ORIGINAL FOREIGNER MEMBERS REUNITE FOR 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF MULTI-PLATINUM ALBUM “DOUBLE VISION”

With more than 80 million albums sold and 16 Top 30 hits, Foreigner is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world. Now, ‘Foreigner - Double Vision: Then And Now’ takes viewers behind the scenes as original band members join Mick Jones and Foreigner’s current lineup for the very first time in the band’s 40-year history. Both incarnations of the band share the same stage for an epic performance. ‘Foreigner - Double Vision: Then And Now’ available now via earMUSIC.

Watch rock and roll history with one of music’s most anticipated reunion events as ‘Foreigner - Double Vision: Then And Now’ celebrates the 40th anniversary of the band’s multi-platinum 1978 album ‘Double Vision’ with a masterful live performance of the band’s biggest hits, filmed at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, Mount Pleasant, Michigan, USA.

Original members Lou Gramm, Al Greenwood, Dennis Elliott, Ian McDonald and Rick Wills take the stage with Mick Jones and Foreigner - Kelly Hansen, Tom Gimbel, Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein, Bruce Watson and Chris Frazier - to rock through some of the best-selling songs that bring back the memories that make it feel like the first time for both long-time fans and new generations.

Says Mick Jones, “This was a show that I will always remember! Sharing the stage with the guys that shaped Foreigner in the beginning and the stellar musicians that carry the flag in the new millennium, was a truly emotional moment.”

"We wanted to stage an elaborate production for the very first ‘Foreigner - Then And Now’ reunion concert”, says award-winning executive producer Barry Summers of Rock Fuel Media, who created this explosive rock celebration. “Something unlike any other previous Foreigner show has captured on film, that both visually and sonically breathes new life into their amazing classic songs – the songs that I grew up on - for the fans to enjoy for many years to come. I believe we achieved that in this film and live album."

Filmed in 4K Ultra HD using over 24 camera positions, the concert film features a stunning multimedia set design, with custom CGI animation, lasers, fog, and elaborate FX that elevate this powerful performance to new levels.

"Say You Will" is a song by British-American rock band Foreigner. It was the first single released from the album Inside Information (1987), and was co-written by Lou Gramm and Mick Jones. The single reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became their fourth #1 hit on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, holding the top spot for four weeks, starting on December 19, 1987.

"Say You Will" was one of Foreigner's last two Top 10 chart hits in the United States, followed by the 1988 release of the single "I Don't Want to Live Without You" (which reached No. 5 on the Hot 100 chart). The song also became the band's third-highest charting hit in Germany, where it reached No. 22, faring even better in Switzerland, the Netherlands, and particularly Norway, where it reached No. 4. The video clip for this song, directed by David Fincher, reached No. 1 on MTV's Top Twenty chart in February 1988.

Allmusic noted that the single was a "good example" of the band's "balancing act" as "the guitar-heavy style of their early work gave way to slick arrangements that pushed electronics to the fore...temper(ing) its rock guitar edge...and Lou Gramm's quasi-operatic vocals...by thick layers of chiming synthesizers and an array of electronic textures."

Guitarist, songwriter, and bandleader Ben Harper enjoyed cult status on the jam band scene in the 1990s largely due to the success of his debut album, Welcome to the Cruel World, and its follow-up, Fight for Your Mind, before gaining wider attention near the decade's end. During the 21st century, he transcended the genre to become a wildly diverse performer, collaborator and sideman who has worked with artists ranging from the Blind Boys of Alabama and Charlie Musselwhite to John Mayer.

Jeremiah Sand - "Message From The Mountain (Unearthed Studio Footage)" [Rock & Alternative]

Message From The Mountain (Unearthed Studio Footage)

"Message From The Mountain (Unearthed Studio Footage)" music video by Jeremiah Sand
Added: 01-09-2020
Genre : Rock & Alternative
Description : Jeremiah Sand - Message from the Mountain (Unearthed Studio Footage)

Filmed by a cult member at Purple Mountain studios in the late '70s.

'Lift It Down,' the unearthed album by Children of the New Dawn leader Jeremiah Sand, is out October 30.
Preorder: https://ift.tt/32Oj2jg

