An all-female Swiss heavy metal ensemble, Burning Witches engage in a punishing blend of old-school power metal and neck-snapping thrash that invokes names like Dio, Judas Priest, and Grave Digger. Founded by guitar player Romana Kalkuhl in 2015 in the town of Brugg, the group coalesced around a lineup that also featured bassist Jeanine Grob, vocalist Seraina Telli, and drummer Lala Frischknecht. The band called on producers V.O. Pulver (Panzer) and Schmier (from Destruction) to help shape their eponymous 2017 debut. The LP caught the attention of Nuclear Blast, which signed the coven the following year. Adding second guitarist Sonia "Anubis" Nusselder, the newly minted five-piece returned in 2018 with their sophomore effort Hexenhammer. Nuclear Blast repackaged the band's debut album with an additional live EP in 2019 under the title Burning Witches + Burning Alive.

Canadian group the Beaches blend brash garage pop with glam rock flash and girl group attitude. They formed while the members were in high school and their sugary punk-pop sound coalesced into something tougher and more '70s-inspired as they released more singles. Their 2017 debut album, Late Show, made enough of a splash to win them a Juno Award

Named after the area of Toronto they call home, brash garage pop outfit the Beaches are singer Jordan Miller, lead guitarist Kylie Miller, drummer Eliza Enman McDaniel, and keyboardist/guitarist Leandra Earl. The Miller sisters fell in love with music while they were kids: Jordan began guitar lessons at age six, and Kylie started playing a year later. Around the same time, their schoolmate Enman McDaniel experimented with a drum kit at her grandmother's house. In 2008, the trio formed the punk-pop band Done with Dolls with guitarist Megan Fitchett and signed with Disney, ultimately releasing a self-titled EP in 2009 and the singles "I Don't Like" and "Story of My Life" the following year. By the time they reached high school, however, they wanted a more mature sound and image; Fitchett departed the group and Earl joined the fold, completing their transformation into the Beaches. The band debuted in 2013 with the singles "Loner" and "Absolutely Nothing" before releasing its self-titled, Raine Maida-produced EP that May. They returned the following year with the Heights EP, which they produced themselves. In 2016, the Beaches released the single "Give It Up," the first taste of their '70s-tinged full-length debut, Late Show. Produced by Metric's Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw, the album arrived in 2017. The album -- and the single "T-Shirt," which topped the Canadian Rock chart for nine weeks -- proved successful enough to win the band the nod for Breakthrough Act of the Year at 2018's Juno Awards. Following that, they embarked on their first headlining tour of Canada and released another single, the Jacknife Lee-produced "Fascination." The quartet showed no signs of slowing down in 2019, releasing a five-song EP in May titled The Professional and heading out on a tour of North America and the U.K.

"Betty" (stylized in all lowercase) is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, for her eighth studio album, Folklore (2020), which was released on July 24, 2020. As the fourteenth track on the album, it was written by Swift and William Bowery, and was produced by Swift, Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff. It was serviced as a single to country radio, by Republic Records, on August 17, 2020. "Betty" is a country and folk rock song with an interlacing harmonica. Lyrically, it depicts James, one of the core characters of the fictitious love triangle described in Folklore, apologizing for his infidelity.

Upon release, "Betty" received positive reviews from music critics, who welcomed Swift's return to her country roots and praised the song's storytelling. The song debuted at number 6 on Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and number 46 on the Hot 100, scoring Swift her twenty-second top-10 hit on the former. Elsewhere, the song reached the top-40 in Australia, Canada and Singapore. "Betty" is set to receive its debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry House, as part of the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards on September 16, 2020.

Kane Allen Brown (born October 21, 1993) is an American singer and songwriter. Brown first came to the attention of the public through social media. He released his first EP, titled Closer, in June 2015 and followed it with a new single, "Used to Love You Sober", in October 2015. After Brown signed with RCA Nashville in early 2016, the song was included on his EP Chapter 1, released in March 2016. He released his first full-length album, the self-titled Kane Brown, on December 2, 2016. The single "What Ifs" came from this album, and in October 2017, Brown became the first artist to have simultaneous number ones on all five main Billboard country charts. Brown released his second album, Experiment, in November 2018, which became his first number one album on the Billboard 200.

"September" is a song by the band Earth, Wind & Fire released as a single in 1978 on ARC/Columbia Records. "September" reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart, No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart.

"September" is in the key of A major with a tempo of 126 beats per minute in common time. The vocals span from A2 to E5.

Using a chord progression written by Earth, Wind & Fire guitarist Al McKay, vocalist Maurice White and songwriter Allee Willis wrote the song over one month. Willis was initially bothered by the gibberish "ba-dee-ya" lyric White used through the song, and begged him to rewrite it: "I just said, 'What the fuck does 'ba-dee-ya' mean?' And he essentially said, 'Who the fuck cares?' I learned my greatest lesson ever in songwriting from him, which was never let the lyric get in the way of the groove." The song was included on the band's first compilation—The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire, Vol. 1—solely to boost sales with original content.

Although several theories about the significance of the date have been suggested, the songwriter Maurice White claimed he simply chose the 21st due to how it sounded when sung. His wife, Marilyn White, however, claimed that September 21 was the due date of their son, Kahbran, according to lyricist Allee Willis.

Within the space of three albums, Powderfinger emerged as one of Australia's most popular radio-friendly rock bands. They hail from Brisbane, famous for its sub-tropical climate and its often ultra-conservative "deep north" politics. The band grew out of a three-piece, becoming Powderfinger in 1990 with the addition of two more members, including singer/guitarist Bernard Fanning. They cut their musical teeth performing cover versions of classics by Neil Young (taking their name from one of Young's songs), the Rolling Stones, the Doors, Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf, and Rodriguez. In the beginning, the group promoted their own gigs, posted their own flyers, and then put their earnings into 1,500 copies of a self-titled EP. The second EP Transformer was highlighted by "Reap What You Sow," a song featuring harmonies and showing off Fanning's soulful voice -- a taste of things to come. The band was signed to Polydor Records, Australia, and their major-label debut album Parables for Wooden Ears followed in August 1994. Produced by Tony Cohen (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the Cruel Sea), this album emphasized the band's heavier side. A Top Ten seller in their home state, the album launched Powderfinger nationally, thanks also to a bout of constant touring. After a creative hibernation and two CD EPs, recording started for the second album, the breakthrough Double Allergic, which revealed a significant shift towards accessible rock songs rooted in melodic grooves. The singles "Pick You Up" and "DAF" (which stands for the first three chords of the song) picked up strong airplay support. The album went straight to the Top Ten in September 1996, sold double platinum, and spent half a year in the Top 30. The follow-up album Internationalist was released two years later in September 1998, entered the charts at number one, and was still charting a year later when it landed the band a handful of ARIAs, Australia's annual industry awards. On a roll with September releases, 2000's Odyssey #5 again went straight to number one, became the group's biggest selling album with sales in excess of five platinum awards, and at the end of 2000, secured the band worldwide releases.

On 23 May 2020, the band reformed for a one-off livestreamed charity performance, One Night Lonely.

On 31 August 2020, Powderfinger confirmed the release of a new compilation album of unreleased songs due in 2020 and is proceeded by the single "Day By Day", set for release on 18 September.
