Premiered on The Kissing Booth 2 Fan Fest #TKBFanFest

Led by the bright, nimble voice of group founder Nicholas Petricca, spirited and quirky indie rockers Walk the Moon emerged from Cincinnati, Ohio with their first alternative hit, "Anna Sun," in 2012. They went from popular to ubiquitous courtesy of their international hit "Shut Up and Dance." It was taken from the group's third full-length, the platinum-selling 2014 release Talking Is Hard, which reached a high of 14 on the Billboard 200.

Description : Elton John - Little Jeannie (Live At Madison Square Garden, NY, USA / 2000)

Amazingly, Elton had not performed this number live since it came out twenty years earlier! ‘Little Jeannie’, from the 1979 album ’21 At 33’, was his highest-charting US hit between 1976 and 1988. On the night, John Jorgenson swaps out his guitar to tackle the iconic alto sax solo, while Nigel Olsson steps out from behind his drums to play tambourine and sing backing vocals. You can tell from the audience shots in this video, and the goose bumps on your arms, this one is magic.

"Little Jeannie" (spelled "Little Jeanie" on the cover of certain single releases) is a song written by Elton John and Gary Osborne, recorded by John, and released as a single in 1980 from John's album 21 at 33. It reached number three on the Billboard pop chart in the United States, becoming the singer's biggest U.S. hit since 1976's "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" (a duet with singer Kiki Dee), and his highest-charting solo hit since 1975's "Island Girl".

It became John's fifth #1 on the U.S. Adult contemporary chart, and was certified Gold by the RIAA. It peaked at #3 in both Billboard and Cash Box.

In Canada, it hit #1 one on the RPM 100 national singles chart.[4]

Composed in the key of B flat, which allowed its notable saxophone solo to ring out, the song can be described as an uptempo ballad similar in feel, with its electric piano, to his earlier 1973 hit, "Daniel". In the US, it would be John's highest-charting single co-written with Gary Osborne, while in the UK, where the song only reached number 33, "Blue Eyes" would eventually hold that honour.

Despite its impressive performance in the US charts, Elton John has rarely performed "Little Jeannie" live, doing so only on his 1980 tour and during 2000's One Night Only concerts.

Cults' twinkling experimental pop arrived in a shroud of mystery early in 2010, when the group posted three songs on its Bandcamp page. One of those songs was "Go Outside," which mixed dream pop haze with girl group harmonies (and, fittingly, samples of Jonestown leader Jim Jones) and earned the band acclaim from publications including Pitchfork and NME. Eventually, Cults' core duo was revealed as guitarist Brian Oblivion and vocalist Madeline Follin, who were also a couple. Later in 2010, Cults released Go Outside as a single on Forest Family Records and performed shows with bands including Best Coast. Early in 2011, the group made its U.K. debut and signed to Columbia Records; Cults' self-titled album, which featured production by Shane Stoneback, arrived in the middle of that year. The duo ended their relationship in the wake of their debut, yet continued to work on music together. Their second album, 2013's Static, took inspiration from their split and the pressures of growing up. Following the 2014 single "Being It," Cults took some time off, during which Madeline Follin formed the group Follin with her brother, Guards' Richie James Follin. For their next album, the pair took a more collaborative approach, with Follin playing drums and keyboards as well as singing. After working with engineer Shane Stoneback in studios in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, Cults emerged in 2017 with Offering, which borrowed from influences as wide-ranging as Pink Floyd, Gary Numan, and the Motels. A short set, Offering B-sides & Remixes, was issued the following year. June 2020 saw the band issue the single "Trials" ahead of the arrival of the full-length Host.

The Devil's trade is a one man gang chained to some burden that he pulls through his ways leaving tracks behind to lead or guide mostly him which directions not to and which to go again. The legs are old wounded up to the knees as the tracks are that deep and filled with sticks and stones but strict marks that lead him where he wants to arrive. His music is the dust he shakes during this pilgrimage of his.

Calboy has been a Ctrl favorite for a while, so it makes sense we’d have the Chicago rhymer spit for the At Home version of our performance series. A platinum-selling artist before he could legally imbibe in celebratory drinks, Cal is no stranger to making moves. He's been torching tracks with homies Fivio Foreign, King Von and Meek Mill of late, and last week, the 21-year-old dog-lover released the deluxe version of his 'Long Live the Kings' EP. One highlight is “Holy Water,” which he knocked out for us while holdin' his beloved new pup Lady in his arms. That’s real talent.