In 1974, Jeremiah Sand and his nascent cult The Children Of The New Dawn decamp LA for the Shasta Mountain region and Redding, CA. They set up shop, begin printing leaflets, hold gatherings and start growing their ranks through recruitment. Jeremiah and the Children are not necessarily an odd addition to Redding in 1974. Since the 1930s, psychonauts and spiritual seekers have been drawn to this area in Northern California under the shadow of the dormant volcanic cone of Shasta. By 1974, urban California hippies worn down by direct political engagement with state security forces have started drifting North and the towns along the border with Oregon state are filled with ad-hoc spiritual organizations, commune builders and lost souls. Jeremiah and the Children fit right in. A few years prior to assembling his flock, Sand had self produced and released an album of psych-folk that was unremarkable in almost every way, save for the unrelenting vanity and egoism on display in the lyrics. This early album is one of the only existing documents of Sand. The commercial failure of the album became the catalyst for Sand to leave Southern California and settle in a place where his "truth" would be "received by pure and open hearts". By mid 1974, the Children have grown in rank and Jeremiah becomes obsessed with recording "his masterpiece"...a musical message to the world, communicating a “Truth” that only he has been given spiritual access to. This project becomes the central focus of the Children. His lieutenant Brother Swann overhears that there is a small recording studio just North of the city. He arrives one day at the reception with a large gym bag full of cash and instructs the owner to cancel all sessions on the books. The studio will now focus on one thing and one thing only: helping Jeremiah realize his vision. Tents and rough structures appear on the surrounding property as the Children make the studio and its grounds their new home. They hold recruitment meetings where Jeremiah evangelizes in between endless recording sessions. The owner and his staff begin to feel as though they're being held hostage but the money is good and the Children keep paying. Overpaying. This goes on for years. New members drift into the sessions. A disgraced professor from the Electro Acoustic Music program at Evergreen state arrives with a full Buchla system he's "liberated" from the university, Jeremiah is entranced by it and for a few weeks the only sounds coming from the studio are blasts of atonal, corroded noise underpinned by ominous chanting. The mood changes. The town begins to turn against the Children. A few people have gone missing. Some teenagers. A studio engineer. By the Spring of 1977, the entire session has broken down into hallucinogen and cocaine fueled chaos. Bad vibrations. One night in early March, after a particularly grueling mixing session, the producer and owner of the studio is startled awake by an extremely agitated looking Brother Swann. Swann is sweating and wild eyed, casually holding a gun, explaining to the producer that "plans have changed" and that Jeremiah has "heard a calling and a Great Summons". They are leaving. All of them. That night. Swann directs the producer to put the existing reels in a lock box along with a short 16mm film, lyrics, album art and scribbled notes. Swann tells the producer Jeremiah will be back to finish his masterpiece. It all goes in the box and it's not to be opened until the Children return. They never do.

In 2018, wildfires rip through Redding, CA and burns it to the ground. Over a thousand of homes are incinerated. One rough structure north of the city is partially saved. There's a massive concrete basement filled with smoke and water damaged recording equipment and in the back...a lockbox.

No one knows who originally took the tapes out of the charred ruin of the studio but in a few months, a very strange album is making the rounds in the more esoteric circles of the underground. A long and confusing chain of custody ensues. A lost artifact of the transitional period between the late 60s and late 70s. A flawed and malignant sounding unfinished thing, clearly the product of a psychotically inflated ego and hubris. The album is by turns: amateurish, haunting, deranged, ridiculous and (for those attuned to these things) filled with crackling negative psychic energies. So much so that Light In The Attic flat out refuses to reissue it. Eventually, it lands in Calebs lap and Sacred Bones decides to restore the audio and give it a general release all in the name of preserving a historical document of a very weird place and a very weird time.

Founded by experimental folk artist Richard Dawson and avant-garde harpist Rhodri Davies in 2012, Hen Ogledd went through many expansions and shifts in sound as they evolved. Growing in numbers with each new release, they welcomed Dawn Bothwell to the band on vocals and electronics for their explosive 2016 live album, Bronze, and the addition of vocalist Sally Pinklington took things from improvised weirdness to polished electropop for their third album, 2018's Mogic.

Hen Ogledd borrowed their band name from the Welsh term for the region between Southern Scotland and Northern England, and the band originally consisted of guitarist/vocalist Richard Dawson and harp improviser Rhodri Davies. Their first recordings were shared in the form of a limited vinyl-only release in 2013 simply entitled Dawson-Davies: Hen Ogledd. In 2016 the group performed its second-ever live gig, adding vocalist/electronic musician Dawn Bothwell to the fold and capturing the cacophonous performance to tape. The edited form of this noisy performance was issued later that year as Hen Ogledd's second album, Bronze, again in a limited vinyl release.

Hen Ogledd signed to Domino Records offshoot Weird World for the release of their third album, 2018's Mogic. Now a quartet with the addition of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Sally Pinklington, Hen Ogledd took a drastic turn away from their largely formless beginnings on Mogic, a collection of more traditionally structured and pop-friendly songcraft.

Singer/songwriter Kevin Morby broke out of the shadows into a fruitful solo career, penning songs that melded Dylan-esque lyrical mystique with rootsy production. Along with contemporaries like Angel Olsen and Kurt Vile, Morby represented a wave of sharp, indie-bred 2010s songwriters whose audiences grew exponentially as they came into their own. Morby's development was particularly quick, his vision taking shape in a string of well-received records that included 2017's pristine City Music.

