Split the Sky felt like my early life crisis and so it only made sense to make the video out of videos that I’d made for other moments in my song filled life. Melanie, Lucas, Jules, Roland, Sarah, Erin, Bjorn, Marie and Lucy made all these videos and I’ve been the luckiest astronaut to get to work with them. Lupa J is a true genius for putting them together in such a beautiful story. This video made me cry, it has so many people I love in it. I hope it makes you cry too but in a happy cathartic good way. Alex

Australian grassroots singer/songwriter Alex the Astronaut made a name for herself with her ruminations of everyday life while blending folk and electronica, as heard on her 2020 debut album The Theory of Absolutely Nothing.
To Whom It May ConcernBorn in Sydney, Australia, Alex the Astronaut (aka Alexandra Lynn) first plied her blend of acoustic folk on the local D.I.Y. scene before issuing her self-released debut EP, To Whom It May Concern, in 2017. Earning airplay via national radio station Triple J's Unearthed series, her second release, See You Soon, appeared just a few months later. Over the next two years, Alex played numerous festivals, live dates, and a co-headlined tour with fellow Australian Stella Donnelly, before issuing the live album The Space Tour Live (At Your Place), in mid-2019. At the beginning of 2020, Alex issued the first fruits of her debut album with the release of the single "I Think You're Great." A handful of tracks followed before the album, The Theory of Absolutely Nothing, was released toward the end of the year.Australian grassroots singer/songwriter Alex the Astronaut made a name for herself with her ruminations of everyday life while blending folk and electronica, as heard on her 2020 debut album The Theory of Absolutely Nothing.