Canadian indie rock band Wolf Parade became critics' darlings and enjoyed an unexpected degree of commercial success in the 2000s and 2010s for their rich, dynamic music constructed from a wealth of influences. Their songs were unfailingly catchy, built from pop hooks that suggested they'd spent a lot of time listening to synth-based new wave sounds of the '80s. But they added a sense of drama and instrumental grandeur that was a throwback to prog rock (especially in Spencer Krug's Bowie-styled vocals), as well as a dash of wit and a lyrical stance that lent the songs a warmth and humanity despite the sleek surfaces of their recordings. Wolf Parade impressed both critics and fans with their first two albums, 2005's Apologies to the Queen Mary and 2008's At Mount Zoomer, and after a five-year hiatus, they returned to duty as strong as they were before on 2017's Cry Cry Cry.

Dante DeCaro left the band in 2018 after the completion of a world tour; they recorded their next album as a trio. The finished product, Thin Mind, was produced by John Goodmanson and arrived in January 2020

The sun-soaked punk of Yours Truly burst from the Australian underground with the release of their anthemic debut EP, 2017's Too Late for Apologies.

Formed in 2016 in Sydney by vocalist Mikaila Delgado, guitarists Teddie Winder-Haron and Lachlan Cronin, and drummer Bradley Cronon, the group quickly earned themselves a fan base, gigging relentlessly around Australia with their blend of anthemic, emo-inspired pop-punk. By 2017, Yours Truly had self-released their debut EP, Too Late for Apologies, and played dates with the likes of Forever Ends Here and Tonight Alive. The following year they dropped the single "High Hopes," which instantly got national radio play and saw them secure support slots with the likes of We the Kings and Say Anything. More live dates followed in 2018 before the group entered the studio to record their second EP. Preceded by the tracks "Circles" and "I Can’t Feel," Afterglow was officially released at the beginning of 2019.

A versatile, female-fronted metalcore unit based out of Ukraine, Jinjer have found success both in their Eastern European homeland and abroad with their punitive blend of post-hardcore and death/progressive/nu-metal. Drawing from a wide array of influences, including R&B, soul, hip-hop, and the full spectrum of heavy metal, the band formed in 2009 and features a lineup consisting of Tatiana Shmailyuk (vocals), Roman Ibramkhalilov (guitar), Eugene Abdiukhanov (bass), and Vladislav Ulasevich (drums). Jinjer issued a pair of EPs, 2009's OIMACTTA and 2012's Inhale, Do Not Breathe, before breaking big at home with the release of a full-length version of the latter album in 2013. The group's sophomore long-player, 2014's Cloud Factory, caught the attention of heavy metal institution Napalm, which signed Jinjer and released their third full-length effort, King of Everything, in 2016. The group toured heavily in support of the LP, hitting the European festival circuit and making their presence known overseas as well. In early 2019, the band returned with the Micro EP, again on Napalm. By the end of the year, its natural counterpoint, Macro, arrived.

Sheppard are a six-piece indie pop group from Brisbane, Australia. Formed as a duo in 2009 by siblings Amy (vocals) and George Sheppard (vocals/keys), the group slowly expanded to include their sister Emma Sheppard on bass, along with friends Jay Bovino (vocals, guitar), Michael Butler (guitar), and Dean Gordon (drums). Featuring a buoyant mix of strong harmonies and catchy, uptempo pop, the band released its self-titled debut EP in August 2012 and quickly expanded its touring horizons, playing festivals in America, South Africa, and the U.K.

By the following summer, their EP had peaked at number 18 on the Australian charts and they had been nominated for an ARIA music award. In February 2014 they issued the single "Geronimo," which shot to number one at home while also gaining traction in Europe and beyond. Prior to recording their first album, Sheppard signed with Decca Records internationally, yet remained independent in their home country. Released in July 2014, their debut LP, Bombs Away!, was a major success, reaching number two on the Australian charts before getting a worldwide release a few months later. The single "Geronimo" charted across Western Europe as well as in the U.S. and Canada, and hit number one in Australia.

The first single off their sophomore album, "We Belong," appeared in late 2016 and was followed the next spring by "Keep Me Crazy," which returned them to the Australian Top 40. Finally, in 2018, they delivered the full-length Watching the Sky, which also featured the Australian chart-topping, gold-certified single "Coming Home."
