expressive power". The Italian guitar virtuoso Mauro Giuliani played cello at the premiere.

The piece was very well received, such that the audience demanded the Allegretto movement be encored immediately. Spohr made particular mention of Beethoven's antics on the podium ("as a sforzando occurred, he tore his arms with a great vehemence asunder ... at the entrance of a forte he jumped in the air"), and "the friends of Beethoven made arrangements for a repetition of the concert" by which "Beethoven was extricated from his pecuniary difficulties"

Even with a career cut short by illness and a premature death, guitarist, singer, and songwriter Rory Gallagher left his mark in the blues and rock worlds. His hard-charging, intensely rhythmic playing style on his 1961 Stratocaster still casts a long shadow over rock & roll: Queen's Brian May imitated not only his playing but his gear early on; he credits Gallagher with the root of his sound. Eric Clapton said it was Gallagher who got him "back into the blues." Johnny Marr acknowledges a great debt as well: After learning how to play the guitarist's classic Deuce album track-for-track at 13, he revealed Gallagher's influence throughout his career. Marr also said that he received mentorship and advice on his conduct on-stage and off. Even U2's the Edge and Slash sing his praises and credit his influence. While Gallagher didn't tour the U.S. very often, he lived on the stages of Europe. But he was well-known on Yankee shores for his marathon-length, no-holds-barred live shows at clubs and theaters across North America. While never a major presence on radio in the United States, Gallagher nonetheless racked up a handful of semi-hit singles with "Laundromat," "I Walk on Hot Coals," "Shadow Play," and "Philby," as well as a slew of acclaimed albums from 1971's Deuce and the remarkable Irish Tour in 1974, through Calling Card in 1976 and Top Priority in 1979. Even after the hits, Gallagher continued to pump out high-quality albums including 1982's Jinx and 1990's Fresh Evidence. And following his accidental death on an operating table in 1995, Gallagher continued to win over new fans and influence artists of many stripes, including the mystery writer Ian Rankin, who created a posthumous compilation called The Continental Op in 2013 featuring the guitarist's many songs about spies and suspense.