Recorded at the analog-centric Panoramic House studio in rural West Marin, California and prominently featuring its 19th century pump organ, the album saw Morby channeling Lou Reed and Patti Smith in a collection of introspective vignettes. It would be two more years before he followed up with fifth album Oh My God. The sprawling double album was semi-conceptual, with each song centered around loose religious themes. Adding to the concept of the album, its arrangements were stripped down to just one or two instruments rather than the relatively saturated instrumentation of Morby's other albums.

Representing Houston's Third Ward, rapper Fat Tony weaves thoughtful and creative rhymes atop inspired production like André 3000, Murs, and Vince Staples. Born Anthony Lawson Jude Ifeanyichukwu Obiawunaotu (and sometimes known simply as Anthony Jude Obi), the Nigerian-American MC grew up influenced as much by E-40, Lil' Flip, and A Tribe Called Quest as the Ramones, Black Flag, and Bikini Kill. After winning the Houston Press Music Award for Best Underground Hip-Hop three years in a row, he released his debut full-length, RABDARGAB, in 2010. Produced by frequent collaborator Tom Cruz (Supreeme), the album received the chopped-up remix treatment the following year on SCREWDARGAB. He later appeared as a guest on tracks by A$AP Rocky ("Get Lit") and Das Racist ("Luv It Mayne"), the latter also appearing on his debut with a verse from Murs. In 2012, Tony teamed up with Cruz for the joint effort Double Dragon (Young One Records). His sophomore LP arrived a year later. Written and recorded in less than a week, Smart Ass Black Boy included the singles "BKNY" and "Hood Party" with Kool A.D. and Despot. In the following years, he focused on releasing singles, starting with "No More" b/w "Love Me" in 2014 and "H-Town to L.A." and "Sushi" with Asher Roth in 2015. Look, a three-track EP recorded with producer P. Morris, was issued in 2016. Tony's third full-length, MacGregor Park, was released in the summer of 2017.

U.K. supergroup and progressive post-rock musical collective Crippled Black Phoenix have featured nearly 30 members in their rotating roster. A constant driving force is Justin Greaves of Electric Wizard and Iron Monkey, who started the band in 2004 with the help of Mogwai bassist Dominic Aitchison. In 2006, Crippled Black Phoenix released their first album, A Love of Shared Disasters, and started concentrating on live shows that often involved more than a dozen members on-stage. Resurrectionists and Night Raider were recorded from March of 2007 to August of 2008 at S.O.A. Studio in Bristol, and released in 2009, along with a compilation of songs from those two albums titled 200 Tons of Bad Luck. Arriving in 2010, I, Vigilante followed on Geoff Barrow's Invada Records, and sparked some attention with a stoner rock version of Journey's "Of a Lifetime." The more conceptual (Mankind) The Crafty Ape was released in 2012, and Greaves and company followed that up with the 2013 live album Live Pozna? and 2014's White Light Generator. The year 2014 also saw the release of Fall, the debut album from Greaves and Belinda Kordic's Se Delan side project. Crippled Black Phoenix released their sixth full-length outing, Bronze, in 2016 via the French extreme metal imprint Season of Mist. That same year also saw Se Delan issue their sophomore LP, Drifter. The Horrific Honorifics EP arrived in 2017. A collection of cover versions, it showcased the band's eclectic range of influences with tracks by the likes of Swans, NoMeansNo, and The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Their second Season of Mist full-length, Great Escape, arrived in 2018, preceded by the epic nine-minute single "To You I Give."

A natural talent, Quando Rondo was once a small child, secretly singing in the bathroom as a 9-year-old boy in Savannah, GA. His natural gravitation towards music lead to him to hip-hop; he began recording his fledgling verses on his cell phone. He quickly gained traction online, racking up millions of views on YouTube.

Fittingly, he titled his 2018 mixtape 'Life B4 Fame' with the hopes that things would change for the better once his career really took off. He was right—within two days, his mixtape had amassed more than one million streams on MyMixtapez. Things will only go up from there, and if the snippets from his forthcoming Rich Homie Quando project are any sign, he’s only only getting better with time.

Trizz, born Arthur “Tre” Lea III, is a self- released rapper from the Inland Empire, a region of Southern California, east of Los Angeles. The young rapper became an avid music aficionado at an early age, first picking up a microphone at the tender age of nine. Growing up in the suburbs, hip-hop became a way for Trizz and his neighborhood friends to escape boredom and the simplicities of living life on the outskirts. As his writing skills developed, Trizz perfected his lyrical skill and began producing his own beats and mixtapes under the moniker “Young Trizz.” His self-titled debut EP demonstrates the journey of an independent artist looking to lead ahead of the pack.

After dropping the “Young” from his stage name to signify his adulthood, Trizz released “New West,” a nod to the West Coast pioneers of rap. A steady stream of digital downloads and positive reaction in the virtual world led to the release of, “Case 17,” a mixtape named for the 17 murder cases committed by serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

Now at the age of 22, Trizz is indeed poised to become one of the most prolific lyricists of his time, consistently writing rhymes, producing new material and touring across the United States.
