Bastille (stylised as B?STILLE) are an English alternative rock band formed in 2010. The group began as a solo project by lead vocalist Dan Smith, but later expanded to include keyboardist Kyle Simmons, bassist and guitarist Will Farquarson and drummer Chris "Woody" Wood. The name of the band derives from Bastille Day, which is celebrated on 14 July, the date of Smith's birthday.

After an independently released debut single and a self-released EP, the band signed to Virgin Records. Their first studio album, Bad Blood, was released in March 2013 and entered the UK Albums Chart at number one and included the hit single "Pompeii" which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. The band was nominated for four Brit Awards at the 2014 ceremony, winning the British Breakthrough Act. As of February 2019, Bastille have sold over nine million records worldwide. Bastille Doom Days Web AR won the 2020 Webby Award for Music in the category Web.

Starbenders are an American rock band from the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. The group was formed in 2013 when lead singer and guitarist Kimi Shelter contacted her former bandmate Aaron Lecesne about doing a new project. After adding guitarist Kriss Tokaji and drummer Emily Moon, Starbenders were subsequently signed to former Lady Gaga music director/guitarist Nico Constantine’s label, Institution Records. With Constantine serving as their producer, the band has released three EPs, one full-length, one 7-inch, and six singles on Institution Records and two singles and one full-length on Sumerian Records.

Starbenders began 2020 with a US tour with Asking Alexandria frontman Danny Worsnop. On February 14th, they released their debut full-length on Sumerian Records, Love Potions, produced by longtime producer Nico Constantine. Reflecting on the thirteen months it took the band to record the album, Kimi Shelter revealed, "We really just put our all into it. We wanted to come in old-school with it, and make sure that we were really honouring the ghosts of rock'n'roll past. It was frustrating, but the process really made us. It was both parts: beauty and pain."

As we prepare ourselves for the Nobody Safe project this fall heres Rich The Kid & Tropico with another banger.

As an early pillar of Atlanta's groundbreaking trap scene, Rich the Kid moved from collaborations with Migos, Young Thug, and others to starting his own label just a few years later. With a style very much in line with the dark, highly pressurized flows of other icons of Atlanta hip-hop, he established himself with a string of mixtapes and singles that has led to a deal with major-label Interscope Records, the multi-platinum hit "New Freezer" (2017), and the Top Five albums The World Is Yours (2018) and The World Is Yours 2 (2019).

Description : Rob Mazurek — Exploding Star Orchestra - "A Wrinkle in Time Sets Concentric Circles Reeling"

Rob Mazurek — Exploding Star Orchestra's "A Wrinkle in Time Sets Concentric Circles Reeling" from the album 'Dimensional Stardust,' due November 20 on International Anthem / Nonesuch Records:

Film by Mikel Patrick Avery

For his 2020 album with Exploding Star Orchestra, 'Dimensional Stardust,' Rob Mazurek arranged his pieces for eleven musicians—Nicole Mitchell, Jeff Parker, Jaimie Branch, Joel Ross, Mikel Patrick Avery, Tomeka Reid, Chad Taylor, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten, Macie Stewart, Angelica Sanchez, and John Herndon—and commissioned his long-time lyrics collaborator Damon Locks to draft original texts for the songs. The album recalls an array of Mazurek’s symphonic influences, from Béla Bartók to Morton Feldman to Gil Evans to Sun Ra to Pedro Santos to Bill Dixon to The Art Ensemble of Chicago. Opting to focus on tight ensemble orchestration over passages of open improvisation, he distills an orchestra of explosive improvisers into a graceful group exercise in melodic minimalism.

Based out of Toronto, Canadian noise punk trio METZ formed in 2007, taking equal inspiration from the battered rock trappings of '90s grunge and the noisier side of shoegaze's textural guitars. The group play taut, angular melodies with turn-on-a-dime precision and muscular impact, hitting hard and letting the noisier side of their personality take center stage. The trio's raw, combative sound was well documented on their self-titled debut album in 2012, but subsequent efforts such as 2017's Strange Peace found them refining their noisy rapport while hitting even harder than before.

In 2019, METZ collected their increasingly rare pre-Sub Pop releases on an anthology titled Automat. The single "A Boat to Drown In" arrived in mid-2020 ahead of the arrival of the band's fourth studio LP, Atlas Vending, which was issued later that October.

Sacramento, California electronic duo Rituals of Mine are a symbolic rebirth for singer/songwriter Terra Lopez and producer Dani Fernandez. Together since the 2010s, they made their official debut with 2016's full-length Devoted.

Formerly known as Sister Crayon, the pair linked up in 2010. Although Lopez created Sister Crayon, Fernandez joined the fold and they released two albums (2011's Bellow and 2013's Cynic) of beat-focused dark synth that was inspired by trip-hop and '90s hip-hop. While recording the third Sister Crayon album, Devoted, in 2015, tragedy befell Lopez when both her father and her best friend. died. After the twin losses, the pair decided to change their name, both as a way to put their loved ones to rest and to rebrand themselves with a moniker that fully belonged to both women. They signed with Warner Bros. and continued work on their album. Along with producers Wes Jones and Dave Clauss, Lopez and Fernandez also called upon the mixing talents of Tom Coyne (Led Zeppelin, Adele) for recording sessions in St. Augustine, Florida. Writing credits for the release also included contributions by Omar Rodriguez Lopez (At the Drive-In, the Mars Volta) on the title track. In 2016, they released "Ride or Die," influenced by the sounds of Portishead and Massive Attack. Before the official release of Devoted, they would further build their audience with opening stints for Deftones and Tricky. A handful of remix EPs landed in 2017, electronic reworkings of album tracks "Devoted," "Ride or Die," and "Armor."

In 2018, they began to roll out newly recorded music, including the dreamy single "I'll Always Be in Love with You" and the clattering electronic "No Time to Go Numb." The Sleeper Hold EP arrived in 2019, featuring the single "Burst." Lopez began writing new material by herself for the next album, making for a more personal record informed by the loss of loved ones and her experiences with discrimination; those tracks appeared on the 2020 album Hype Nostalgia.

Written by Bryan Adams and Robert John "Mutt" Lange

18 til I Die is the seventh studio album by the Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. Released on 4 June 1996, by A&M Records, the album became a commercial success peaking at No. 1 in the United Kingdom and No. 2 in his home country Canada. It was recorded on different locations which included Jamaica and France. 18 til I Die featured the number one song "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?", which had been released as a single and on the soundtrack to the film Don Juan DeMarco over a year prior, and 4 other singles: "The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is You" (the album's second single, released May 28), "Let's Make a Night to Remember", "Star", and "18 til I Die"; the album track "I'll Always Be Right There" was also released to radio in the United States. In addition to making music, his self-taught technical facility in recording studios has made him an in-demand producer and remix engineer: Wilson has helmed the controls for reworked classic rock albums from the catalogs of King Crimson, Yes, Jethro Tull, and Chicago, and he's engineered charting albums by Marillion, Opeth, and a dozen more.
